Newer Wyndham Property in the West Memphis Area. This newer La Quinta is located just off the highway from Memphis, TN, in West Memphis. The hotel is nestled a block of other similar brands of hotels. I booked a hotel through the Wyndham app and got a great deal on it. The hotel was bright and clean when I arrived, and the front desk gave me a room in the area that I requested. My room was a large, accessible king room as the hotel was almost at capacity. The room was large and fairly clean, and the bathroom was spotless. There were many outlets and charging ports available for my phones and devices, and the wifi had a clean, fast signal and was easy to connect to. The hotel has everything you need for one or more nights. It has a fitness center with new equipment, a pool (which was out of order at the time of my stay), guest laundry and a full breakfast with hot and cold choices. Restaurants, coffee, fast food and gas can all be found within minutes of the hotel, and there are more places to eat in West Memphis close to the hotel. Overall, I had a good stay with no issues, and I most certainly will stay at this hotel again. I had a King room on the first floor near the side exit of the building, and it was quiet that night. read more

The filthiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The sink had dried brown splatter on the inside, there was hair all over the shower walls, the toilet bowl rim had urine on it, the tile floor was oily, the light switches had brown buildup, and there was dust everywhere like no one had wiped anything down in months. I used my own Clorox wipes to clean up and they were completely brown after wiping down this supposedly clean room. I also don't expect much from a free breakfast and coffee, but it wasn't even edible. The room was not nearly cheap enough for it to be this gross. read more

We were traveling from Alabama to Fort Collins, CO and stopped here on the way so my spouse could see a client. The hotel has a very nice large lobby and breakfast eating area. Our room was great. Very clean. There was lots of green space around the hotel to walk the dog and we saw many dogs outside. The hotel asks to not come through the lobby with a dog during the breakfast times which is absolutely reasonable We would stay here again. read more

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The building was clean and had a fresh, pleasant scent throughout. Our room was spotless, clearly dusted and well maintained. The breakfast bar was well stocked and attended to, and the food was actually pretty good, my only complaint was the weak coffee, but it did the trick. Highly recommend it. Pro tip for your stay: Do not eat next door at the Cracker Barrel. Trust me on that. read more

Great place to stay if in West Memphis! Easy to find if going East, very clean and nice. A very impressive lobby entrance! The little kid in my loved the water feature and turtle sculptures! I so wanted to play in the water! Inside it was spacious and luxurious (for a short stay motel/hotel). The décor was inviting and comforting after a long 10 hour drive. The bed wasn't bad. The linen and towels were clean and fresh! There kids running up and down the hallways took some of the peacefulness away until I was asleep. All was clean and well maintained! The only negative was the rather "standard COVID era breakfast" which got us on the road early to find something better. read more

Aside from excellent check in service by Allyson, this visit was a huge disappointment. For a 2 year old hotel, it's already breaking down. Shades in our windows were off track, allowing light to pass and decorative covers on the bath appliances were hanging loose. A shower that was so slippery, it's begging for an accident. TV? Never could get it to work. Yes, I followed instructions and pressed the TV input on the remote as instructed. Finally, we were told hot breakfast was back. Sure, if you consider a biscuit & gravy a good way to start your day. No eggs, no waffles, not even oatmeal. But if you want carbs, you've found nirvana. I settled for a hard boiled egg and a bowl of Cheerios. And for good measure, the crew hovered over me so the moment I left the room, they closed at 9 sharp. I grabbed 2 Coffees and when I returned for 2% milk they had already locked up. There were several hotel/motels in the area. This LaQuinta ran $40 more than several in the area. The reason why I set all one stars so somebody can feel this the same way I felt being woken up 5 times before my checkout time. They entered my room!!! Cleaners from 9am to all the way up to 11:00. After being approved for a 11:30 checkout. No good. Don't know why they kept coming into my room but that's a BIG BIG safety NO for me. I let the people know at the front desk and all I get are shoulder shrugs. This is an emergency only stay hotel. read more

