Seriously when I say unique I mean unique in a very good way! This motel is American owned and operated And you can see how proud they are of that, in every nook and cranny and details you wouldn't believe in a budget stay! Owned by a retired Marine and flying that flag too! Our room was large, spotless, with a patriotic flair. USA decor and colors of our beloved flag abound. Did I mention when we arrived and I was checking in the smell of fresh muffins baking in the oven was wafting throughout the lobby. The multi talented chef checked us in. Gave me a review of the cooked to order eggs along with the breakfast buffet that would await us in the morning. He is a very friendly fellow and hard worker -obvious he enjoys his work. If you are traveling between hither and yon.....you must make this your rest stop, you won't regret it! read more

Stay here. It's a pleasant experience, with lots of "perks" It's not fancy, but you will be wow'd. Knights Inn are not known for their quality, so when we saw the high online reviews, we were surprised and gave it a shot. Happy we did. You enter your room from the oitside. (Not something my wife likes in a hotel.) She likes to enter her room from the inside. Tried unsuccessfully to cancel the room. Happy we stayed. The owner, Michael, is a Marine and many retired/inactive military and police stay here. The staff, (ie. Alan) is jovial and pleasant. He's always in a good mood--seemingly. American flags are everywhere and military decor peppered throughout the lobby. The news station in breakfast area is on Fox News. The breakfast is killer. You get eggs made to order, including omelettes, too. Cut fruit, biscuits and gravy, breads individually bagged. The rooms are clean. We got slippers and a chocolate mint on our beds. The shower curtain is a beautiful American flag design. A lot of pluses for a great price. read more

This would be a 5 review but the comforter was dirty and gross. Aside from the comforter, this hotel was better than we expected. From the moment we walked in, the young man at the desk was friendly and welcoming. He had our reservation printed and waiting for us. The room was nicely set up with free slippers & a mint for all 4 of us. 2 toothbrushes, a mouthwash, 2 shampoos, conditioners & oatmeal soaps lined the sink. The hand towels were folded into fun shapes too. The beds were VERY comfortable. I kept smelling a faint cigarette smell (we had a nonsmoking room) but I was the only one, I chalk it up to my over sensitive nose The free Breakfast buffet was amazing! The young man at check in was also our "chef". He made-to-order omelets, eggs (how you like them), waffles, French toast, pancakes. Ready to eat offered cereal, instant oatmeal, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage, fresh fruit (melon & pineapple), bagels & bread, juice. Coffee was fresh and delicious. Breakfast alone would get 5 stars, as would our chef/desk clerk. Sadly, I can't get past the gross comforter to up my total stars. read more

What you hope to find. The guy at the front desk was friendly and efficient, and encouraged us to come to breakfast in the morning (6-9am), and listed some of the things that would be available, including fresh, real eggs, made to order. The room is clean and gorgeous. The walls are cleanly painted. The drapes, bedspreads, and throw pillows are all matching and beautiful. There is an assortment of soaps, and even complimentary individually-wrapped toothbrushes on the bathroom sink. There is a refrigerator, freezer, and a microwave. When my wife and I travel for vacation, we inevitably end up about 10 hours from home at midnight and have to make the decision to either finish the drive or find a cheap place to sleep for a few hours. It is hard to justify $100+ for a couple hours of sleep and a shower, and it is just as hard to accept "doesn't have bugs and blood on the sheets" as "amenities" that you can't expect at a cheaper hotel. All that to say this: This hotel is good enough that it could probably charge more, but we're glad it didn't. We would have chosen to drive instead and would've missed this wonderful experience. read more

Great cheap place to stay passing through West Memphis. Room was clean, freshly updated and comfortable. Best part was the guy who was working there. He's pretty awesome. He was a jack of all trades. He can get you anything you need, fix anything and make your waffles. Breakfast is like a one man comedy show. Best food I've had since I left Northern Illinois. That includes eating at the Waffle House. Would definitely stay there again. read more

