This is inside of a tiny market, and they serve Middle Eastern foods, too. We ordered Cajun, a Thai Chili ettouffe and another with spinach artichoke and crawdad etouffe. These are served over rice, and come with garlic bread. These had been simmering for a while but were still pretty flavorful. Unlike Yats, there aren't a selection of hot sauces, but they were pretty nicely-spiced. Warn them if you can't handle spice. You get a beverage from a cooler, and many are available. There are seats for about 25 or so inside, more outside. The price isn't high for this restaurant row. Parking on the street costs money, unless it's Sunday. It's low-key, reasonably good food and a wide variety of it. We'll be back to try the Middle Eastern items, like falafel. The store is somewhat tiny and caters to Middle Eastern and South Asian tastes, with a few Latin additions. It's like a bodega in some ways, perhaps Bloomington's version of a deli with seats and variety.

The Godzilla roll was inexpensive but small. At first I thought the roll also had an uncharacteristically fishy taste, but I think that unexpected flavor was just been cooked fish. The fish was thinly sliced and I didn't want to dissect the roll to confirm, but that's what it seemed like. (Also, it's been more than 48 hours and I never got sick, so it probably wasn't bad fish.) The menu description of the Godzilla roll just says "4 kinds of fish", so it's possible that includes cooked and I just wasn't expecting it. A more specific description would have been helpful. I liked the roll inside a roll concept, but didn't really like the combination of cooked and raw (or whatever was giving it that specific taste) and was left wishing there was some sort of vegetable in the roll. I But for cheap sushi, there was nothing else really wrong with it, it just wasn't to my taste. The two people running the truck were friendly and efficient overall. We were pleased to find that they accept credit cards (I guess that's getting to be the standard, but you still find a stinker from time to time that only accepts cash). Both arepas were hot and tasty. I had the chicken arepa and it was assembled fresh on the spot. I have no idea what an arepa is supposed to be but the tortilla/shell thing around it was very moist and spongy. It was a different texture than what I was expecting, but I really liked it. The chicken was well flavored and the cheese complemented the whole thing well. After I finished eating, I inquired as to why they don't layer cheese and meat rather than just adding the cheese to the top. She said that is the more traditional way to do, so they prefer to stick with that. Works for me. Maybe give this food truck a try for yourself before passing a final judgment. I think Juancho's has a good thing going as far as late night food options in Bloomington.

Their vegetarian dumplings are all tasty but each is a little different. I've only tried the steamed so far because I really like the tenderness of the steamed version. The dumplings come with soy sauce and chili sauce for dipping, which are not optional - you need to dip them for the best experience. The chili sauce isn't too hot, so you can and should be generous with it. The Tibetan tea is interesting - it's a smooth milk tea, kind of like a milder version of Indian chai, but it does have its own unique taste that I can't totally put my finger. Other drinks are all good too, thought some aren't exactly as you might expect. The iced Indian tea is a little milky for my taste but the hot version is stronger. The Thai iced coffee is great but it's less sweet than the usual ones (not inherently good or bad, just depends on your preference). The mango lassi tasted closer to mango juice, but it was really refreshing. All of the food is kind of different from the usual restaurant style food from the various cuisines represented on the menu; it feels more like home cooking, so more subtle flavours, less salty and a little lighter, but very wholesome and hearty. The hotter spice level comes from a chili paste they add, and I recommend getting at least a level 2 (level 1 is no spice), because the chili paste also flavours the dish and level 2 is still pretty mild. The people are very kind and I love the calming atmosphere. I have seen them get busy in the evening on weekends, but usually you can count on being able to get a table.
