Excellent Excellent EXCELLENT! Yours truly Nasty Nathanial here. I am sure all of my fellow Yelpers can already tell how this review is going to go. I mean I didn't even kick it off with my traditional "howdy folks." But seriously, this is the best ice cream that I've ever had in my whole life and I'm going to tell you all why. So strap on your safety belts and let's drive right into it. I recently tried Nite Creamery's ice cream for the first time the other night. But this isn't the first time I've ever been here. I visited this location a few months back when myself, and fellow activist Matthew The King, came here to conduct a First Amendment Audit. But ever since then I've been curious about this place. There was something about Nite Creamery that set it apart from the other businesses in the area. Could it be that mysterious fog like substance that creeps over the counter? Well, there's a reason for that and I will explain that in a bit. But regardless of the reason, I just had to return and try their ice cream. Boy oh boy am I glad I did. So I ended up coming to Nite Creamery on a Wednesday evening and I am glad that I chose a week night for my first visit because this place can get pretty packed on the weekend. But I was able to walk right up to the counter where I was greeted by two friendly employees, a dark haired girl and a chubby Filipino guy. Both of them had smiles on their faces and seemed happy to be. For all I know maybe they hate their job. But if they do, they're doing a pretty good job hiding it. Now the next step was to place an order. I bet you didn't see that coming. But their ordering system is a little bit different than most places. One of the employees explained to me that how it works is you place your order on a touch screen pad and then pay with whatever payment method you're using. This was kind of nice as I felt less pressured without having someone standing over me while I try to decide what I want. But I still kind of miss the good ol' days of a real human being taking your order. But hey. This is 2026, not 1996. Anyways, I ended up going with this ice cream called the Salted Carmel Crumb. One of the things that first caught my attention was the fact that they place a pretzel on top of the scoop of ice cream. Yes I'm serious. A pretzel on ice cream. I bet you never heard of that before. Well, that is unless you have been to Nite Creamery before. Enough about how the ice cream looks. Let's talk about how it tasted. This ice cream is PHONOMENAL! It truly is better than s**. They don't make ice cream in the traditional way like they do at most ice cream parlors. At Nite Creamery they mix the ingredients and then freeze it right on the spot. That's where the mysterious fog comes from. But yeah that's what they do at Nite Creamery and I'm glad they do it that way. The reason being is you get a richer creamier ice cream that is full of flavor and tastes oh soooooooo good. I liked it so much that when I was finished, I walked back in and ordered another one. Only this time I went with the All Niter. That was phenomenal as well. If you've made it through this entire review I will assume that you get it that I love Nite Creamery. I really do love this place and I hope they'll continue to remain in the community for year's to come. So with that being said, I think I will go ahead and sign off for now. If you live on the Central Coast and want to try some ice cream that is better than s**, I highly encourage you to head over to Nite Creamery. You won't be disappointed. It had been a long time since I went here (no bad reason). While I wish there was comfier seating inside the decor is still very cool. The ice cream itself was so smooth and very yummy. Watching them make the ice cream is definitely a very fun experience.
I absolutely love Nite Creamery!!! It's definitely the best ice cream spot in Santa Maria. My personal favorite flavor is The Flintstones with the extra Nite Puff. If you love Fruity Pebbles cereal you will love this flavor of ice cream, since not only do they top it with Fruity Pebbles, but they actually mix it into the ice cream itself. I really like the Nite Puffs as well. They are nice and doughy and I prefer them over a cone. With how cold Santa Maria is tonight, I was shocked to see how many people that were there. Even though they were busy, there was still plenty of parking and seating inside. You don't interact with the staff much since you order from a screen and they call your name when your order is ready,but it is super cool watching them make the ice cream with the "smoke" looking substance swirling around the mixing bowls from all the Nitrogen.
Ice cream was ok but definitely on the pricier side. Nite puff was dense and I'm use to the light and fluffy bubble waffles. I was super excited to try this spot, but overall nothing too special.

I came into the Creamery and looked at the menu to decide what I wanted. I ended up opting for the Roasted Malone. I sat down to eat it and it was sooo good. The ice cream was creamy, the marshmallow toasty, and the graham cracker crumbs complimented it well. I wanted to share the fun and decided to get a strawberry ice cream to go for my mom. Unfortunately, they don't have to go lids so I plopped another cup on top of the ice cream and just hoped it would hold up until I got home! I gave the ice cream to my mom as soon as I could and she dug right in. She said it was really good and gave me a bite. Again, very creamy and not too sweet! Overall, enjoyed my experience at Nite Creamery and would come again.
First time trying this popular ice cream shop in Santa Maria, worker Evelyn did the best job to make it a welcoming experience and made the best ice cream I have ever tried! They have a variety of flavors to pick and chose, I tried the "Fudged Up" and was in amazed by the richness and perfect amount of sweetness. I would recommend this creamery to anyone visiting the 805 or near by. Cant wait to stop by again!

