You can never really go wrong with with LQ when traveling with pups. This location was no exception, we found it to be clean and comfortable. There is a nice big open area across the street to take and run your dogs. Breakfast was fine, the usual free breakfast spread. There was a big bus of tourists that cleaned out the fruit...like took plenty extra for the road so that was disappointing but not the fault of the property. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by how good our stay was. They have lots of parking. The check in was easy. The king bed room was spacious but could have done with a sofa or two chairs instead of just one chair. The bed was comfortable and warm. The bathroom was spacious and the water was hot. Breakfast was decent - scrambled eggs and sausage for hot options, waffles that you could make, cold cereal, fruits and yogurt. They have tea, coffee, hot chocolate 24*7. The only downside is that their pool and hot tub are outside and face the highway even though there is a fence. The pool is quite small too. It was pretty cold in the evening, so we didn't end up going and instead used the hot shower to warm ourselves up. Overall though, we definitely recommend staying here if you plan to be in Kanab. read more

Nice clean hotel with all the amenities and full breakfast. Our family of 4 stayed for 1 night at La Quinta Inn & Suites, Kanab, UT in Aug 2024. The room was clean, neat, and spacious. Mattresses were average. There were full blackout curtains that kept us in complete dark in the morning. Bathroom was good and clean. Breakfast had full selection of cold and hot items. Check-in/check-out were quick and smooth. There were two issues: Body wash dispenser bottle was empty. It was quite an unpleasant find while taking a shower after long day. Had to get out of the shower to get a soap bar. Also, shower door handle was loose and falling off. I had to tighten its screws to fix it. We also found some leftovers drinks in the fridge. Looks like housekeeping and maintenance attention needs an uplift here. Other than the above we had a good stay and found this hotel to be a good value for the money. read more

I can't understand the Jekyll and Hyde reviews on this place. Folks either love it or hate it. My visit was of the Dr. Jekyll variety. I found the hotel to be quite good and comfortable. My room was exceptionally clean, and though I was on the first floor on a completely booked night, I didn't hear a sound from my neighbors. No, it wasn't the beers that I had prior, and believe me, there were neighbors. A bus load of neighbors. A bus load of teenage neighbors. A tour bus dropped them off, AFTER I had checked in. More on these young tourists later. The lobby is huge and inviting. It's a perfect spot to hang out and discuss the days activities and plans for the next. It too was clean and in order. The staff is very friendly and they look like they enjoy working there. But looks can be deceiving, and I'm easily deceived. So you'll have to judge for yourself. One of the things that this property has going for it is that it's off the main drag. It's tucked away in a quiet part of town. No semi trucks blaring by. Just an occasional tour bus dropping off its manifest of teenagers. Hungry teenagers. Have you ever been driving through the desert and seen a dust devil meandering a course through cactus? If you have, then you know its scattering power. Well, that power paid a visit to the breakfast room in the morning. A whirlwind of teenagers made its way through leaving nary a crumb for late arrivals. Where were their manners? The answer my friend is blowing in the wind. Quick Tip: Keep an eye out for tour buses checking in. If they're teens, then get up early. You may not hear their presence during the night, but the havoc they create in the pantry will leave no doubt that they blew through. Now, if you see a tour bus of elderly folks checking in, GET UP EVEN EARLIER! There's something to that early to bed early to rise, saying. One of the cleanest, modernized, new hotel I've gotten to stay in on my road trip. Price is just right for non peak season. The ratings are very true. Continental breakfast, cold filtered water anytime, hot coffee to go. The sheets are clean, the towels are really pure white and of high quality. Hot shower and good amenities. Great customer service at the front desk. They also have a small little alcove with drinks, ramen and Advil. Located right in the small touristy city of Kanan, people use to come here for the wave lottery, now it's done online within the zone. Still, there are lots of things to see. Zion is just up the road and Bryce is also close. I would totally stay here again :) read more

This is an above average La Quinta Inn. The rooms and lobby and breakfast area were extremely clean and new. Breakfast was lackluster but it's free so not really allowed to complain. High end of the three star hotel class. I'd recommend this location to my friends and I'd stay here again. read more

I was very pleased with this my stay at this particular hotel in Kanab. Everything there looked like it was brand new, as I believe this hotel was recently built not long ago. The place is immaculate and the service was great. They have a free breakfast in the mornings and there is ample free parking. Looks like this hotel just opened recently, everything is new and clean. I love the modern decor! Lots of amenities: pool, fitness and business centers, in room microwave and refrigerator, free WiFi. I also appreciate the water conserving toilet, electrical outlets with USB ports, and charging stations for electric vehicles. However, they seemed to have skimped on insulation during construction. I could hear footsteps above me and a TV next to me. The hotel has 4 floors of about ~90 rooms. It wasn't busy so I'm not sure why they packed us in like Tetris. If you want a good nights rest I would look elsewhere...or bring ear plugs and a noise maker. read more

