    Tiramisu
    James F.

For our appetizer, we ordered the Barada. As you can see from the picture, it came out with a beautiful presentation and it was equally as delicious. The roasted garlic on the bread was delicious. For my main course, I had spaghetti carbonara. It was super very good. One of the better carbonara as I have had in a very long time. It was smoky it was salty. It was just plain delicious. My wife had the pesky Rosa, which was made with Seabass and she substituted a Caprese salad for the other thing that was on the dish. She enjoyed her meal also, and as usual, I was able to finish the other half lol. One of the more interesting parts of her dinner were the potatoes. I believe they were real potatoes prepared properly, and not powdered or flaked rehydrated. For dessert, my wife ordered the tiramisu and I ordered the cheesecake with coconut. My wife says the tiramisu was fantastic. She liked it a lot. She really appreciated that it was a petite size. After a nice hearty dinner, it is nice to have a little suite to tickle the pallet. Unfortunately, I say that my cheesecake fell short. The flavor and the coconut were fine, but either this was a frozen cheesecake or it was an old cheesecake in the refrigerator too long. The texture was not creamy. It was instead crumbly. However, since I never liked the cheesecake that I get at a restaurant this is no exception, and I won't take away anything from the restaurant itself. Overall, I will have to say the service was fantastic, we sat outside overlooking the water on a beautiful evening, and it was the perfect top off to a fun day in Cancun. Just a side note, I was not able to get the pictures of the main dishes to download so I will add those pictures later.

Solid Italian food in the shopping mall of Cancun hotel center. Came with free bread with roasted garlic. Seafood spaghetti ok. Really liked cheesy bread and lasagna

We came here on a hot Spring day in March as the place is walking distance from our resort, offered a 10% discount, and my 8 year old wanted to come here over a Mexican restaurant. This place is amazing! All outdoors but was amazingly cool in the shade with a beautiful view of the ocean. The servers all spoke English and were very attentive. The margaritas and smoothies for the ninos were excellent. The Italian food was just as good if not better than what we had in Italy. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious Neapolitan pizzas. The complimentary appetizer of oven roasted whole garlic and bread was a pleasant surprise. The mezcalitas were good too. Service excellent. It's located in a mall and there are no proper directions on how to get there. It was quite a bit of a walk from the parking garage or we didn't know of a quicker way to get there! So keep that in mind and call ahead and ask for directions. Must visit for your pizza craving!

La Pizzarra - swing seating suspended from ceiling beams

Our group of three walked past several restaurants within La Isla Cancun Shopping Village before saying this, La Pizzarra was where we would like to have a casual late afternoon lunch. Nice open air venue with a view of the boardwalk & water. Loved the swing bar seating suspended by ropes from the ceiling beams. Played it safe and sat at a table. Looked at an online menu but finally asked for paper menu to browse. Placed the following order: * Calamari E Gamberetto Principo - shrimp and naked calamari rings, sautéed with a garlic-oil infusion and served with homemade crackers & fresh lime * Spaghetti Marinara - octopus, calamari & shrimp with black olives, roasted bell peppers and tomato sauce * Amante Della Carne Pizza - pepperoni, bacon, Italian sausage, ham, ground beef, and mozzarella with tomato sauce * Tecate and Heineken beers plus an Orangeade for our beverages. Our meal was accompanied with hot buns served with roasted garlic bulb, olive oil + balsamic vinegar. So delicious that we asked for a second serving! We have to say that this was the best meal so far on our vacation! Fresh ingredients, flavourful and reasonably priced. Would also return and highly recommend too. Our server was Dhanna was terrific!

Not just a simple pizzarra. Very good drinks. Both fillet with portobello and the other one was top of the line.

Pizza was like a soggy cracker literally the worst I've ever had. Couldn't even cut it without tearing totally uncooked

Meats Pizza, free bread, great appetizers!

Find their new location- same great food & wine... excellent view and some of the best pizza outside of Italy. We've gone for years in Cancun- always a winner. New Location in La Isla- outstanding servers... order the Pizz

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Maybe we ordered the wrong things to try, I thought everything was good, but nothing that was so good it made me want to hurry back.

The menu is simple with just enough options to where everyone can find something they like. I had the skirt steak tacos and my friend got fish tacos, We also ordered a frozen margarita and mojito that were huge!!!!! They are not pushy to get you in and out like other places. Will definitely be back

The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall near hotel zone. When we arrived, the eatery was pretty empty. After looking over the menu, we decided to shared the shrimp ceviche and filet mignon with some fries. For drinks, my friend ordered the tamarind margarita and I had our bartender/server make me something without alcohol. Our drinks looked great and were very refreshing! The margarita was strong and my mocktail was very pretty and gradient! It had orange juice, pineapple, and grenadine in it. The ceviche was very tasty! We loved the sweet mango pieces incorporated into it so much that we ordered extra mango. The filet and fries were also really good. I liked that they cooked the steak in a wood fired oven. The steak was cooked perfectly and we were so stuffed afterwards. Our server was very attentive and friendly as well. I had a good experience here and wouldn't mind coming back the next time I'm in Cancun.

Before we vacationed in Cancun, my BF Joe K researched all the nearby restaurants to our hotel…read more Using Yelp, he found this place to have continued high ratings. So we made a point of finding them on the second floor of a mall in the hotel zone. When we first found this hard to find location, we almost got it confused with another Italian eatery that specialized in pizza in the same area. We were the only patrons there, but hoped we would get special treatment, which we did. Our waiter was extremely friendly, spoke little English, and seemed inexperienced or maybe new. We ordered drinks to start off with, but we had to ask for menus after waiting quite a long time. The waiter made me a very delicious frozen margarita though and Joe had a Bohemian beer. We almost got pizza, but I wasn't in the mood, so instead, I ordered Ravioli Di Mozzarella Di Bufala. Joe ordered Pappardelle Con La Siccia. We began our meals with a Caprese salad and Italian bread (pizza dough style). While we waited for our food, I had time to enjoy the nice, romantic, atmosphere of the restaurant with smooth jazz playing in the back ground. I liked how modern and clean the decor was and they had TV's placed around the dining area. When our food arrived, everything was very good, especially the freshly baked bread. Joe liked it so much that we decided that we would return again before our vacation was over and try their pizza, hoping that our bread was a preview of what their pizza would be like. My only complaint at that time was that my dish was lukewarm. When the waiter asked us how everything was, I told him that my food was basically cold. He just laughed and said "OK". I knew that he didn't understand what I said and let it go. When the time came for our next visit, we once again almost went to the wrong restaurant, until I checked my bookmarks on Yelp to verify where we needed to go. (After all, the name of this place looks hard to remember or pronounce). As we entered the almost empty restaurant, we had the same waiter, however, I don't think he remembered us like we did him. He was still very nice but it looked like the owner or manager was present, and I could see he was under pressure to show us a whole platter of meats that they kept refrigerated out front. Then he told us about their specials. I almost felt guilty that we specifically came for the pizza this time. Of the appetizing selections offered, we decided to share a Margherita pizza. While waiting, we were able to watch the cook making the pizza near the pizza oven. When our food was served, we noticed right off that the pizza dough was nothing like the pizza bread we had during our last visit. In fact, the bottom crust was paper thin and soggy! Our dreams for a delicious pizza were immediately dashed! When the owner stopped at our table to see how we liked it, we were too embarrassed to tell him we hated it! After forcing down a few slices, we quietly paid the bill and left, knowing that we would have to write disappointing reviews and never again look back.....
