Usual reliable La Quinta which we always stay at due to them being dog friendly. $25 dollar pet fee. Wyndham online said as a Rewards member we would be charged $20 but they charged us $25. Not sure why. I did tell the desk clerk we were members. Needed a towel bar near the sink but had to make do without. They didn't stock the tissue dispenser or maybe they quit doing that. Not sure if the spot in the shower is black mold or just dirt The bathroom is tight. See picture. read more

Stayed in several LaQuinta's as we travel across the country, and this one has been the nicest so far. Everything was clean and worked as expected. Traveling with our little dogs makes LaQuinta's one of our first choices,. I don't agree with the extra charges for pets and then being given the "rules" about not leaving them alone n the room. read more

I was very pleased with our stay, minus some cleanliness issues. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciate the minifridge in the room. The breakfast wasn't super diverse, but everything tasted good and I can't complain about free breakfast! I also liked that they had a soda machine instead of just juice, milk, and coffee. The only thing I will note is that the elevators and our shower was not totally clean. Seeing any kind of black in the caulking of a shower immediately turns me off from a hotel, and there was a line of black along the entire bottom of the shower. read more

Comfortable and Clean! We had hoped to get here earlier so we could explore the area but travel plans changed....Area seems safe and with plenty of food options around. We arrived really late so we did not try anything. Hotel itself is very clean all around. The lobby is well lit and decorated nicely. They do sell a small amount of beverages and food items to bring to your room. We did miss the complimentary breakfast the next morning as we overslept. The room itself is very clean, comfortable, and comes with a microwave and refrigerator. Those two items are huge for travelers especially those with kids like me. The bathroom is standard but was spotless. Although I did not have time to take my son to the pool because of our schedule it is open late (11pm) and opens early (5am). If I am ever in Kearney again I will stay here. read more

Out of the 3 laquinta's I've stayed in over the last month, this location was by far the best. Clean room, clean bathroom, was surprised by the added microwave and mini fridge, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and friendly staff. The beds! So comfortable!! I didn't want to get out of bed because of how comfortable they were, so we missed breakfast (just driving through town), but they still had the coffee out which was really good! My husband enjoyed the pool and hot tub before we left. I definitely want to remember this place since we road trip between CA (where we currently live) and Wisconsin (our home state) a lot and I want this level of comfort and cleanliness again! I don't usually make plans to stop at the same hotel, but this one is on my list! Hallways smell clean, the rooms are very clean, a lot of the space is upgraded, nice smooth marble countertops, the showers are pretty basic, but good pressure and the white tile walls are an upgrade from your standard basic hotel shower. The gym looked really nice, but we didn't have time to use it. The only downsides are (1) that breakfast ends kind of early at 9, so it can be easy to miss if you arrive as late as we did and can't separate yourself from the extreme comfort of these beds and (2) the pool is pretty heavily chlorinated and a bit cloudy. Great to have the option at such a reasonable price though! read more

