Absolutely a 5 PLUS as we stayed here after a 36 mile bicycle ride and had absolutely best dinners…read moreand breakfasts! WOW! These people know how to cook whether it be rabbit or walleye for dinner, or breakfasts with crepes, eggs, Brie cheese and ham, croissants! They have beer and wine along with a rosé produced by them, so ask about it....I did not drink it but others loved it...I went with house red wine which was very good! Rooms, beds and service all excellent; I would love to come back to this place! Really nice people, nice place, delicious meals...who could ask for more!?!

We were on…read morethe first night of a bicycle tour along Le P'tit Train du Nord linear park from Mont-Laurier, Quebec to St-Jerome, Quebec. Our stay was perhaps even better this year than last year, and that's saying a lot. During the summer month L'Auberge Chez Ignace appears to cater almost exclusively to cyclists riding the linear park, and Ignace booked our entire cycling package this year, including the first night in St-Jerome http://www.ignace.qc.ca/en/menu-cycle-packages-en/menu-cyclo-rives-en . Our trip came off flawlessly. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon after riding about 58 kM from Mont-Laurier on the first day. The inn is right beside the bike path, across a quiet road from Lac Nominique. There was a shed, securely locked at night, in which to store our bicycling gear. There is a hot tub in the back yard, but we chose to cross the road and follow a short path to the lake. The water is a bit shallow there, but we managed to get in a refreshing swim and a nap before dinner. Rooms were very clean and have A/C available, though we did not need it. Dinner, as well as breakfast, was served at the inn, and it was truly superb. We ate out on a covered porch on a very pleasant evening. Appetizers included smoked salmon and venison terrine; main courses included dore, rabbit, lamb. Truly memorable meals. The selection of Belgian beers and ales was also quite impressive. Breakfast the next morning was similarly delectable, with green onion omelet, croissants, fresh fruit, etc. Our stay at L'Auberg Chez Ignace was the highlight of our bike tour. Next year, we may spend an extra day at Lac Nominique, just to stay a bit longer there. One last thing... watch out for the dog. He is very friendly and playful, but if you turn your back on him, he'll steal a glove from you. He wants you to chase him to get it back. I've had to do this both times when we were departing. Room tip: The three rooms on the second floor have queen-sized beds and are larger than the two rooms on the third floor.

What could be more perfect after a day at the most amazing spa in the world and a cozy Italian dinner than a perfect bed and breakfast experience? Not much if you ask me.... Where to begin? The home is picture perfect and nestled in the woods surrounded by leaves upon glorious leaves. An inviting front porch appropriately decorated for the season and a backyard filled with hues of yellow and a hot tub! Perfection! The room was lovely. Immaculate and cozy. The most comfortable bed complete with crisp white linens and super plush pillows. Their signature feather (plume is feather in French) was found creatively dispersed in the details including a throw pillow and on the door to each room. I loved every thought out detail such as the maple leaves as a nod to Canada. We took advantage of the oversized tub and lovely smelling bath accessories. We loved the playful addition of the rubber duckies! The robes were perfectly folded and a treat to put on after our relaxing bath as we cozied up. The room has a CD player, DVD player and and a small flatscreen with satellite. We had a fantastic nights sleep in this space. The house was super cozy as well and filled with local artist as well as the owner's own artwork. All were of gorgeous local scenes. Amazing! They are all for sale also! The food was unreal! We were graciously handed a menu to fill out before bedtime with a place to select a time we would like to enjoy our meal. I was a tad confused as there were so many options. You each choose one from each category. So much food and it all sounded incredible! It absolutely was! The hosts take pride in their culinary skills and it surely shows. Each dish was created, plated and garnished with the upmost care. They also have a hydroponic garden in the basement so your meal is garden fresh. The menu was very creative, but didn't stray from the local surroundings. They will certainly cater to your dietary needs. The night before our stay was Canadian Thanksgiving and we were invited to join in for a full dinner. They even went out of their way to make me veg friendly plates! The hosts couldn't have been friendlier, kinder and more knowledgeable of the area. It was an absolute perfect night and up there with our favorite bed & breakfast experiences. We would love to return again and suggest you do when you're in the area. It was roughly 15 minutes from town. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a perfect experience. See you again soon!

I appreciate everything that was done for us and I would definitely recommend this to family, friends, yelp users and anybody looking to find a very peaceful place with attentive and helpful hosts. They even make you feel like at home before you get to Canada! Very professional and respectful. This is the type of place you would go back to just because of how well you were treated! The well kept room was fully stocked; towels, fridge, snacks, robes and shampoo/conditioner in bathroom, private deck, lots of privacy, among other things. They advise you where to go eat and even get you a discount at some restaurants, they have a tiki bar with speakers, a hammock, spacy yard setup (great for kids), etc. There are restaurants and bars walking distance so no need to worry about drinking and driving. They go out of their way to make you feel like at home. All in all I would recommend this to anybody looking to have a great getaway and as I write this I am debating what day I should come back to this beautiful place! Also, if you are into bungee jumping they help you schedule your jump at Great Canadian Bungee (4.6 stars) and help you save money by discounting the price if you stay here and do the jump!

Anyway we drove up here since we were going to Great Canadian Bungee , and this place is only about a 5 minute drive from the place. She did all the booking for us which was awesome ! We arrived and everything was perfect. The room was gorgeous we stayed at the fantasy suite. Had our own personal balcony , a mini kitchen and lounge area. The room was very clean no complaints at all. Did I say the decoration was gorgeous in our room ? Because it was ! They have a huge backyard and if you have kids they have a play set for them as well. They also have a little tiki bar in the backyard. The landscaping is wonderful thry have a little bit of everything for everyone . The village is about a 10-15 min walk no need to drive. She gave us her personal recommendations and they were also great. Dawn and Sebastian were very welcoming and make you feel like your at home . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, a nice relaxing getaway.
