I was very pleased with this my stay at this particular hotel in Kanab. Everything there looked like it was brand new, as I believe this hotel was recently built not long ago. The place is immaculate and the service was great. They have a free breakfast in the mornings and there is ample free parking. If you will be staying overnight in Kanab, this is probably the nicest place in town.

Looks like this hotel just opened recently, everything is new and clean. I love the modern decor! Lots of amenities: pool, fitness and business centers, in room microwave and refrigerator, free WiFi. I also appreciate the water conserving toilet, electrical outlets with USB ports, and charging stations for electric vehicles. However, they seemed to have skimped on insulation during construction. I could hear footsteps above me and a TV next to me. The hotel has 4 floors of about ~90 rooms. It wasn't busy so I'm not sure why they packed us in like Tetris. If you want a good nights rest I would look elsewhere...or bring ear plugs and a noise maker.

Great hotel, the rooms are good size for the two of us. The placement of the kitchenette behind the bathroom door is awkward and the mini fridge door should open in the opposite direction. Some tiled (molding) by the fridge are coming out. The bathroom is nice, I love the shower, however, the bottom of the shower gets a bit slippery. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired but it is better than nothing. I love that they are pet friendly, there is even a "dog park" to walk the doggies it even has a fire hydrant, so adorable.

Room is so crooked even the candle is leaning

I'm half tempted to give them a 1 star but the bed wasn't bad and I slept well. Never stay in room 315!!! I can't speak for the other rooms but if they're half as bad as the third floor...well...I'm speechless. I'd also like to know how this place stays in business but in such a small town at an important junction, people get desperate. There are major foundation issues!!! Our room literally felt like a fun house at a carnival. Completely sloped floors, cracked walls and ceiling, and doors that don't match up. The bathroom door would even shut it is soo un-square. Yes I made that word up. This room is JACKED! I was almost afraid to sleep with a giant "patched" crack above my head. Food was left in the freezer, they made an attempt to upgrade the floor in the bathroom and put in a new toilet, but the pink tile around the tub needs to go. In fact, I was afraid to take a bath in that giant tub for the fear of reenacting a scene from the movie Money Pit. With the floor issues, I was for sure going to fall through the floor. There was a sprinkler handing out of the ceiling. I used a water bottle on the bathroom floor to demonstrate the slope. I'm also pretty sure I saw something that said the pool was open. Trust me it was far from "open." Can't say I'd stay here again. I'm also pretty's sure there were like 6 rooms of Russian Mail-Order Brides, or serious signs of sex trafficking.

Mirror fell and glasses scattered everywhere

Hallway mirror fell on the ground in the middle of the night, woke up the entire family. Glasses scattered everywhere, talked to the front desk that we are unable the leave the room. Was told the only thing to do is to move us to another room. IT IS SIMPLY A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR KIDS AND ANYONE. THEY CLAIMED THEY HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE BY MOVING US TO ANOTHER ROOM. Highly not recommended due to unsafe environment and not handling the situation appropriately.

Pretty standard hotel stay. The room was consistent with any other comparable chain. Staff checked me in and out quickly and painlessly. The eggs, bacon, coffee in the morning were sufficient.

Reasonably priced newer hotel that's pet friendly. Free farmer brothers coffee wasn't bad. I'd stay here again.

Best Friends Roadhouse - The dog bed was a nice touch my dogs weren't a fan of the dog beds, probably too many smells.

This review is based on my two-night stay from 10/17/25 - 10/19/25…read more I had heard great things about this place so was really looking forward to checking it out. I was also hoping to "rent" a pet from the Animal Sanctuary for the duration of our visit, but alas, checked in too late for that. I'd advise anyone who wants to "rent" a pet to call in advance to understand the process and time cut-off. I loved the room. It was super cute and well-appointed for guests with pets. There were two bowls waiting near the front door, and two adorable sleeping areas - one in a cut-out in the wall, and another a pull-out trundle-style bed. The mercantile/ store was stocked with cute apparel for pet-lovers as well as items for pets. Breakfast was also served in the store in the morning - with lots of interesting and yummy options - like vegan egg bites and chia seed pudding. 10/10 recommend this place!!