We booked this hotel during our cross country road trip. Online the pictures and reviews were so good that we decided to book. As soon as we got to the parking lot we noticed a lot of construction on the side of the building. As soon as we entered we spelt mildew. I have severe allergies to mold and mildew and it is awful. The smell carries through the hallways and into the room. They are renovating an old building and maybe it will be nice one day. The pool area was the worst. The chemical burned my eyes and throat. They didn't use the pool due to clumps of hair.I didn't bring a bathing suit and was just going to watch my grandson. I had to leave and use my inhaler as soon as I got back to the room. Stayed here while on our cross country trip. It's an updated La Quinta right off the highway. The room was clean and quiet. It's in close proximity to several restaurants. The beds were slightly uncomfortable and lumpy. But, I prefer cleanliness over perfect mattresses. The breakfast was the standard hotel continental breakfast. Sorry to say, but this was not a good hotel stay for us. We rolled into Kearney after a very long day on the road. All we wanted to do was crash and catch some sleep. We had less than 6 hours before we had to hit the road again. When I checked in, the guy at the desk said there was one first-floor king size room left and a few on higher floors. He then inquired about whether I had a preference. I told him no, as long as it had a king size bed. He gave me the first floor room. Fine. When we arrived at the room, we found that the room was a handicap accessible room. I know hotels have to have these for obvious reasons, but it seemed weird that he would give us this room if there were others available. The shower of course was designed so you could wheel a wheelchair in if needed, and I had trouble managing with this special arrangement. There was also a large plastic bench/seat in the shower. Again, I certainly understand why it was there but we did not need it. It was impossible to do anything with it that didn't put it in a place where it was in the way. It was highly inconvenient. We were annoyed by the front desk clerk's decision to give us this room rather than a non-handicap-accessible room if one was available, but we were so tired that we decided just to go to bed. At that point we had something like five and a half hours left before we had to be back on the road. We went to bed and were woken at roughly 3:30 in the morning by a horrible screeching mechanical noise. We soon discovered that this was because our room was right next to the giant electrical closet for the elevators. The noise was horrible. My husband went down to the front desk at 3:30 to complain. Needless to say, we checked out early the next morning having gotten terrible sleep and extremely grumpy. To La Quinta's credit, they did credit us back for our stay after we complained to the manager. But honestly, I cannot comment on anything else regarding this hotel because all I saw was the front desk and our room, and I was sleep-deprived when I did it. read more

I stayed here while driving through Nebraska. It's a really nice hotel, easy check-in and they offer member rate which is awesome! We enjoy the jacuzzi, pool and the modern and clean room, also plenty of parking. Check-out day I left after breakfast and it was really good! This place definitely stands out among others. The room was sheek and sexy. The design and patterns of the room were contemporary and I haven't seen that in hotels yet. The lady at the counter was nice. Another thing that stuck out was the workout room. Nice cardio equipment, but the more impressive thing was that there were real weights. Most places give you an old treadmill and some stretch bands. They sent me a card to thank me for my stay. read more

We were disappointed that no one was wearing a mask. Gratefully, the many of the more educated travelers wore theirs. The beds were very comfortable and they have a good dog policy. We happened to sleep in a side of the hotel that was very loud. There was a motorcycle-like motor that would rev every so often throughout the night (or maybe it was just that). Really excellent experience here last night. Hotel is on the newer fresher side. The room was spotless clean! The bed was super comfortable. Oh my goodness, wasn't expecting such a nice place but it was great! Nicer than a couple Marriotts I've stayed at! Very new facilities & great modern rooms & bathrooms. The bathroom even had a fart fan!! First fart fan I've had in a hotel room in forever and I've stayed in plenty to the point I got excited to have one! Best part of course is that La Quinta is pup-friendly by policy so we had no problems. The only reason why this location is losing 1 star: breakfast is from 6am-10am. I got there at 9:54 am to make an English Muffin, grab a bowl of cereal & a cup of coffee (nothing major, no waffles!) So I got to toasting the English muffin at like 9:57 but it needed 2 rounds because it wasn't toasty enough for me. And the staff are mad dogging anyone in the food area at this point. So while I'm waiting for the toaster I take my bowl of cereal to my table and at that moment (with English muffin still in toaster) the staff close the door & locked me out! It was 10:01!!! And they knew I hadn't grabbed my muffin because they were staring everyone down. So lame. But otherwise it's was a perfect stay & great facilities. read more

This is my first experience staying at a La Quinta hotel. I can say this one has set the bar high! The guest reception was great. Chase was courteous, informative, and friendly! The hotel itself is spotless! Everything is new and very well kept, I certainly hope they keep it that way. I travel with my dogs and they could not have been more accommodating! I love that they don't tack on a bunch of fees for the dogs. The pool and spa was also wonderful! Again very clean and there were plenty of towels. While I was in there, the staff came in and replenished the towels on each chair. I thought I was at a resort. This La Quinta got my attention and from here out I will search for more like this one. read more

