I loved that La Poblana was there, on a street corner, in Mike Pence's Hoosierlandia despite him occupying the vice-presidency. They said they could stomp out 'foreign' cultures but they did not! HA! I really enjoyed the chorizo breakfast burrito I had from La Poblana. It was made with chorizo, eggs, and fresh peppers. They also cut it in half and gave me enough hot sauce for ants. It doesn't come with sides, and I didn't need them, and it only cost $5. If you don't like that then you're the Dolores Umbridge of the Greater Bloomington area. I didn't like that they guy tried to upsell me twice on a different burrito, I don't mind suggestions but I do mind being told what I want to eat. I know what I want to eat.

Al Pastor and half of the burrito. These 2 items are sold separately. Full burrito: 5 bucks. Taco: in the 2-3 dollar range. Excellent deal!

This isn't a regular food truck for me since it's in another city. I believe this food truck sits outside of Cardinal Spirits on the weekend and elsewhere at other times. I'm not entirely sure. Our trip up was for Cardinal Spirits. It just so happens that this truck was there. I guess that makes this taco truck in the right place at the right time. After ordering, everyone was seated inside of Cardinal Spirits! This truck hand delivered our food to us! That's cool because they had to leave their truck and walk at least 30 yards to get to us. That's unheard of for a food truck. The service was quick too! I didn't do the ordering, but I did see the menu. I put my trust in my lady to order me something tasty. Not only did she not disappoint(like she ever does), she told me that the taco and burrito that she ordered was crazy cheap! Jiminy Cricket! Five dollars for a burrito and between 2-3 dollars for the taco? That burrito was easily six or seven bucks on its own. Like the four-star review says, "Yay! I'm a fan." While the food was fantastic, I'm taking off one star because it wasn't the best burrito and taco I've ever tried. Other reviews mention a la carte pricing and three dollar tacos. It's possible they switch up the menu. Three dollar tacos are a steal when I'm used to paying almost four bucks for a taco similar to this in Louisville. Along with that is the five dollar burrito. Again, a steal when I'm used to paying six-plus for a similar burrito in Louisville. If you see this truck out and need a quick fix, eat here! What I ate was just the perfect amount for the Cardinal Spirits tasting. It kept me completely satisfied until well into the evening.

La Poblana is absolutely one of the best food trucks in Bloomington! Probably the best Mexican one, honestly. If you want a taste of creative and authentic feeling Mexican fare , La Poblana is your friend. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because they can be difficult to find. Sometimes they even leave during the hours they're supposed to be posted at Cardinal for brunch. However, they are a food truck so this really isn't a big deal. Just a minor annoyance. Speaking of brunch --- get their Huevos Rancheros or Scotch Eggs at Cardinal on the weekend. You get a TON of delicious food for a reasonable cost. Not to mention you can also grab a craft cocktail while you enjoy your morning meal. Final note: This is one of the few spots in town where you can get horchata... So do it... You won't be disappointed.

The tacos are delicious and very good price. They have variety of options and the service is really fast.

I have had the opportunity to visit this food truck twice and I was pleased both times! Both times it was set up in the parking lot of Cardinal Spirits when we visited the distillery. The food is well priced, doesn't break the bank. A girl on a budget definitely appreciates that! And I am a gal who loves Mexican food. And more than that....BREAKFAST Mexican food! Suffice it to say...I got me a breakfast burrito. I love chorizo. It can get messy because, well....chorizo. Lots of grease. Delicious, artery-clogging grease! But anyway...that burrito! It was fantastic! It was what I got the first time, and it was so good I got is the second time as well! I've also gotten to try the tacos, which are just as tasty! Yum. Yum yum yum! It was super convenient, and it was super wonderful that when you ordered they gave you a metal number for your table and they will deliver your food to your table. A nice perk from a food truck! I'm not sure where you'll be able to find them going forward, as Cardinal Spirits just opened their own kitchen. But keep an eye out! Because breakfast burritos are just the best!

    Pork burrito.

Disappointed. Let the picture speak for itself. I got a $9.50 pork burrito. Seems like I mostly got lettuce & rice. If I had to guess there was maybe 1 (definitely no more than 2) ounces of pork in the entire thing. This is a food truck - they don't have brick & mortar rents and they don't pay real estate taxes, I expected a little better value.

From top: chicken, chorizo, carne asada tacos!

Fantastic for a taco fix! (Or any Mexican food, really) They have red or green salsa, but I defaulted to the red and was not disappointed! So hot - right up my alley! The tacos were a la carte and kinda pricey - $3.25 each, but the quality is there. Authentic, onions, cilantro on top of the fillings and surrounded by two corn tortillas. You can get your order to go, or they'll bring it to you inside Cardinal Spirits!

Excellent food and friendly staff. It is a food truck located in the parking lot of Cardinal Spirit. You order the food at the food truck and the owner delivers the food to your table in the distillery. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and a steak taco. I'd highly recommend stopping by.

My boyfriend and I have gone to Cardinal Spirits to hang out with puppies on the deck during Sunday brunch a few times, and we love the tacos from La Poblana. Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and the food is fantastic.

I had their breakfast burrito with chorizo while they were parked outside of Cardinal Spirits. SUPER DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend checking out their brunch menu. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and another had the French toast. Every loved their meals and they brought food to is. Super friendly staff is always a bonus too! I'm not sure how their normal is but if it tastes anything like the brunch I will check it out again!

I went to BTown to hang out with some friends and we went to the Cardinal Spirits distillery. We saw people sitting on their patio with awesome Mexican food and noted they were being brought from the food truck on the parking lot! My friends and I immediately went and ordered chicken, steak, and al pastor tacos. We also ordered chicken burritos, chicken enchilada, salsa and chips and horchata. Omg the most authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. Everything we ate from the salsa, hot sauce to the chips and corn tortilla were made from scratch! And you can tell! The chicken enchilada is served with mole sauce and wow.... I mean you know it was not from a jar or something. The horchata was unlike any I have drank! The owner said they actually made it with rice and not like most places where it is not made fresh or where it is flavored with syrup. This was the real deal!!!! Sad to say this has ruined it for me for other Mexican places. If only this food truck was not 4 hours away. Seriously go and check out what authentic freshly made Mexican food is about. You will not be disappointed!!

Great selection of tacos at a decent price. Fish & carnita tacos are pretty good here. Horchata is OK.

The two people running the truck were friendly and efficient overall. We were pleased to find that they accept credit cards (I guess that's getting to be the standard, but you still find a stinker from time to time that only accepts cash). Both arepas were hot and tasty. I had the chicken arepa and it was assembled fresh on the spot. I have no idea what an arepa is supposed to be but the tortilla/shell thing around it was very moist and spongy. It was a different texture than what I was expecting, but I really liked it. The chicken was well flavored and the cheese complemented the whole thing well. After I finished eating, I inquired as to why they don't layer cheese and meat rather than just adding the cheese to the top. She said that is the more traditional way to do, so they prefer to stick with that. Works for me. Maybe give this food truck a try for yourself before passing a final judgment. I think Juancho's has a good thing going as far as late night food options in Bloomington.