Late last night we werelooking for reviews on here for a descent place to stay and by the reviews this one lookedand sounded pretty nice. YES, you all hit this one straight up... awesome. I usually dont stay in knights inn but let me tell ya- this one shocked all of us. Its very nice. Very clean. Slippers on the beds. Toothbrushes and good soaps and scope on the bathroom vanity. Tons of towels. New clean towels. A feather comforter on both beds with feather throws. Beds were good- pillows were ok. The breakfast we missed it but I went down to see if they had any fruit left over and WOW...we missed a good breakfast. They gave me a bowl of watermelon and cantelope scooped out into little balls, they were all in a watermelon bowl. The pool here looks amazing. Bring your swimsuits ya'll- Very nice people and staff here. Felt at home read more

I'm not sure how anyone left a good review. The pool was disgusting (not that I use pools, though). The front staff were so rude. I called the front desk to ask a question and she HUNG UP ON ME. On purpose. The sheets seem clean, though, which I didn't expect once I walked in the room. I don't know who this Alan man everyone speaks of, but if he was there, I didn't see him. I've been to two places worse than here, though, so I guess it could have been worse. Also, it's advertised as a completely different name so it was a bit confusing when we were at the right address but the name was wrong. read more

Where do you start with a place this bad. Being an over-the-road truck driving team we like to get out of the truck when we are going to stop and check into a motel. Of the dozens of places that we have stayed in the last year I've never seen one that came close to being this bad. We selected this place because we travel with our 5 lb dog. The website about places that allow pets says this place does. The website for here says they don't take dogs. A quick phone call and they said bring the dog. The place was easy to find and had parking. The place on the outside needed to have their face lift finished. The columns still have unpainted areas where they were patched. The door frames are trashed and have a lot of missing paint. Upon opening the door you are hit in the face with the stench. Neither of us are smokers. The sticker on the door says no smoking. I guess it's just a suggestion. My first trip after opening the door was to go back to the truck for our bottle of Febreaze to cut the smell. I tried to turn on the AC, but it didn't really work. Now it's set on 60, cool, and max fan. It comes on every now and again. I assure you it's a lot hotter than 60 in here. I have sweat running down my chest. What next? When we checked in we asked for a room with a fridge and microwave. My wife went to put our groceries in the fridge and guess what? It doesn't work. We decided we didn't want to try the microwave. She cooked in the truck. She did want some ice for our drinks. We realized that there was no ice bucket and the cups were those cheap with styrofoam cups you get at the grocery store. They were just stacked on the bathroom counter and not wrapped. So it's back to the truck after the ice chest. I tried to get ice from their ice machine. After about 10 minutes of trying I did get about two cups worth. Now she is ready to take a bath. The hi-lite of staying in a motel. She gets to sit in a bath tub. In truck stops you only get showers. So she goes and finds, yes finds, the towels and they are dirty. So I took them to the front desk and they replaced them. When I got back to the room I could hear the water running in the tub. I handed her the towels and started watching the football game. Well the new towels are dirty. When I say something about taking them back she gets dressed and goes out to the truck to get towels. When she came back in she stated that she wasn't taking a bath. I walked into the bathroom and took a picture of the off colored water filling the tub. Now I'm really pissed off. I take the new dirty towel and the picture of the orange colored water and head for the front desk. It's now to late to try to pack everything up and find a new place to stay. The lady at the desk seemed upset. Then she tried to blame the water on the city. Wrong! It wouldn't pass the public health inspectors to be public water. I was getting ready to let her have it when a cooler head reminded me that she is just an employee. On the way back to the room I saw the ice machine again. It then dawned on me that the ice machine was dirty on the outside. The water is not potable. If they don't clean the outside then I'm sure they don't clean the inside. Yes, ice machines develop fungus and mold on the inside. I was in the restaurant business for 20+ years. Also, with the water the way it is, how often do they even change the water filter? This may explain why I could only get a couple cups of ice from it. Tomorrow morning when a management type person is in I'm going to ask for my money back. It would be wise for them to just refund my money. I'm going to be busy and unless they just piss me off more I'll forget about calling the health department about this place. Stay here again? Never. I'll sleep in the truck, it has a bed you know, before I ever set foot in this place again. read more