Great hotel, the rooms are good size for the two of us. The placement of the kitchenette behind the bathroom door is awkward and the mini fridge door should open in the opposite direction. Some tiled (molding) by the fridge are coming out. The bathroom is nice, I love the shower, however, the bottom of the shower gets a bit slippery. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired but it is better than nothing. I love that they are pet friendly, there is even a "dog park" to walk the doggies it even has a fire hydrant, so adorable. read more

I'm half tempted to give them a 1 star but the bed wasn't bad and I slept well. Never stay in room 315!!! I can't speak for the other rooms but if they're half as bad as the third floor...well...I'm speechless. I'd also like to know how this place stays in business but in such a small town at an important junction, people get desperate. There are major foundation issues!!! Our room literally felt like a fun house at a carnival. Completely sloped floors, cracked walls and ceiling, and doors that don't match up. The bathroom door would even shut it is soo un-square. Yes I made that word up. This room is JACKED! I was almost afraid to sleep with a giant "patched" crack above my head. Food was left in the freezer, they made an attempt to upgrade the floor in the bathroom and put in a new toilet, but the pink tile around the tub needs to go. In fact, I was afraid to take a bath in that giant tub for the fear of reenacting a scene from the movie Money Pit. With the floor issues, I was for sure going to fall through the floor. There was a sprinkler handing out of the ceiling. I used a water bottle on the bathroom floor to demonstrate the slope. I'm also pretty sure I saw something that said the pool was open. Trust me it was far from "open." Can't say I'd stay here again. I'm also pretty's sure there were like 6 rooms of Russian Mail-Order Brides, or serious signs of sex trafficking. read more

What a pleasant surprise! We checked in for one night and had a great room. My hubs told the front desk that I had a broken ankle and would it be possible to get a first floor room. The clerk did one better... she gave us an ADA approved room. The room was much bigger (great for me to maneuver in with my scooter), the bathroom was accessible both for toilet usage and it came with a stool to put in the "roll in" shower! It was nice to be accommodated. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. The price was just right. I would recommend La Quinta for those who need the accommodations or are able bodied. read more

Hallway mirror fell on the ground in the middle of the night, woke up the entire family. Glasses scattered everywhere, talked to the front desk that we are unable the leave the room. Was told the only thing to do is to move us to another room. IT IS SIMPLY A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR KIDS AND ANYONE. THEY CLAIMED THEY HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE BY MOVING US TO ANOTHER ROOM. Visited Kanab in November of 2022. Stayed two nights. Downside... The first room dated, the leg on the only chair broken and heater was broken. Keep in mind it's the end of November and (17) degrees on one of the nights. Hair all over the bed sheets looked like they had not been changed. So we complained and where switched to another room. Still hair on sheets but probably in laundering this time. I suggest a lint brush after putting them on so your customers won't feel as though they were never washed. Morning breakfast good except for again hair in the eggs again let them know this time they didn't seem to care. The elevator and rooms smelled old and musty. Upside... Rate for two nights good. Maybe get what you pay for and best of all close to parks. Bed was comfortable. Will not be staying there again. read more

Ok, but not great. I would definitely look elsewhere if traveling with dogs. Although they accept pets, there is absolutely no grass on the entire premises so my dogs had to relieve themselves on gravel. AC in the room would also not go below 68°. We had a missing backpack pack at this location. We called and got the run around from staff members. We asked to speak with a manager at this location and were told he would not be in. We were left no choice but to file a police report because we could not get anyone to help us. With so many options to stay in Kanab, I would not take the chance on this property. I'm glad we didn't travel when the other reviewers did. No traffickers, no cracks in walls, no bed bugs, leveled doors, and a quiet room. The front desk staff were pleasant, the breakfast includes oatmeal, and scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, assorted bread/bagels, and the breakfast area is light and spacious. We also relaxed in a very large jacuzzi, and swam in their pool. We woke up relaxed and ready for a day of hiking in Bryce Canyon. Perhaps the hotel is under new management; perhaps they read the previous reviews; what we know for certain is that our experience here was as pleasant and the staff as friendly as travel and people in our deserts can be. And, the hotel is also environmentally friendly. No styrofoam bowls or cups, and environmentally friendly toilet paper. Overall, a great experience. We'll stay here again. read more

