This is a gem hole-in-the-wall. Until now, I had to go to Manassas for good pupusa. The pupusa familia is literally served in a large pizza box. The first time here, I saw at least 10 of them for to-go. Revuelta is great. We also had the fried chicken quarter with platanos. Very authentic and tasty dish. The fresh pressed orange carrot juice was delish! If you don't speak Spanish, be patient, and maybe have your Google translator. The pupusas are authentic, not so greasy as other places and cooked to perfection! The fermented cabbage (side) is also not overwhelmed with vinegar as others restaurants do. I did not think it was as big as it was. It's 8 slices of heaven! Each slices is about 2 regular pupusas. This had to be one of the worst dining experiences in my life. Ever. The sad thing is, the food here is amazing. We've dined in before. We've done take-out before. But last night was the worst. The dining room was crowded with a lot of parties with small children. It took almost 40 minutes for someone to come to the table to take our order. I was in wonderful company, so we let it slide since it was busy. When the food finally came, that's when things went downhill quickly. There were children--many children-running around the tables being completely ignored by their parents. They were crawling under our table, bouncing a ball which hit me three times, standing there staring at us while we attempted to enjoy our meal. Not once did a parent ask their child to show some respect and leave other diners alone. Also, not once did anyone working there ask the children to stop their behavior or ask the parents to control their children. It was ridiculous. And unnecessary. While I really like their food, I will not set foot in there to eat ever again, and will advise my friends/family to do the same. If as a paying customer you can't have the expectation of being able to eat in peace at 9pm at night without children being allowed to run wild by their parents and staff, why bother going? Were it not for the food, this place would now rate zero stars with me. read more

Eating an oversized pupusa sounds amazing but I'm a firm believer that experience enhances the taste! I finally got to visit this very popular pupuseria and tried there ginormous Pupusa. Although, the giant pupusa hit the spot and was plenty to share with a group of 5.The appetizer and other menu items fell short. The nuegatos had to much yuca which took away from the taste and the kids chicken nugget and fries were a little over fried. In addition. the service was a bit frustrating. The waitresses did not put effort in providing welcoming or friendly service. The appetizers were brought out last and they forgot multiple request for water. I did however enjoy the El Salvadoran restaurant theme and decor which to me was was very nostalgic. I also think the prices were very comparable and eating a colossal size pupusas was an experience! I personally wouldn't come here again because of the service and also I live in Colorado! read more

When we called to complain and demand a refund they hung up on us multiple times. After many phone calls someone finally picked up and said they didn't speak English and hung up again. First you put the cabbage coleslaw salad then you shred The chicken you actually put small pieces of shredded chicken in the middle of the sandwich the you put the fresh salad cucumbers, radishes, watercress beats and then on top of the crispy salad you add the warm sauce from the recaudó! The service is horrible. I had to ask for water three times and the last time I had to stand up and go to the cashiers to ask for water. We ordered appetizers which came out at the same time as the actual entree. Any restaurant owner knows that the appetizers come before the entree. The pupusa was a bit salty and the tamarind juice was way to sour. The hype is about the size of the pupusa, however the restaurant next door also has large pupusas. Tried the HUGE pupusa is was pretty good, the chicharon and yuca was amazing,the chicken taquitos were good also.. its a little tight on space but over all a nice environment. The wait time was a little long, but was worth it for the food. The only part of my visit that wasnt good was the fact that the mens restroom was fully wet, almost fell in the mens bathroom(assuming a tiolet leak?). So, I checked on Yelp to find a good Mexican restaurant in the area and this one came up. I typed it into my GPS and I would like to note for others that are unfamiliar to the area that the location is on 309 S Sterling Blvd, because 309 N Sterling Blvd is somebody's house. Anywho. The place is in the middle of a walk way in a shopping center that has seen better days. The inside looks like what used to be a smaller club and isn't much but at least its clean. The menu was filled with great pictures and lots of appetizing entrees. It really took me a little bit to decide, but i went with the Chicken Chimichanga. The rice that they serve is nice and fluffy and has alot of flavor to it. My girlfriend got the chicken fajitas and both of our entrees tasted like they were cooked on an open grill. Just great! I also have to comment on how AWESOME their Guacamole is. I'm not even a Guacamole fan and i couldn't stop eating it. This place doesn't look like much but the food is fantastic and i'd definitely come back. read more