This is the nicest motel I've stayed at! The room was nice and had extra shampoo bottles, coffee and toothbrushes. The bed was comfortable and clean. The reason I am giving this 3 stars instead of more is for the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was hair in the bathroom and an empty mini shampoo bottle left on the floor. When we went to our room the first time the door was open which was a little unsettling but probably just a mistake from when the room was cleaned. However, since it is a motel and opens to the outside this was a somewhat bigger deal than it would be in an all indoor hotel. Overall it was a nice motel and I would stay here again. read more

I was a little apprehensive when booking my reservation. The ratings were good but my experiences with past Knights Inn stays have been less than stellar. Well, I'm glad to say, the ratings were right on! This was a very pleasant stay. Nice rates, clean rooms and exceptional front office staff. Upon looking for a place to stay, you don't need to be told that this motel isn't high class. We decided to stay here for Beale Street music festival, for lack of other options and as an attempt to save money for our vacation. Despite the clear negatives about this place, it really was a quick and affordable motel to stay in such short notice. If you're looking for a decently priced hotel in this area, stay here. We checked in late at night and the clerk at check in (Michael I think?) was super friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and clean, and breakfast in the morning (cooked by Michael who seems to be in a perpetually good mood) was amazing. Seriously the best hotel breakfast ever. Eggs cooked to order and a beautiful fruit selection. It was refreshing to see an independently owned hotel where clearly the owner has taken pride in his business. We stopped at this Inn coming down from Indiana. The front desk was very nice and friendly. We got into our room and it did not smell at all, so that was a plus. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked really well. The shower worked very well and had good water pressure. The only downside to this room was that the fridge was sort of rusted which did not look very good. read more

Don't usually have good reviews for a Knight's Inn but this place is above awesome. Friendly staff, room refreshingly, tastefully decorated with much appreciated American patriotism, squeaky clean room, very comfy bed and pillows, big screen tv. Hot breakfast custom prepared for you by friendly chef in addition to buffet of fresh fruit, delicious sausage and gravy, oatmeal, etc. We stop in West Memphis frequently throughout the year on way to Texas. Will most definitely make this our "go to" hotel. read more

It was a little hard to find, but it was totally worth it. The room had everything you needed to go on vacation. They had toothbrushes, organic soaps, shampoos, and lotion, flipflops, and complementary chocolate. The room was your standard room with a little hint of smoke in it, but then again it is Tennessee were America still smokes. There was a little noise going on outside, but nothing dangerous. The parking lot is small and since my husband and I were traveling in a uhaul we had to leave it parked in the front of the hotel. It was there the net morning so at least that part of Memphis is safe. The best part of staying here is the customer service and the breakfast in the morning. The gentleman at the front desk is multi-talented. He will check you in and out and he will make you a warm delicious eggs any way you want, pancakes and waffles. His cheerful spirit was very welcoming and very much appreciated. They had a spread of fresh fruits, fresh coffee, sausage gravy, warm biscuits, sausages, and the usual yogurt, oatmeal and cereal. I was so full after breakfast I didn't want anything else for the rest of the day. Every guest coming in was loving the chef. We decided to stay here because of the good reviews but were very disappointed. The room was nice but the AC did not work properly, it would run continuously but not cool. Once every few hours it would start making a loud noise and then cool for about 5 minutes before stopping. We called the desk twice, the first time we were told that we needed to turn the unit to 60 degrees before it would turn on. We did this and waited about two hours before calling back and asking for a different room because it was so hot we couldn't sleep. The front desk (same person we talked to originally) said they were fully booked and that they could come look at it but probably couldn't do anything about it until the morning. It was difficult to believe they were fully booked on a Wednesday night and with an almost empty parking lot. We told them to not come since he said they probably couldn't do anything about it, and spent the night sweating and trying to sleep. We will not stay at a Knights Inn again. read more