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. It's been years since I've stayed at a LaQuinta. I had low expectations at booking but the hotel chain has really turned around. The entrance and check in was modern, up to date and pleasant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was in a bag due to Covid but nice. Really liked the coffee bar, it had a lot of condiments and coffee was fresh and hot. I'll be giving LaQuinta a look more often thanks to this hotel in Kanab. Great location. 45 minutes from Zion and 1 hour 10 minutes from Bryce Canyon. Located in Kanab, small town,but big enough to have a few choices of restaurants important after a day hiking or walking. Pizza Hut next door, but I would not recommend this Pizza Hut. Good Covid protocol. Clear barrier at front desk. Sanitizer and Lysol wipes available at the lobby. Credit card machine available for you to swipe it. Suggestion, get a container for clean and used pens. Also more enforcement of mask. Some guests not following. Hotel seems to be a newer location. Ambiance is bright with a modern look. Plenty of parking nice ample lobby. Check in was really good. Front desk lady was pleasant and fast. Good greeting, good review of amenities and breakfast with Covid situation. Room is a good size room nothing extraordinary, but good and comfortable. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had, don't believe any positive reviews they are lies! The only one telling the truth is the one who posted the pictures of it's faulty design. At first this hotel looks new and nice, with beautiful decor. But then once you enter the room, it's a whole other story. Cracks, drywall patches, dirt, and weird smell... stains all over the bedding, ewwww! See our pictures for yourself! Beds unmade upon arrival, hair on them! Front desk staff is weird and rude, no help at all. Noisy as heck, banging starting at 6am! We came for the night to see the Grand Canyon and I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Totally recommend anyone looking for a spot close by to all the hotspots to book here. First off, the staff is so incredibly nice. My partner and I checked into our room and were really surprised to see just how clean it is. The towels were clean and neatly stacked. Hair care amenities were provided (Pantene?!), even a few packaged makeup wipes. To top it all off, the bathroom and the sheets smelled freshly like bleach, which is how you KNOW this hotel takes their cleaning seriously, especially during such weird times like this. As others have mentioned, the walls seem kind of thin but the cleanliness, the modern aesthetic, and excellent customer service make this the perfect spot for resting after all your adventures! We got executive suite on 3rd floor. Two queen beds, everything inside was brand new and renovated and superb clean. View from our window was pleasant as well. The staff was friendly. For breakfasts my wife made me waffles, they had sausages and scrambled eggs too. Thanks to complete breakfast we didn't have to spend money in town. I race a car in Arizona. One of the closest motels to the track is LaQuinta. They are not usually the nicest places to stay but the price is right. Now, let's talk Kanab, Utah. This place is new with amenities like a 5-star hotel. It has a good selection for breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. I could find nothing wrong. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in years. We were on our way to the Payson area in Utah for Thanksgiving. We stayed here in late March because friends were staying here. Family of 4 sharing a large room. We loved the space and the modern decor of the rooms. The negatives unfortunately outweigh the positives. Breakfast is a small bag with an orange, small bagel, unrefridgerated yogurt (cold if you got up early , not so at 830). Coffee cup lids didn't fit the cups,, causing people to spill hot coffee down themselves. I know we are in Covid times but other hotels in town have figured out breakfast, so maybe that will change. The hotel mask policy was not enforced. Why have a policy if you are not going to enforce it. People above us were jumping up and down from 6 to 10 pm. After calling the front desk there was no change. Very frustrating trying to get kids to sleep. The shining light was an abundance of luggage carts to move luggage to the room. All in all I would rather stay at the Holiday Inn Express up the street, but this place will do in a pinch. read more

Good location and reasonable price, but parking nearly filled up (rodeo in town). Room was clean and modern. Unfortunately, ours was located right near the outside door. We could hear the door slamming throughout the night and early morning as the hotel was pretty booked full. Though the bed was comfy, this constant noise made sleeping very difficult. Great hotel to stay when traveling between Zion and the canyons. My friend and I had *unsuccessfully* attempted glamping and booked a room here last minute. We snagged a great price online and the room was definitely worth it. The rooms were very clean and beds are super comfy. There's a great French restaurant across the street and few blocks down, so pretty ideal location. The guy who works up front was friendly and nice. So much so that after we checked in he ran upstairs to ask if we had called about the phone in our rooms not working. I'm confused how we would have called if the phone wasn't working, but nonetheless appreciated his concern! read more
