It has now been about a year since the new reformers were brought in. I continue to be a member because of the friendliness of the staff and how welcoming everybody here makes you feel regardless of your level of expertise. They have by now, relaxed the rules and become more understanding. You are now able to have your water next to you as long as it is in a container that is sealed. The cubbies remain and you can choose to use them. They have classes Monday through Thursdays in the morning and in the evenings and Friday to Sunday, only in the mornings. They multiple different instructors in each one has their own style, but they are all very professional and knowledgeable. They will correct your form will need it and will adjust the work out to fit your needs. The app to book the classes is very helpful and you are able to cancel through the app. If you cancel too close to the beginning of the class, you will lose your credit. Overall, I am glad I remained a member and things got better. read more

I started going to Pilates at the insistence of my sister. She is a member and was pushing me to attend a class. I don't particularly like to take fitness classes because I'm self conscious. I attended Alison's class and if it wasn't for her being so welcoming, supportive and encouraging, I may not have come back for more. She is the reason why I take unlimited classes. Her classes are always a great work out and she is really good at making sure our form is right. I look forward to her classes every time but you have to be quick cause they fill up fast! Everyone is helpful and just want to see you succeed and be the best version of yourself. There are different types of instructors and classes that will suit almost any need. Classes open two weeks in advance and there are four locations to choose from. Classes are about 50 Minutes long, and you'll definitely see results! I got really committed to getting back in shape and feeling good in my own skin two years ago. I had always been curious about Pilates and fortunately saw an ad for a free class from LA Pilates (as well as other local studios). I tried them all but fell in love with LA Pilates. I like the capabilities of the style of reformer they use and the variety of classes they offer. Since I began my journey two years ago, I've worked out at each of their locations and tried every type of class. I can confidently say I am the fittest I've been since my teen days of playing sports! And I am constantly amazed and excited to experience how strong I am. I love it here, it's perfect for what I need and looking for in a class. The facility is clean, the trainers(all whom have different styles and strengths) are friendly and Ben at the front desk is a peach. I'm so happy I did the free entry class, this place is really unsuspecting but that's part of the charm! Just upgraded my package too and I honestly feel like I could do unlimited because I find myself wanting to go more and more. I also like the idea of saving some money on top of getting in better shape. Ps- Veronica, Niko, Gilbert and Ashley are my favs but that's just about everyone there so it's safe to say they all rock. read more

Although the facilities are nice, I have 2 complaints. First, the beginner class is not really for beginners. The people in the class with me had been doing it for some time. There was very little to no adaptation for true beginners. If you go, be prepared to speak up and request modifications yourself, which is difficult in itself if you have never done this before! Second, and more importantly, they do not honor their own contract. After the second visit (1 free visit plus 1 visit out of my 10 classes per month package) I had extreme low back pain that would not stop. After visiting my doctor, I called the studio and requested my membership be placed on hold for 3 months to give me time to heal. But, after 3 months, my doctor said it was not a good form of exercise for my back condition and wrote me a note saying so. This doctor's note was required to cancel my contract according to their contract. But even though I did everything they required, they would not refund the unused portion of my classes, as the contract stated they would. I called and spoke to Art in the main office and he said that I had access to the other 9 classes within the 30 day period, however, I placed my account on hold 2 days after my visit for medical reasons, so I did not have access to them. The bottom line is that they would not refund my unused classes. If you choose to sign up, be careful! Just be aware that you will end up paying for a month of classes you don't want, one way or another! And maybe have a lawyer check that fine print! read more

I've been a member of LA Pilates for several years now. I still find each class as refreshing as the first time. Their instructors are wonderful and unique in their teaching styles. The small class size is ideal and I always feel you get the attention needed to perform the exercises correctly. Yes, this is a group class, if you need help, you need to be vocal about it. Even if you are in a "beginners" class, the instructors read the room and always challenge the participants. Knowing how to modify exercises to YOUR body will take some time and experience. The instructors all came from different studios and have their own way of teaching, so it keeps things different and allows you to find the classes that fit with your workout style. The classes are also varied with enough options at beginning and advanced levels to keep you engaged without being overwhelming. Great Pilates studio! All instructors have their own style which makes for a good variety. Gravity reformer is used here and I feel like I get more of a workout compared to the traditional reformer. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. There's no pressure to sign up and they have their rates posted online. Which made it very easy for me when I first signed up. I appreciated this since I've tried another Pilates studio in the area and they made it hard to figure out packages and pricing. Since coming here for about 5 months about 3-4 times a week, I have really notice a change physically. Highly recommend!! read more

I saw their ad for a free class on IG; I submitted my interest and someone named "Art" reached out. He gave me class options but I had to follow up with him to ask if I was signed up! (I should've known with then). Finally, I received a text saying I was "all set" and "booked"-I was never asked to confirm the appointment. Since I received a text saying "All Set" and "booked", I showed up and was told by a smug male at the front desk that he didn't know I was coming and put someone else in the class! He didn't care at all that my time was wasted! He only called to apologize after I said I was writing a negative review on Yelp! Bad customer service by "the guy in the front"-who didn't give his name. Bad business practices and poor communication!!! Terrible way to gain new clients-not going back! I hope the owner knows that the "guy at the front desk" is smug, careless and a poor communicator. Not going back. read more