Do the owners still care about this location? It's so out of date, kinda stinky and it just looks so damn depressing. I miss when it was actually cute inside with all the pretty plants and actually felt like a "third spot" I still like the ice cream but sometimes I'll just go somewhere else instead because it's just so sad in here. read more

I absolutely love Nite Creamery!!! It's definitely the best ice cream spot in Santa Maria. My personal favorite flavor is The Flintstones with the extra Nite Puff. They have a variety of flavors to pick and chose, I tried the "Fudged Up" and was in amazed by the richness and perfect amount of sweetness. Late night ice cream? Yes please. Nite creamery def hold up to it's name. The ice cream was so creamy and tasty! It opens until 10pm which is nice because everything closes so early in Santa Maria. You order through the kiosks and they make the ice cream fresh in front of you. The line goes by pretty quick so there isn't much of a wait! Can't wait to try the other flavors that are offered here! read more

Some of the freshest ice cream I've ever tasted! I love how it's literally handmade right in front of you. Even the waffle cone and waffle puffs were warm in their cup with the ice cream, it was just so delicious. It is more pricey than your average place but given the work each item takes I understand why. Would definitely go back and try other flavors again :) read more

Tried the thicc mint with nite cone and to my surprise the ice cream had little tiny leaf mints but the right amount that you aren't overwhelmed. Overall good. The only thing I would wish is if they wiped down the benches where people are sitting, it was sticky which is a turn off. I feel they should have a few seasonal flavors or relatable cream flavors to get more foot traffic. read more

If you like peanut butter and Nutella, you have to try P.B. Nutella, Nutella Ice Cream with chocolate and peanut butter drizzle. Play on chocolate peanut butter but the Nutella elevates it. Flavors shine without it being too sweet. I had the Thicc Mint as well, mint ice cream with cookies n cream and rice krispy. It was ok for me. Mint was light, but the cookies n cream wasn't present enough and the rice krispy was soggy. Probably because they mixed liquid nitrogen with the rice krispy, so it was chewy in a stale kind of way. Overall very subtle shy flavors. If it was mixed in as a topping or with bits of Rice Krispy Treats, it would've given it more texture or flavor, which would've been a game changer. Clean place, friendly staff, and close to a "Raising Cane's". Definitely a must try for liquid nitrogen ice cream, made to order, with fun flavors to choose from. Puff cone: I suggest the chocolate chip puff. It adds sweetness to it. Otherwise, it tastes like a pancake with no syrup, and I like my pancakes drenched in syrup. Enough said. read more

Delicious creamy ice cream. I enjoyed the salted caramel ice cream on a night puff. Limited seating area but clean and modern. The staff is friendly but interaction is limited as self order on a kiosk is encouraged. They are open late; (10pm) great for summer nights. read more

So I'm not an ice cream snob or anything and I do love any kind of ice cream from anywhere but if you must have freshly made before your eyes ice cream, then go check this place out. I don't live in this area but if I did, and if I wanted to spend $9.00 for a puffle cone and a unique taste then I would definitely put this on my weekly go to rotation for I've cream. Plus the customer service is great and everything was spotless and squeaky clean inside. read more

I decided to stop by Nite creamery for some ice cream tonight. At first I couldn't really find where the actual store location wise and had to use Google maps to slowly find where in the plaza the store is actually located. I didn't realize it would be in the back corner of the target plaza. I got there at 8 o'clock and none of the lights in that corner of the plaza but it did eventually turn on closer to about 8:20 or so but that's not the store's problem. Otherwise, it was kind of dark and gave me a vibe of things being deserted. The store itself is pretty tiny. When you first walk in on the left-hand side on the ground there are arrows directing the flow of traffic. And that's where you first place your order at the register. There's only a handful of tables in the actual store itself so you probably won't be able to get a table unless you're lucky. There isn't much of a spectacle here when they are making your ice cream with liquid nitrogen. The team members are very low key about it. It should be fun when there's a lot of liquid nitrogen gas coming out from the mixers. For my ice cream selection today I went with the strawberry creme with the waffle. The Waffle itself is like the Hong Kong style egg waffle mold which they fold into a cone shape and they place the ice cream on top. What added a nice touch was that waffle was nice and hot when they handed me the ice cream cone so it gave it a good contrast of temperatures and textures. Overall, it was a good ice cream experience. They do have a sticker saying that they charge a 35 cent flat rate service charge when you decide to use your credit card to pay. I suppose it's better than forcing a minimum spend for credit card use. I tend to have mixed feelings about businesses passing on the merchant fees to their customers but that's a discussion for somewhere else. It's not necessarily about a few cents but more so the principle of the matter. read more