I know its a little thing but the sheets on the bed were so crisp and smelled of fresh laundry...it's the little things. Also, the lobby and breakfast area were clean and well-appointed. Finally, we had two cats and they let us park right at the front door for about 10 minutes while we unloaded them and all their gear. It was raining and this little extra touch made a big difference. Quality for a queen and comfort fur all at this La Quinta ( including furry friends!)! It was very clean, fresh, and new. Built in March 2016, one could tell it's modern and well kept. Friendly front desk staff were helpful, quick, and offered us some snacks as a thank you for staying there. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom also had these characteristics. The towels were not flimsy or cheap feeling, and the toiletries were pleasant. They provided a disposable facial wipe/ makeup remover. Breakfast was good. I had scrambled eggs on an English muffin, with an apple and my husband enjoyed his cereal selection as well as the cinnamon raisin bagel. Plenty of other breakfast options, as well as a variety of beverages. The gym was also good. Clean with some cardio options as well as free weights/ medicine balls, and mats and a weightlifting bench. Overall this place is great. Well priced, convenient, CLEAN! Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. read more

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It started with friendly staff in a renovated and modern styled hotel. There are free games in the lobby, as well as free computers and printers for your use. There is a 24 work out facility. They also offer a tasty breakfast and free happy hour with snacks, beer and wine. The hotel is always pet friendly and the dog walking area is super clean. The bedroom was a suite with two queen beds, a sleeper sofa, microwave and refrigerator. I wish all hotels could be this clean and comfortable read more

It's been recently renovated, so I got a bit spoiled by that: rooms are beautiful, and very clean. The staff here was accommodating and friendly as well! Highly recommend. Had car troubles on a cross country trip late at night with two dogs. Nate was super helpful and got us a room right away near a side entrance to let the dogs out. My mother passed away in February, 2020 and our family stayed in the La Quinta while attending to estate business. Covid hits and 3 months later our son was contacted via Facebook by the hotel using a remnant of the funeral program found in the room after we discharged to let us know a gold ring had been found following our family's stay. The effort this group of employees took to return my mother's class ring to me is amazing. How many other hotels would demonstrate this level of integrity and caring, I doubt many. I highly recommend this hotel and deeply appreciate the effort they made to return my deceased mother's class ring. Thank you for this gift and for representing your hotel so well. read more

Hands down the best La Quinta, and top three hotels, I have ever been to. The staff is super friendly, caring, and attentive. The rooms are modern, quiet (which is hard to do these days), spacious, and very clean. Breakfast was amazing with the traditional LQ waffles but they classed it up with eggs, sausage, some of the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had (especially when I have paid for worse), cereal, breads, and more (it was always fully stocked too). The front desk greeted us with fresh cookies and a managers bar with free beer and wine. Basically we think we found a reason to come back to Kearney, Nebraska. If LQ uses this as a model for where they are taking the chain I applaud everything for bringing hotel life back to a luxury and not just an overpriced room. read more

We came to Kearney to see the infamous sandhill crane migration. I had made an online reservation with another hotel in town and when we got there it wasn't even close to up to par. So we drove across the street where the majority of newer hotels are and there it was, a new and lovely looking La Quinta. We've stayed in many a La Quinta, but when we walked into this one we were blown away. Brand new, beautiful on the inside and costs less than comparative hotels on the block. The rooms are nice, clean and we'll decorated. Beds are very comfortable. Did I say clean??? Lovely little pool and hot tub area. Morning breakfast was great. Staff was very kind and made sure we were happy at all times. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

This is the 2nd time we used this hotel to meet family from far away. It was a good halfway location for us all. The hot tub is really nice and warm. They have a wonderful seating area with tables that we were able to use to make graduation invitations and decorations while together. It was a real treat to be able to work together in that area rather than sitting on our beds up in the room. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. What a refreshing and needed surprise to discover this jewel in Kearney, Nebraska. I was told the hotel opened in 2016 and it shows. It offers a delightful and colorful design of chartreuse and silver walls, bright colored and clean carpet, and tasteful, fun art. The room was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable with granite countertops, refrigerator, and a foam mattress which is incredible for a tired body. And the staff are very helpful, too, eager to assist and answer questions. Highly recommend this hotel! read more
