I hadn't stepped foot in or shopped at Kohls for quite some time until yesterday and now I remember…read morewhy. So, the main reason I even went in here recently was to drop off an Amazon return which went very well, no complaints there. I decided to stay and look around because when you drop off Amazon returns with them, they give you a coupon for $10 off $25+ but it can only be used the same day as your return. I looked around for a bit and did find a few small items to purchase. I got up to the register and was assisted by a young male cashier who I'd say looked to be about 17-19... I will say he was a nice kid but definitely not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed. He rang up my items and took my coupon but I'm 99.9% certain he didn't even scan the coupon...or at least didn't scan it correctly. He gave me a total of $31.78 for a travel bag set with plastic bottles ($12), sunscreen spray ($14) and a 30 ct package of makeup remover wipes ($3) so if you add that up and then figure in a couple bucks for tax that would add up to the total given but the coupon was supposed to take $10 off the total and I spent more than the $25 before tax so coupon should have worked if it was properly scanned. I mentioned this to him and he said "oh I scanned it so it's in there" whatever, I just wanted to get home as soon as possible so decided not to argue it and just said okay. I got out my cash and handed him $35. He seemed to quickly count it and said "oh ma'am your total is $31.78"... so I thought oh maybe I miscounted and said oh sorry and handed over another $10 bill. He responded "it's okay" but luckily I took a good look at the cash in his hands before he put it in the register and it added up to $45... I said wait a second and pointed out the amount and he said "oh sorry" and handed me back the $10 I just gave him then calculated to figure out the change he owed me with the $35.. if I hadn't have been paying attention and caught that, he would have easily ripped me off by nearly $15! Again, he seems like a nice kid but he should be assisting customers on the sales floor..I don't think he should be at the register. I'm no math expert but I do know simple addition and subtraction and for a cashier job it's a good idea to have someone there who knows basic math so both the business and the customers aren't getting ripped off. Unfortunately this seems to be a common problem with youth around here... they not only can't spell to save their lives, they also don't know how to count change on even the simplest orders. It's frustrating. If I do another amazon return here, it'll be just that .. I'm not gonna look around and try to use a coupon they may not even scan anyways (it showed on my receipt I didn't get the $10 off discount as I suspected) and then to almost get ripped off further with my change just adds to the frustration.

During Covid, this place was a mess... shelves bare, clothes all over the floor, shoes out of boxes…read moreand littered around the floor. Now everything is kept organized and restocked. I was able to find things I needed. Not everything I needed was available though. But they do have pretty good sales. The kohls cash is kind of useless unfortunately. After shopping, they give you this kohls cash that you have to use during a tiny window of time. I'm never available during that time. Kohls "cash" should be available ANY time. Just like cash, it shouldn't expire. Just like gift cards, it shouldn't expire. I know Kohls is trying to force people back into their stores on their timelines, but I would think more highly of them and return more often if I didn't feel so scammed. Honestly, I prefer the hard working mom and pop stores over the big corporate ones anyway.

The one and only saving grace it this location is Cici. She was the only one in the entire store with a smile. We would have spent more money, I was looking at $399.00 Stetson hat. By the way, no one assisted us in hats. We were literally throwing hats around looking for a correct size. Only 2 other customers in the store. No one at the counters checking out. Where was the assistance. I had over $700.00 worth of hats and belts in my online cart. We decided to go in store to purchase my items. We left with 2. DO NOT BOTHER GOING TO NAMPA BOOT BARN. Drive to a different location. Those sad workers need customer service classes and quit frankly a big fat dose of CLASS!

I'm no longer able to use the boots because the plastic pieces cut into the back of the foot. The steel toe held up But for 180$ to use them for 3 months and no longer be able to use them is a scam. Tried reaching out to the original manufacturer and then the store and they had told me this is what comes with typical ware and tare completely disregarding the fact the rest of the boot is made terrible and falls apart. Twisted x for the price the boots should last or you should At least be prepared to focus on the work industry and make a boot that doesn't fall apart in 3 months.