Do not book here if you need a good night's rest. I don't understand all the amazing reviews. Is it new? Yes. Are the staff nice? Yes. But this location is a stain on La Quinta's reputation, just like the stain on the sheets and mattress and couch and pillows and the headboard. It's never a good sign when you need to start your stay with cleaning off white splatter stain (jizz?!?) off the headboard! Do they even clean this place? It was dirty. Not obviously dirty but once you settled, you noticed the pet hair, human hair, dog piss in the corner, dust everywhere. There is ZERO soundproofing. We could hear the neighbour opening their drawers. The hotel being pet friendly and every other guest staying with dogs, you can only imagine what goes up at night at the slightest noise. One dog starts and the others follow. It's noisy. You will not sleep, not even with earplugs. We did ask if this is standard in all rooms - she had no idea. We asked for another room - there was none available. So we sucked it up, managed to get 3-4 hours of disturbed sleep and took off at the crack off dawn, waved off by the local crackhead. read more

This hotel has served us well in our bi-annual trips to & from Texas & Michigan. This hotel has pleasant employees & it's been pretty darned clean 99% of the times that we've visited. Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5. The only small thing is that the rooms are not super clean on the floors & tables. The main thing for me is that the bed is clean. The beds have been clean & tidy 100%. The morning breakfast is nice because so many places have stopped that feature. To us, it's one of the perks for staying at this hotel. The pool looks very nice, although we've not used it yet. I do wish to tell you that this past month when we stayed at this hotel, the family above us was very loud ! I waited until 3:00 am & finally we called the front desk. Within minutes, the noise had stopped! I wish we'd have called sooner! They took care of the problem very quickly & I have confidence that they care & will take care of any issues. read more

This hotel was OK, but just OK. The room was "austere." It had no real style or interesting decorating touches, but it was clean. The bathroom was nice, good water pressure and hot water. No tub. One star deduction. Very good mattress. The desk clerk who checked me in was "distant," and never smiled. I felt like I was an inconvenience for her. Not cool! The thing that was baffling, and lost this property another star: What genius thought it was a good idea to buy "luggage carts" that could carry little to no luggage? These things are slanted, with three wheels, and have an almost completely open bottom! If you don't have a large suitcase to use as a bottom for this thing, everything you put on it is falling right out! There is no rack to hang things on, only a hook! We had to juggle our luggage to use this ridiculous wheeled thing, and we did have a piece of luggage fall out. Totally crazy. La Quinta, junk these things, and get the luggage carts used by 99.9% of all hotels in the world! read more

I decided to stop here after seeing the hotel from the road. My phone was broke and I had no way to search hotels or make a reservation, so I walked in to see if they had availability. I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff, and was absolutely astounded by the customer service provided by the gentleman checking me in (I believe his name was Jayquan). Honestly, out of all the places I have stayed the last 8 nights, this is the best customer service that we have received! The hotel is obviously just built, and sooo nice! I don't think the room I stayed in has even been used before, because you can still smell the new wood and paint (which I love). The room is a decent size, the beds are comfy, and the pillows are like clouds! The shades are electric!?! The TV has many channels, and the Free high speed WiFi is a plus! The shower was fine, but may be a bit of an inconvenience for taller people. It was just tall enough to where I did not have to take the attachment off the wall (I'm 5'8). Also the water pressure wasn't that great, which kind of sucks for people with thick hair (like me). This place is great for dogs! There is a big open field with plenty of space for the dogs to run. There is also a doggy clean up station in case you forget your bags, and place to put the waste. In the morning, my children were running late as usual.... thankfully the staff were kind enough to let us in after the breakfast closed to grab some food! I appreciate that so much more than you could know! They definitely did not have to do that. Check out was fast and easy with Camille! Great customer service from her and every employee that I encountered. Also the price was perfect! I definitely feel that we got a great bang for our buck! read more

Shonda was attentive at the breakfast buffet, and kept the area clean, tidy, and well-stocked. Even though we traveled through on New Year's Day, the staff treated us just as though it was every other day; we truly believed this was one of the best hotel experiences we have had in years! Horrible! $150 a night plus a $20 pet fee for our certified service dog which they did not inform us until we were checking in after a 10 hour drive. It's barely a Motel 6. No pen or paper in the room. Ugly drab vinyl floors. Common areas are dirty, a shock for afairly new motel. Pool chlorine is so strong it burns your eyes walking in the rear entrance. No premium or movie channels for $150 a night?? LaQuinta's in our experience are usually very curteous pet friendly motels... but this is one we will never stay again Even if we have to reroute our return. read more

