Parking is rough here and a little difficult to get to because of the main road, but what you'll find is a charming and authentic mom and pop pupuseria. AC isn't completely adequate so I recommend getting takeout on hot days. So I randomly found this actual whole in the wall while driving back from Leesburg. The parking is tight but it was packed with families! How authentic is this spot! The ambience made me feel like I was transported to El Salvador! Their steak burrito is HUGE! And so so good! It is stuffed and the price is so much better than Chipotle! I also loved their HUGE pupusas! The queso was so delicious and the cheese pull was insane. The pork and cheese had a different cheese but also so good. I ordered through Uber Eats and the delivery was quick! I ordered the Sopa de Gallina / Hen Soup and the Pupusa. Both were very delicious!! Everything was very flavorful! The hen was very tender and not dry at all. The broth was very flavorful and there were a lot of vegetables in the soup. just be warned that you do have to cut up the potatoes because the vegetables are pretty large. it's OK though because the food is very tasty and I will definitely ordering from here again. read more

This location is great to grab food on the go! We stopped here on our way to Middleburg, the kids were hungry and we needed a quick bite for the road. I called on the way and placed an order to go, it was ready by the time we arrived, everything was hot and nicely packed. The pupusas were huge and absolutely delicious!!!! We ordered bean pupusas, and Chicharron. The Chicharron ones were the favorites, but both were divine. We ordered tamales and they were so flavorful, tasty and different than the ones I'm used to. Things we got: Revuelta Pupusa (mixed pork and cheese): had to try a pupusa since it's in the name. And it was yummy! Love their sauce that it came with. Carne Asada Taco: The tacos come with two taco wraps and this one was okay, it was a bit dry and not as much meat as the pollo. Pollo Taco: the portion on this one filled both taco wraps to the brim and more. It's so yummy with the sauce it came with. Carne Burrito: this was SOO big. And it was FILLED, love that there is avocado in there to make it so rich. Sopa de Gallina: this hen soup was suggested by the staff and it was tasty. It's kind of like a chicken noodle soup but I think with rice?? There was a huge jalepeno, a piece of corn, some zuchini, and potato. It would be good for a cold day. It comes with a chicken drumstick and thigh and some tortillas. If you're looking for a chicken noodle (rice) soup, try this, otherwise nothing too special. Carne Asada Special: this came it's own box and was filled to the brim with food. It came with a lot of rice and two pieces of beef, some bean paste, and veggies. It tastes exactly as if it were made by your 80 year old abuela using a recipe passed down for centuries. The meat was perfectly tender. The soup was perfectly seasoned. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And the broth? Mouth orgasm. The steak burrito was very tasty as well but the meat was a bit dry. It includes fresh avocado and homemade fresh salsa you can tell by the cuts. The two salsa offerings they have are lackluster. THE PORTION SIZES ARE ENORMOUS. The burrito is 3x the size of chipotle burritos. The soup is 5x as large as a soup at Panera bread. Great pricing. Restaurant is plenty spacious. The food is always amazing at Cerritos!! We always get the pork pupusas. If my daughter loves it I know it's good! I haven't had it myself bc I don't eat pork but everyone else I have introduced this place to rave about how good it is! I have tried the salsa and the cabbage slaw that comes with it. I think they're amazing! I could drink that salsa I have tried the chicken tamales and they're my go to! The masa is so flavorful and the chicken inside too! My other half always gets the Beef stew and whenever he has it he always talks about how good it is. They give you a lot of meat in it too! It doesn't cost too little or too much for what they give you! I have never dined in but the service has always been amazing for getting take out! The soup was by far some os the best seafood soup Salvadorena style that I've had in a while, good for the price they were not stingy at all like most places with the seafood, We also had the hen soup also great dish presentation and taste wise was absolutely delicious and the served with the grilled pieces of hen on the side, charred to perfection with just the right seasoning both soups were amazing. However we ordered some pupusas to go and I was personally let down by this place the size was good for the price but the filling of them seemed to be lacking of cheese which is one of the main ingredients on pupusas and since I've had then there before it seemed like they are cutting cost and compromising quality so pleas don't