I ordered Valentine's Day conchas and paid upfront. The lady I spoke to told me to pick up the donuts Sunday after "2pm" which I was ok with that. Sunday comes and around 2:10pm she called me and told me I had until 2:30pm to pick up my cochas since she was closing at that time or to pick them up until the next day and hang up. Great little bakery near my home town of South Gate / cudahy area...we had been searching for good tamales open late at 8 pm - so we tried this place .. the lady that answered the phone was a total doll ! She went to the cabinet and actually told me exactly what she had in stock didn't mind that I called back again and asked if she had any veggie ones for my friend... we got there and she warned them up for us had them there and stayed for some amazing Pan dulce too !! La princesa bakery recently made me a beautiful cake for my daughter's Minnie Mouse themed 3rd birthday party. Not only was it was it adorable, it was also delicious. Some of the decoration was made of fondant which I normally don't like because it is very hard and messy to cut through, but this fondant was soft to cut through and looked awesome. read more

The worst cake in the world, I ordered a cake for my Brother-in-laws 25th Anniversary. The Guy said that it would be a two tier cake, pearlized in color and little pearls on each leavel. it sounded beutifel after we had talked, but when I got there to pick it up I was in shock that what I had been promised was nothing like what I was looking at. The cake they Tried to give me was a lop sided cake, the wip cream was missing on a piece of the top layer and most of all one of the worst parts was that there was a hair ON the cake. No one had any idea what had happened to the cake and the owner would not come out to talk to me. He told one of the employes that he did not do the cake so it was not his problem. As the owner of LA PRINCESA BAKERY every thing that happens there should be his problem and mostly what his employes do to make his business fail.
