The loroco had a great taste, with a nice fresh quality. The side slaw was delicious, twangy with spice, and a yummy red sauce. The yuca y chicharrons platter was very large (could easily feed two). They know how to make chicarrons! Crispy, not too fatty, juicy meat. The yuca was cut into nice large chunks, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with the slaw all over for a flavor pop. I love the tamales and probably the only reason I still go here. The service is below average and this is just from a carry out perspective. I would suggest calling ahead of time to save yourself a long wait. I recommend double checking your total and also food order to make sure everything is there as I've been charged extra and have had missing items so just double check. All that aside - the tamales here are awesome and the prices are very affordable. They also are very generous with the sauce and pickled veggies that come with the pupusas. read more

Came here last weekend with my family: a party of 8 (6 adults/2 toddlers) and got seated immediately. PDA is a hole in the wall pupuseria in a strip mall, so don't expect any aesthetics here. It's a no frills, to the point joint that cost $40 for the 8 of us! The menu is in Spanish but the service is helpful and attentive. Lucky for us, most of us speak Espanol so no problem there! We all got pupusas that were pork and cheese. They aren't greasy which I'm used to, but still very good. Everyone had water expect for myself that got the Melon Pina juice which is to die for! The plantains were great as well. We got three dishes! Parking is free right outside which I can't ever seeing a problem. I love me some good pupusas! We saw this place driving by one day and decided to come here for lunch. Boy was that a good decision! It has a "hole in the wall" type feeling with excellent food and fast service. We both ordered a variety of pupusas: I got the bean and cheese ones and my boyfriends ordered the pork and cheese and the combo which had chicken as well. The pupusas were a good size and 2 each was more than enough. We had a very filling and delicious meal for under $12! We agree with the last couple reviews, and we too hope that they don't raise their prices, because they are perfect right now. Under $2 per pocket. I feel that the bean and cheese or squash flavored pupusas are the way to go, although hubby is chiming in and says "the pork with beans is great too!" The atmosphere is just fantastic and the background music: WONDERFUL. Salvadorean folk and dance music makes you just want to get up and MOVE IT! The space has an appropriate ethnic feel and decor. The restaurant starts hopping after about 7pm - whole families come in and sit around huge tables. Grandmas ordering tripe soup, kids ordering pupusas, parents ordering chicken dishes. Looks like a popular place! We ordered some sides, but we were mainly mpressed with the pupusas. We enjoyed them all except for the "everything" pupusa, which my husband said was so filled and large that it got mushy. This place is worth a visit. Me and my wife discovered this place 2 months ago by sheer luck. This place is a secret treasure. Since then we've been to this place 5 times. We LOVE this place! Everything here is lovely, the food, the ambiance, the servers (especially Sylvia, shes a darling.) everything! They have a tiny menu and we've pretty much tried everything. This has the best pupusas in the area, hands down! Not only are they delicious but they're so cheap. I usually order over the phone so the order is ready once I get there. It typically takes 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready. The curtido (cabbage) and sauce come in little baggies. The trick is to cut a hole in the sauce baggie and pour some inside the cabbage bag. I have eaten from three of their locations now. This is the real deal and is just the bomb for pocket change. My favorite pupusas are chicken or beans and cheese. Chicarrones a little salty for me. The bread pudding will look familiar to Latinos but nothing like the British kind. You and a friend can eat until you bust for under 12 bucks. They have tables and take out. I make a order to go and when I got home my food wasn't there, I called the waitress and I ask for my money back on my credit card but she said they can't return the money on food and she ask me to pass next day for the restaurant for a new orden. Next day I passed and when I got home "again" wrong food. I called again I said my food is wrong again I can't go but my husband he said that he's on the area and he can go. He pass 3 hours after and the waitress said that the manager who name is Wendy told her to trash the food because I didn't return the wrong food they give me already and now I have to pay "again" for my food. Nope. I will not be returning to this spot ever again. I came here because I was looking for a quick meal of a pupusa and a tamale. I've been to other spots with similar menus to this place, and I figured getting these things would be super fast. I mean, pretty much every customer orders either a pupusa or tamale (look at the other reviews!). So making these items should be streamlined and not time-consuming. When I walked in, there were basically all men in the restaurant, and they all stared at me as I made my way to the back register to place my order. The woman working it was nice enough, and acknowledged me soon after finishing up the previous transaction. She said it would be 10 minutes to get my items, and I thought that was reasonable. Unfortunately, it took about 20 minutes to get my one bean and cheese pupusa and chicken tamale! I couldn't believe it. I've had way more fresh and sophisticated meals come out in less time. To go along with the timing, no other orders were coming out after I ordered my food. So it was confusing to me as to why mine was taking so long. I just didn't understand the unbelievable slowness. Ugh, and another annoying thing - my order was for take away, and the sauce and slaw came in tightly tied plastic bags. THIS WAS THE WORST. Sauce in a bag? And it was so much sauce which wasn't necessary. To top it all off, the tamale and the pupusa didn't even taste good. They were bland and boring. Bottom line: there were no pros to outweigh the cons. Can't say it's totally bad because i know a lot of people like it but for me to say that I like the pupusas from a certain restaurant is rare because not everyone can make them as good and this is one restaurant I certainly don't like the pupusas, the orchata isn't good either, and last time I went I ordered the Pescado frito and it was kinda burned and I could tell it was fried the day before and fried again that same day which isn't tasty and the rice was combined with another rice maybe from the day before too because it was half soft and half hard. OMG....YUM!!!!!! Was in the area and decided to pop in and I'm gad I did! I ordered the pupusas. Each one is around $1.65 which is a great price. My son had a cheese pupusa which was full of a delicious melted mozzarella type cheese. He loved it so much that he ordered another one before he was done with the first. I had the mixed (revueltas) which have cheese, beans and pork. It was a delicious combination. The dough was flavorful and not too thick. It comes with a side of marinaded cabbage and a tomato sauce. The tamarind water/drink was very refreshing and tasty too. The 2nd time, I ordered to go. I ordered the same kind. The pupusas were so fresh and steamy hot when we got home. To start off this is a hidden gem, I never noticed this place because a gas station blocked the view. I'm glad someone recommended me this place because it pretty tasty. When I went to pick up my order there was a bit of a line but the staff was quite friendly and are good at multitasking. My favorite part of the restaurant is that they have an open concept kitchen, you can see what they cook, and looking at the pupusas while waiting made me more hungry and eager to get my order. We got pupusas and horachate, and man every single penny was worth it. The pupusas had a perfect consistency, not too soggy and not too hard, and the curtido was on point. The horchata was on point, not like other places where they make it too sweet or too milky. Overall, it's was a nice carry out and eating experience. (A pupusa is corn meal stuffed with pork, beans, and/or cheese and fried, served with a side of salsa and pickled cabbage). The food was delicious! The beau and I tried a pork pupusa, an everything pupusa, and a chicken tamale. It was $5 for everything. Yes. Just $5. For. Everything. The only downside was the service. The place was busy (it ALWAYS is) but our server walked by our table multiple times without even making eye contact.
