We've stayed here before and the spots are generous, well groomed, easy in easy out. A nice dog park, playground and nice pond. There's a very clean Rest room and laundry area. Just about everything a camper needs. And not far from the town itself. It's definitely a family affair as his son has a cash 'candy bar' for those with a sweet tooth! And I recommend every camper to invest in a sweet! We travel East every year to the Midwest and whenever possible, stay here! read more

this campground is right around the corner from the Kearney archway. The archway is a very interesting museum about the California Oregon Trail! Very well done! We pulled into the campground without any reservation, the girl at the front desk was extremely nice! She explained where everything was, gave us a map, and put us right in front of the beach! Every site has a concrete pad, which is super easy to level your RV, waterl, sewer, and electric! We also received a good same discount. The price was amazing. Very affordable. The showers, restroom and laundry facilities are all in one location. Everything is very clean. The place is very quiet. If you bring your bikes, there are miles of bicycle trails around the camp ground, and the archway which is all connected by bike or road. I would highly recommend. read more

Stayed on maiden casita voyage with my dog and cat. Cat didn't return for breakfast so decided to leave and come back in an hour. On way out, explained situation to landscaper and stopped at office to also explain. They were closed so I left my card in door. Returned after an hour to cruise perimeter of park and call for cat. Owner aggressively approached me and asked my business. Ok, it struck me wrong. Admitting that. I explained that my cat was missing, I had tried to let them know and that I'd probably need to stay another night. Owner realized and exploited my vulnerability. Told me I couldn't re-rent and ordered me off his property. I'm sitting outside park hoping cat returns before he finds her. No kidding. Complete retribution and lack of empathy, just like his president. read more

This is a very nice RV Park right off Interstate 80 with spacious sites. The sites are pretty much leveled concrete pads. The showers and restrooms were clean. There's a laundry room and a dog park. Beautiful view of a lake in which you can swim. There's a few spots for tent camping. read more

We were having battery problems and needed to stop and recharge our batteries. Said we'd pay even extra. The gentleman who talked to us refused to help and said they were closed. Very unhelpful except to tell us to leave, they were closed. Looked like a nice open park with lots of open spaces. Not recommended due to this very unfriendly and unhelpful manager. read more

Do not stay here long term. The woman that runs the park not only accused me of letting my dog run amok (I didn't own a dog) but also got upset that I used the short stay showers after I moved to the long term lot. The long term showers were closed due to COVID. I needed propane but she was reluctant to fill because it was after dark. If you stay a few nights, it's pretty good. But be assured, if you stay long term, she will find a way to make your stay miserable. read more

Beautiful spot, with two beaches and an extra lot overlooking the water and a cornfield. The road noise in the north lot was barely discernable; the birds and little critters chatted all day. We made reservations at this campground back in March, even had a confirmation number. When we arrived the office person told us that our reservation was for March. I explained that we made the reservation in March, but the reservation was for August 5. Then she claimed that our reservation was for August 3. Since we did not receive a email confirmation, we could not see that she had made that mistake. When I asked if there were any available spots, she began yelling at me, claimed that I had gotten "snippy" with her, she never makes mistakes. When we walked out of the office, she was still yelling at us. She was a special kind of crazy. Would never recommend this campground. read more

Great stop for one night! Clean campground with pull-through sites and concrete pads. Conveniently located right off I-80, but surprisingly quiet. Not many trees so it can be hot, but there's a small fishing lake and "beach". Clean bathrooms. The owner is very nice. Reasonable rates. This was our stopover spot to and from RMNP from MN. read more

The owner must not like classic cars. We T parked our car because there was a huge rain puddle behind our camping spot. We knew that the owner was using a pump to pump out the water. We were patiently waiting for it to be done. He was upset because the back tire was touching the grass by 1/2 inch. He and my husband got in a little argument and he called the cops. We left and were told by the cops to stop at the office to get our refund. When I went to the office the the owner opened the door and we discussed the refund. He was very agitated and told me to get off the property. I asked how I was supposed to get my refund like he said I could have for the unused days. The wife screamed at me like a crazy person and the owner slammed the door in my face. I did get the refund. I would not recommend this place due to the unstable nature of the owners. read more