The weirdness began a couple of hours before we checked in. We got a call about 6:00 p.m., asking us if we were still coming, and if so, when we would be there. The weirdness continued during check in. There is a list of 10-12 pet rules that each require initialing, including one that states that you have to use the back door to enter and exit the building. It is like trying to read a car lease. The hotel also requires masks in all indoor areas - except that it only enforces the rule in the breakfast room. So, you can check in and enjoy the hotel without a mask, but if you want to eat the breakfast you paid for, you have to wear a mask. Oh, and if you want dinner in West Memphis, you are either eating roller entrees from convenience stores, or fast food. If you've ever seen "In the Heat of the Night," the town is like "Sparta." I have spent close to 90 nights on the road this year. This place was the worst. read more

The Hopper app reserved and prepaid our room, but upon check in we were sent to a wrong room ( 1 king) and we reserved 2 queens. Then we were moved to another floor that we couldn't check with into because the keycard didnt work 2 different times. The manager, who lacked personality, finally came and we ( 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog) had to wait while she basically changed the lock. This hotel was a terrific surprise! It seems to be brand new. The lobby is spacious and nicely appointed. My room (king bed + accessible) was on the second floor facing the front of the building. The room itself was huge. Plenty of room to spread out. There was a large desk with office chair, a comfy reading chair, a closet for my bags, good air conditioning with wall-mounted thermostat, and a clean and bright bathroom. I liked the huge walk-in shower, the tall ceilings (9 or 10 feet), and the sleek furnishings, which included a 42" flat panel TV. My room had one window with a total blackout shade as well as a mini-fridge, microwave, and traditional coffeemaker. Wifi is complimentary and fine for most tasks. There were six USB charging ports in the room. Easy highway access and within walking distance of Cracker Barrel, if that's your thing. A road with a bunch of chain restaurants was an easy 5-minute drive. The hotel grounds were brightly illuminated after sunset; multiple security cameras were also in use. In sum, this hotel was super comfortable and greatly exceeded my (demanding) expectations. It was very reasonably priced for a one-night stay. Felt more like a new studio apartment than a chain hotel. Highly recommended. Pet friendly: $20 fee, but a decent amount of green space on the perimeter of the hotel. Bags are provided on the back side of the property. No carpet in the room or lobby area. Only negative thing I can think of is that hotel staff moved at a very leisurely pace. No one was at the check-in desk when I arrived. read more

Very clean and new. Sad we were charged $20 per pet since it's always been free at La Quinta. Nice front desk. Nice staff.Slow check in. Needs healthier breakfast options.. it was all bacon and minimal fruit. Oh and we woke up at 630 am to a fire alarm ... if the breakfast was better I would Give a 5 star. - oh and DO NOT eat at Cracker Barrel. See my review for more info! They are a hot mess. read more

I've never experienced a worse hotel. The service from the staff is deplorable, at best. Sharon King is an inadequate and incompetent manager. We had spiders in the room and the solution was a new pillow case. My card was charged in appropriately and despite evidence from the bank no admission of fault or guilt was made by the hotel, nor any reasonable attempt to make it right. Silverware was non-existent to eat breakfast - forks or spoons are needed for eggs or cereal to my knowledge. The property must be new because that is the only way this crew could keep it clean. No remorse from the staff or any haste in producing coffee (empty), juice (empty), milk (empty), eggs (gone)... what a waste of money this entire stay was, not to mention we are currently having to involve the bank due to the billing issues. Stayed at this lovely motel last April. It was spectacular! Our next stay, Nov, 2020 was disturbing. Booked online thru Wyndham app. We were given a room which is pet friendly, my Husband is allergic to dogs. I did select no pets with on line check in. The upside is the staff was wonderful changing our room, which turned out to be delightful, very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again on our way thru but will call ahead to make sure we have a pet free room. read more

