Good location, there's always plenty of parking. They are clean, and I like how they package to-go food items, like the esquite for example. Their ice cream is good, I liked the texture/consistency of it more here than some of the other ice cream shops in town. The only thing I do not like from here and would not recommend is their esquite (corn cups). I have tried them twice here and both times there is a lot of water in the cup from the corn, and I do not like that it mixes with the cream and basically becomes soup. Only the top looks nice, but once you get a few spoon fulls off the top you see the water right away. You are better off getting it from the corn men that walk around with their little carts, they always drain the corn well. The limón ice cream is definitely good for those that want something more refreshing or not too sweet. The tequila flavor is interesting. The cappuccino flavor is definitely good for coffee lovers and it is actually quite strong. read more

For me, this is by far the best ice cream I've had. This place has a large variety of flavors. I've yet to try a flavor that has disappointed me. I had gotten agua de horchata that tasted rotten, I went back and kindly asked the older lady if I could exchange it for a different flavor. She goes on to taste it herself and tell me that my taste buds were not up to her delicious water and that next time I shouldn't be buying aguas frescas without tasting them. This is my spot right here! I've been coming to this place ever since they opened and it's because I love it. The ice cream here is all handmade which I personally love. It's not overly sweet and they got some interesting flavors! My favorite is the cookies and cream! Sooooo goood! The cookie is so soft and you still get the creaminess as well inside the ice cream and cookie itself. The most interesting flavor that I tried here was like the tequila like flavor and that was super interesting. Was stuck between if I liked it or disliked it. Either way it sparked my interest. My favorite thing to always come back for is the drinks! The drinks are super good! The fresa is my go to! They have the fruitas where it has apples and strawberries but to me, there is just something I don't like about drinking bits of apple in my drink. Fresh strawberries in the drink. Since I got a free scoop so I opted for coffee flavor. It had distinct coffee flavor. I don't know if it is Mexican coffee. But it is not like American coffee. It is so rich and flavorful. Yes, just like everything else their prices went up. (Doubled in price). There's something about paleteria's. I'm not sure if I seek them, or they seek me. But wherever I go, you can guarantee I'll be found at the local paleteria. I came to Santa Maria to visit the boyfriends family. After a few hours of grilling and drinking I came up with the brilliant idea of visiting this place. We grabbed the nearest sober driver in the family and headed out. Inside it was jumping off. A line of people waiting to order delicious sweet treats. Ice cream, popsicles, sundaes, and plenty of fruit/chile drink combo's. There was just about every flavor of paleteria that you could come up with. They were out of guava (my personal favorite) so I opted for the strawberry cheesecake. This one was a little different than what I'm familiar with. It was like a deconstructed strawberry cheesecake popsicle. With strawberry inside, coated with cheesecake on the outside. It was completely and utterly perfect in the warm summer weather. I am a regular customer here. I believe the employees already know what I enjoy ordering. Whoops. This is the most adorable small place in Santa Maria. If you ever feel like getting a small snack or trying to remember that little Michoacana stand back in your pueblo, this is the place to go. The ice-cream flavors are amazing, as are the employees. Every time I enter this small spot I am greeted with a warm smile and a nice person asking me what may want to order. Like the name states, this is the real place to go if you are hoping for something sweet. The sweet aroma wafts through your nostrils the minute you step in. The aura of this place is calming and up beat. Even the employees smile and joke with you if they find a chance. I recommend everyone to stop by if it's just to simply buy flavored water or take a small plate of nachos or a bag of popcorn. Come on by and take in the good vibes if you're having a down day. I've noticed when I enter other small ice-cream parlors all I'm greeted by is dirty floors and that one cashier with a sour attitude. Most places rarely have the flavor you desire and usually scrape away the ends of the carton and let's admit the ice-cream that is always scraped off the carton's walls always taste kind of funky.