The Best Place For Travelers With Or Without Pets…read more.... For our final 5 nights across the Southwest US, we stayed at the Best Friends Roadhouse. The BF Animal Sanctuary was on our schedule (at least 2 of the 4 days) and both reviews and their website looked great. Pros: - Location: Convenient, especially is you're visiting the Sanctuary. On the main road in the north part of Kanab. - Exterior: A newish looking hotel with nice views to the north and west. - Room: Excellent. Our king suite was spacious. One VERY large room included a big bedroom, a good sized kitchen and a spacious bathroom/shower/vanity. It also had plenty of space for storage and large closets. All done with contemporary Scandinavian furniture which minimizes clutter and convenient controls for lighting, ventilation and automatic shades. - Employees: Helpful. People at the reception desk and in the breakfast area/"Mercantile Shop" were all very friendly. - Breakfast: Vegan and very good. Included with the room. While it wasn't a buffet, you could order as much as you'd like. Much of it was homemade and I especially liked the "Overnight Oats". Unusual Pros: - Cats and dogs are encouraged to stay with accommodations in the room and across the property - "Barn Door" to create privacy between the bedroom and bathroom - Free laundry - Free iPad to use while in the room - Nicely equipped kitchen - Plentiful towels - Choice of full daily housekeeping, partial or none - Attractive high desert landscaping - If you'd like merchandise from Best Friends, the Mercantile Shop had everything Cons: - Bath towels for our first day were luxurious. The next 4 days were like a Holiday Inn. - Toilet paper was 1...maybe 2 ply and quite scratchy - Tissues were a bit rough - Parking was tight, especially on weekends and after 7 PM There are many places to stay in Kanab since it's a busy stop for Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, but the Roadhouse would be our only choice.

We drove 4 hours from Las Vegas and booked through Super.com. I'm a Choice Hotels member and was hesitant about Choice properties to begin with -- I usually stick to IHG, Hilton or Marriott -- but a great experience at the Comfort Suites Moab a year ago gave me confidence. The 4.5 stars on Yelp sealed the deal. Big mistake. The phone call before arrival -- called to notify them of a late arrival and the front desk lady answered with a flat "Hello," never pulled up my reservation, couldn't add my Choice Rewards number since I booked third party which is fine, but when I was done with my questions she said "bye" and hung up cold. I work in hospitality. That's not okay. Check in -- the overnight guy in a fedora was genuinely great. Friendly, fast, no complaints. Wish the rest of the staff had his energy at check in. The room -- rock hard queen beds, square couch-style pillows with zero support swimming inside oversized pillowcases, and a pull out sofa mattress with serious visible wear. All four of us on the queen beds woke up with back and neck aches and had to make a grocery run for pain meds before we could function. Breakfast -- both mornings were identical. Cold eggs, rubbery sausage patties, broken juice machine on day two. The make your own waffle station was the only thing worth touching. This is what your $5/night resort fee gets you. The afternoon front desk lady -- sat behind the desk on her personal phone both times we walked through without a single acknowledgment. Asked to switch rooms due to the beds -- flat "No," sold out, zero apology. Later came back from a bike ride with a potentially broken arm and asked where the nearest hospital was -- she pointed without looking up and went back to her phone. My friends had to connect to the hotel WiFi just to pull up directions since T-Mobile is spotty in Kanab. Ended up with a broken forearm and wrist. Now in a cast and sling. I don't expect a front desk employee to be a first responder but basic human decency isn't too much to ask. The A/C -- stopped working at 2am. Called the front desk and the overnight guy answered in silence with his phone playing in the background. After I said hello he responded with attitude. Told him the A/C was out in room 105 and he literally asked me "what should I do?" Requested a room switch, he said sold out and hung up. Five guys trying to sleep in a heatwave with no air conditioning. Pool area -- advertised as open year round and heated. Pool was covered. Spa was open but the gate to the entire area had no lock -- anyone could walk right in. Real safety concern for families with kids. At $146.24 for two nights the price seemed reasonable on paper. In reality this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The area is 5 stars -- this property is not. Stay elsewhere.
