Once I realized the charge should not have applied in my situation, I disputed it with my credit card company. Very disappointing and questionable business practi

Had an amazing week of skiing with the family!…read more For a first time skiing in Canada we all agreed this was a good choice. Plenty of terrain for advanced skiing which most of our party was. There are plenty of beginner slopes close by if you are unsure if your little ones are right for hear. I don't typically stop for lunch but I could not help myself in going back time and time again to grab a chili to warm up and thaw out. Loved seeing the fresh baked goods at the top lodge, i can safely say I stayed away from them. Mid week parking very manageable. P2 & P3 lots very close for walking to the access lift. I took a hard slip and fall on the ice so be sure not to take long strides while going through the parking lot. Lift lines were a breeze all week, even on Saturday with the Duncan lift down. Longest I ever waited was 20 minutes on the edge lift, and that was because the lifties did not do a good job clearing snow under the chairs so everyone kept loosing their skis. I bounced around in the singles line and in my group of four and both moved very well. I would absolutely come here again, there is plenty of places to stay around the area so arriving on a Saturday night to ski Sunday is very doable.

Ski, Sleep, Eat, Repeat: A Family Getaway at Le Westin Tremblant!…read more If you're looking for the perfect spot to hit the slopes and then hit the apres-ski scene with style, look no further than Le Westin Tremblant! Nestled right in the heart of the pedestrian Tremblant Village, this place is prime real estate for both mountain adventurers and those who'd rather be sipping a hot chocolate by the fire than actually skiing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Alexia, who checked us in with the kind of warmth you wish your family gave you at holidays. Bonus points for letting us check in early! And let's talk valet parking - it was quick, it was easy, and best of all, our car stayed snow-free in the garage (goodbye, snow-covered car blues). Our room? Cozy and comfy! We had a king-sized bed that felt great after long ski days, plus a pull-out couch that could comfortably fit our two boys (8 & 4). The fireplace? Perfect for those chilly winter nights when you want to feel fancy, but also warm and toasty. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything. The shared balcony was HUGE--ideal for watching snow fall, although we did wish for some patio furniture to sit and sip hot cocoa. But hey, it's a shared space, so I get it! The room did feel a bit dated, but renovations are coming, and I'm all for a good facelift. Let's talk food. If you're lucky enough to have Titanium status (yes, it's as fancy as it sounds), you'll score complimentary breakfasts at Leo every morning. There were four options on the menu - see picture for "Platinum" options - and it was still a great start to our mornings. The place is sleek and modern, but unfortunately, a little understaffed, which made breakfast a slow burn. However, we were lucky enough to have Thomas, our French waiter who was basically the embodiment of charm. He served us with a smile three of our five day stay and made us feel like we were at a Michelin-star restaurant (though no Michelin stars were involved). Now, the location is PRIME. We were literally steps away from everything--restaurants (Poco Loco, Forge, I'm looking at you), ski rentals, lifts, and the Tremblant Activity Centre. We could even pop over to the water park, Mission Laser, and more in just a few minutes. Oh, and those ski lockers on the third floor? A game-changer. Just grab your gear and you're on the lift in minutes--goodbye, waiting in line! We had such a blast that we're already planning our return next year. Here's to another epic apres-ski trip, snow-filled days, and hopefully modern, renovated rooms

This time, we wanted a bit more quiet and stayed at the old village, which was the best choice to appreciate the local culture and enjoy relaxation and quiet nights. Club Privilege Mont Tremblant Voliere resembles the original layouts of old Residence Inns, with separate buildings housing five or six units of different sizes. It has a separate driveway off Chemin de Village and has two small parking areas which on high season, could likely become overcrowded. There is a pool which is un heated, and unserviceable in the Winter. Apparently the management used to have coffee in the morning or breakfast, but if so, it must be in non-winter season as the room was always empty. The units are small and cozy with newer propane fireplaces. We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath condo. Although small and perhaps tired, the units are quite efficient and were enough for our family of five people. The en-suite bathroom on the master bedroom was small, and with a shower so small that a large person wouldn't even be able to bend. The one thing that stood out was that the units were very clean. Kitchens are well equipped with refrigerators, range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. As well as a large storage space. The location of the complex is superb. Six minute walk to the Old Village center with its iconic Hotel Mont Tremblant. Three minute walk to the bus stop to the resort. Two minutes to the grocery store. Two minutes to the ice skating center. Enviable. Overall it was exactly what we needed.