Head for the hills or sleep in your car because this 'Inn' is a waste of your money. After driving two 14 hours legs of a journey from California to Ohio, I stayed here for my final night before arriving to my destination. It was hard to find a hotel that was 'dog friendly' but I wouldn't actually consider this establishment friendly to dogs OR humans OR the disabled. I would like to warn anyone against staying anywhere close to the elevator. From the high cost of my suite, I was under the impression I was getting at least a nice room stay in with my dog for a few hours. I made a special note to request a late checkin in at 2 am. Instead, what I received was a 5 hour carnival ride in a vibrating box with sticky urine covered floors somehow otherwise intended for handicapped guests. Room 312 and dangerously close to the elevator and it wasn't just a noise, it was a massive room shaking vibration every several seconds. Not only did I not get any sleep in this room, my dog was concerned we were under attack the entire time. I asked for a different room and was told there was no availability. I was given the option of waiting until morning after another room was cleaned to sleep for a few hours before heading on the last leg of my 3 day journey. I left at 7 am and was assured that I would receive a call from management who, of course, was no where to be found or contacted to discuss the problem. Perhaps they aren't looking for repeat business bc I would certainly rather suffer the bubonic plague before staying here ever again. read more

I'd give it 6 stars! If you didn't know better you would think you were the first person to enter the room! Pristine, the bed is heaven ( a bit tall for us short people ), the shower is walk-in and absolutely wonderful but most of all, the staff is person able and efficient! It's the whole ball of wax. We loved it so much that we booked our room for the return trip before we left. You won't want to steal the towels, you'll want to steal the bathroom. The best place we've ever stayed and we've been around! Oh, yeah! The pricing was fantastic! All this for less than a couple of not so great places nearby. read more

This hotel was a very nice hotel you know it was they had a very nice stairwell carpet real carpet and also they had a wonderful wonderful I mean wonderful exercise room with expensive equipment and the elevator buttons were remarkable I mean it when you push it when you push the button the square lights up it's incredible I've never seen anything like it oh but the breakfast was disappointing it was like they put out gravy that it was gone but they wouldn't replenish stuff so one time the biscuit was burnt and then another time day they changed everything on the last day we were there and we had to wait an hour for gravy I mean come on and what they let dogs in the hotel that's awesome like a dog I've never seen a dog before so yeah dogs are awesome so yeah bye I'll see you later read more

Alisha at the front desk is an angel - warm and friendly and professional. Room was mostly clean. Bright white lighting makes the room feel like an office rather than a bedroom. There are no carpets, and other guests voices and music echo through the room. A note to other front desk staff - if a bedraggled guest is struggling and fumbling with bags and children, a smile, a hello, and maybe an offer to help means so much. When you're expecting a hospitable welcome after a day on the highway, having policies barked at you certainly suggests you've chosen the wrong place to go for a night's sleep. This is a new hotel, so it is clean, beautiful and well equipped. The rooms do not have carpet which is a good thing because the hotel is pet friendly. That said, I will not be staying here again. I made my reservations at lq.com. There is no notice on the website that this hotel now charges a pet fee of $20 per pet. Neither was there any mention of it on my confirmation or the text reminder they sent me. The first I heard of it was upon checking in. That is not fair and it is a betrayal to loyal LaQuinta customers who come here BECAUSE of the pet policy. I asked the receptionist to waive the fee because I was not notified of it and she said she could not do that. I had to sign two forms to acknowledge I was paying the pet fee. I guess they don't trust their customers either. The check-in process was the worst I have ever experienced. There were 4 people checking in front of me. It took 30 minutes to check in. That is unacceptable. If this place is so busy, perhaps they need more than one check in clerk. She also was answering the phone whilst checking people in. Very bad management. Our room, a King Deluxe was comfortable. But the tv remotes were horrible. No button for "guide" and no list of channels. The tv screen said to push the "input" button. There was no input button. Eventually you will find the guide embedded in channel 7.1 if you can figure out how to switch it from analog to digital. The fitness center was superb. I spoke to the manager upon checking out about my dissatisfaction with the unannounced pet fee and she was not helpful. She claimed notice of the fee is on page 2 of their website. It is not readily apparent. To find this information you must go to this particular hotel's web page, click on amenities, then click on see all policies. My suggestion: if you are changing a key element of the business plan that contributed so heavily to the success of your brand, make sure it is immediately obvious to potential customers. Like many of my fellow travelers, I realize the hotel may change its policies whenever it wants and I am able to decide if I want to stay here under those policies or not. I object to finding out about it upon checking in. Hiding such a fundamental policy change on page 2 or 3 of a website is a complete disregard for their customers and a betrayal to those who are loyal to the brand. This hotel does not respect the successful business model of the La Quinta brand. There are many hotel chains that are similar in price, especially if you add the $20 pet fee to the charge. There is no reason to stay here over any other hotel and I never will again. read more