do that make sure you get that good tasty cheese there. Service it was OK there was a lot of room for improvement on that area, and I understand that was the afternoon and on a Saturday but the servers were looking like they were forced to be there and very straight faced in fact, no one ask if everything was ok father we were served or whether we wanted to order anything else, and had to struggle to get their attention to get what we needed. So if someone from management reads this please address this issue most of the people I know that has been here got the same feeling about the service. The truth is I didn't really know what pupuseria was. But here's how I discovered this place. On my way back from running errands, I saw a line of people waiting to get into this place from Rt 50 (literally right off of 50, where it's John Mosby Hwy). My inner Yelp radar was vibrating like crazy and let me know: this is a must check out local place. I looked up what Pupuseria was and realized it was El Salvadoran cafe. I took a venture and called up and asked for very my current diet friendly (which is Pescatorian) shrimp quesadillas with side of yellow rice. I went to pick it up around 330p which I knew would be a low crowd times. I entered the cafe building from unpaved dirt lot. It's a literal hole-in-the wall gem. Even at 330p, there were patrons eating inside so can't imagine how busy they get around actual meal times. My order was ready, paid and picked up. I came home to enjoy one of the most delicious quesadilla I've had in my life. Those pump shrimps! And that white creamy sauce must be El Salvadorian version or Yum Yum sauce. So delicious! It was such huge portions I knew I could finish other half tomorrow. It was so satisfying. I'm so glad this place is so close from my new condo and thank my Yelp radar for detecting a gem like this. read more

I did a Yelp search on soups and this place popped up. I figured it was going to be pretty good by all the work trucks/vans in the parking lot. It did not disappoint! It was a locally run shop with very friendly people. Food came out quickly and everything was fantastic. It was made by scratch and tasted great. I got the sopa de res. Having a Colombian wife I'm used to ordering the caldo de res. The difference is the number of ribs in the soup. This thing was packed with beef ribs. The broth was top notch with big chucks of carrots and potatoes and good portions of green onions and cilantro. It honestly, was too much for me and I left some behind. I've eaten at Cerritos more times than I can count. They're fast, affordable, have a ton of options and the food tastes amazing. Even during the pandemic Cerritos opened their doors to sell their 'groceries' and I stocked up on rice, masa and dried beans. I wish they would share their rice and beans recipe...one can dream, lol. I feel like I've tried just about everything on their menu, to include all of their jugos. But, the favorites we keep going back to are the carne asada plate, burritos (chicken or steak - they're huge!), bean and cheese pupusas, fried yuca and chicharrón. I've never tried the soup but literally everyone orders it, so I need to give it a try soon. Our favorite juices are the maracuyá (passion fruit), mora (blackberry), and their ensalada fruita (fruit salad...yes this is a drink, but it comes with a ton of fruit you can eat it as well). The fruit salad has kind of a melon flavor to it, but kids love it! Customer service is always fast and friendly. Only negative: The parking lot sucks, gravel with tons of car-eating potholes, but there's always a line...the food is that good. This is authentic food in a well-used building off Route 50. At lunch it is packed with work trucks and vans which speaks to how good the food is. When I worked construction you knew good food and a good price. Cerritos is priced with the market BUT the food is amazing!! To be honest I was afraid of the tongue but it was recommended by the staff as something authentic to try. I had not had tongue that soft in years since traveling to Central America. The food is so flavorful and oh-so hearty, and the portions are huge! The grilled chicken and shrimp are grilled to perfection and the balance of flavors is just right. You actually do not feel heavy after having gorged on their generous sized portions because the food is clean and fresh. Pair any dish with a refreshing Tamarindo, and you are fueled for the day! Good thing they open at 8 am for those of you who must have a huge and plentiful breakfast for your busy day ahead! Did I mention the electronic juke-box on premises that plays all the Latino hits your heart could desire? This place is authentic and has excellent food! Try the pupusas (bean and cheese is our family's fav), the steak or chicken tacos are excellent, carne asada is unbelievable, and the soups (hen or beef) are an experience.