There's some grumpy customer who reviewed this place awhile back, and his review is giving this place a bad rap. I have to say that anyone who is planning to come here needs to ignore that review!! Here's the actual honest, unbiased truth about Kearney RV Park: for a place that's conveniently off of I-80 as you travel, it's a great place to stop! The campsites are close, but not so close that you can't have some privacy. And honestly, it's not like people are living here. Most trailers stop for one night and head out the next. All of the sites have a paved concrete pad that makes for super easy set up of your camper upon arrival. It was hot as hell when we were there, so the best part was the beach (there are actually two beaches) that was literally 10 steps from the camper. Usually the bath house would be open (and always clean) but covid kept them closed this trip. This place is clean and quiet. Would recommend if you are traveling thru Nebraska. I will def be back. Nice people at check in. Sites have no trees. Worst part is all the dog walk area is full of nettles. My poor dog got covered as did I before we realized that was the case. Had to carry her to only grassy area that was by the office. Sites are plain slab, utilities are good and internet was fast. No cable. Basically this is,a good Rv campground for a short stay. We are on the road and just needed a one night stay. This place worked well...easy pull through for our big rig. My biggest issue is the price. After paying between 40-50 dollars a night in Colorado for sites with cable and heated pools, this is about 10 per night too high. read more

A nice RV park, wide open spaces and friendly owners. There are actually to sections of the park. One has cement paved sites and the other gravel sites. We enjoyed our 1 night stop here. Easy access to I-80 east or west. They have improved the pet walking area since Richard's review of 9-2-13. Looks like the intend to install a leash free pet run also. While rving, we had one overnite here. Courteous reception from the front office. Clean maintained grounds. Paved pads for the RV. Space between RVs were adequate;during our stay the campground was not full. It had water and electric hook-ups. Wifi connection quality varies among RV sites. Areas to take doggies out was fine. Guest showers were clean though a little dated in decor. If you are looking to eat out, we did not notice any eating establishments nearby. There is a reputable RV repair shop close by if needed. We paid $46/nite. The higher price probably reflects the lack of many RV parks in the area. read more

We stopped here for the night while passing through on I-80. It was perfect for the night. right off the highway cost in December was 40$ plus taxes. Water and electricity included. Only complaint is for the price usually cable is included. Nice clean park, we will stay again when passing through for sure! read more

We stopped here unexpectedly due to some mechanical issues with our truck and we couldn't have planned it better if we tried! Staying at such a nice spot definitely took the sting out of the change in plans and bill from the mechanic. :) The staff is super helpful and friendly. The park is clean and features a playground and small lake and beach with private fishing. Great spot for kids & families, although I was surprised there were not more children. Lots of older people with pets. Very close to I-80. Concrete pads with good hook ups for RV's. read more

This is a very nice campground. We only stayed one night. We stayed in the Getaway Bay section. The site was clean and level and on a concrete pad. We had a 50-amp pull-through with full hook-ups. There were no trees, hence no shade, but if you have a dish you'd love it. The only complaint we had was that the electric connection is so far away. It was near our front wheel. The water and sewer were close to the bays, but we had to extend our electric wire out almost to the end of it. We would stay here again if in the area. read more

Run away!! Stayed here last summer, and it was the worst RV park we have ever used. This is literally a gravel patch in the middle of a corn field. Kids couldn't even play outside because of the dog poop everywhere (wild dogs?). Dead snake in the driveway. The so called "tent area" was a bumpy, dirty patch of weeds alongside rusty farm implements. No fire pits. No swings or playground. Nothing. RV sites are tiny and expensive. read more

This place has potential but right now it's just good for an overnight stop. We stayed in the north part of the park because it was further from the interstate so we'd have some quiet to sleep. Plus it's less expensive in the north park and we were only staying one night. The south part of the park is right off the interstate and the sites appear to be pretty level. All the trees are newly planted because, I think, the whole area was either an empty piece of land or a cornfield at one point. The north park butts right up to a huge cornfield and a farm beyond that. Our site was kind of rutted and had a hard time leveling our trailer. There is a newly planted tree and some crab grassy grass for each site. There was a building that had public toilets and 2 showers which we didn't use. My husband looked inside and said they looked ok but small. The wi-fi is non-existent there. Whether it's better in the south part of the park or not, I don't know. But we basically had none. No cable so we got a handful of local channels with our antennae. If you stay in that part of the rv park, be prepared to smell the farm. If the wind is just right, you can smell the manure/urine smells of the farm. Also, the north part of the park seems to have some long term residents staying there. If you have Good Sam you will get the discount. But for now, there just isn't much there. Maybe it's a work in progress. read more