Throughout the week, we had to deal with persistant flies in the bathroom, despite our best offert to keep the window closed. Moreover, there was a consistant foul smell that permeated the room creating an uncomfortable environment all week. As it turns out, those flies are drain flies and they are attracted to sewage and filth because where they lay eggs and breed. There are commonly found around leaking pipes or faulty bathroom drains. This explains the foul smell we put up with all week. At the beginning of our stay we asked for another condo and they say no that they were fully booked. To compound our disappointment, the presence of ongoing construction drilling noise in the foundation of our condo was significant nuisance. The disturbance began at around 9:00-9:30am with workers engaging activities such as talking, digging, and moving equipment. Later in the day, the sound of drilling into the foundation became particularly disruptive. This constant noise made it impossible to relax, read, watch tv or concentrate on work--one of us needed to complete remote work during our stay. I made an effort to address these issues with the hotel staff, but I was met with indifference. Their response, suggesting that there was nothing they could as the construction had to continue, left me feeling unheard and frustrated. It would have been appreciated if we had been informed in advance of the plan of the construction, allowing us to make an informed decision about our stay. As a result, we spent an entire day with windows closed to minimize noise, and we had to keep the blinds shut to maintain privacy, as our room was situated on the ground floor. Upon our return I contacted RCI Timeshare and their response was "RCI does not own or manage affiliated resorts; therefore, we have no control over refurbishment schedules" and then they did a copy and paste of : "In the future, if a concern arises during your RCI vacation exchange, it is imperative that you work directly with resort staff to resolve the matter.  It is ultimately each resort's responsibility to ensure its facility is well maintained and offers guests an enjoyable vacation experience.  Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome, please contact RCI during your stay.  By contacting us, you allow us the opportunity to respond to your concerns immediately." Had I known earlier what those flies were I would have never stayed in that condo! I really never expected that kind of condo rental. I really think this was a health concern for my family to breath that foul smell all week and have those flies in the bathroom constantly. Overall, this experience was far from the peaceful stay we anticipated, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to others. And I would have a hard time recommending anyone to purchase a RCI Timeshare! It wasn't worth the extra $420 and my RCI points I had to pay for the week.

Please when booking specify your preferences, I witnessed a woman yell at the receptionist because she "requested the balcony" but couldn't provide proof of it, she went on to say she had priority over everyone because she had been there for over 8 times. I was waiting with a toddler and a 3 week old newborn while she blabbed and was rude to the poor receptionist (make receptionist who is actually a very helpful and outstanding person). I just can't believe such people exist, so the only room with a balcony belonged to someone staying for 5 days (hello! that was us) and she demanded to have that room but thank God the receptionist gracefully stood his ground. Please don't be a Karen, anyways while she looked for the email she knew she didn't have (to show she requested a balcony even though it was common sense the she was to get a room with balcony) the receptionist apologized even though he had no fault and checked us in. It literally took less than 3 min and we were given our key card and instructions about the hotel. The hotel looks very nice and in great shape, I think it was recently renovated. It's wheelchair and stroller accessible from beginning to end, they have underground parking (15$/day). I did see a lot of parents with kids and well with the scene my kids put up, it's safe to say the hotel is newborn/ toddler friendly. The room was clean, great floor plan and well equipped for a short term stay. I liked the location of the hotel as it's directly in the city but to the side so you don't listen to the noisy people at night. The sanitation staff is really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very mediocre but the cappuccino is delicious the pool is a. I've size and very clean, there's a lifeguard on duty (depends if they wanna show up) and the water was murky (I guess from everyone's sunblock). There's a decent sized jacuzzi but the water is not hot but you still can chill there at night. I'd definitely return, my daughter enjoyed the pool and I loved our room and our view (pool view)/l hotel entrance. Great hotel at a great rate!
