Honestly, I would give zero stars if it were possible. Paid over $2,000 to move a few of Mom's treasured things to Puerto Rico. The movers destroyed more than $4,000 including an antique vanity (irreplaceable!!!) and the insurance only covered $1,400, not the $2,000 we had in coverage. 1 Star - Extremely Disorganized, Poor Communication, No Accountability Our experience with Rosa del Monte (Puerto Rico / Philadelphia) was deeply frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. We shipped a pickup truck on October 17 from Puerto Rico. We were quoted $1,800, but upon arrival at the Philadelphia facility, they refused to honor the quoted price and instead demanded $3,000. Only after a lengthy conversation did they finally agree to honor the original quote. This should have been our first warning sign. On November 29, we received a formal letter from Rosa del Monte (receiving destination) stating that the truck was ready for pickup. We went in person and were told we needed to pay the taxes, which we did immediately. We were then informed that the truck still needed to be inspected and that this would take about one week, after which they would call us. That call never came. For weeks, we called twice a week, every week. Each time, we were told the same thing: "Please leave a message and someone will call you back." No one ever returned our calls. The person answering the phone was consistently unwilling or unable to provide any information beyond repeating that script. Finally, on January 9, after nearly six weeks of silence, we went in person to investigate. Only then were we told--very casually--that the truck was ready for pickup and had apparently been ready all along. We were also told they had "called and left a message," which never happened. There were no missed calls or voicemails--at any point. Adding insult to injury, the November letter explicitly stated that daily storage fees would begin after December 1. The fact that no storage fees were charged strongly suggests this case was forgotten, neglected, or improperly tracked rather than actively processed. The most disappointing part of this entire experience was the complete lack of accountability. No apology. No acknowledgment of the delay. No explanation. When we later called to file a complaint, we were laughed at and told: "This matter is resolved. We don't see what the issue is." The issue was never the truck alone--it was the weeks of silence, misinformation, disregard, and total lack of customer care. All we asked for was a basic apology for how poorly this was handled. We didn't even receive that. This was a terrible experience--one I would not wish on anyone. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Rosa del Monte to anyone who values transparency, communication, or professionalism. read more

Rosa del Monte is the absolute worse moving company. I would 100% not recommend it to any one. They do not care at all about your belongings, they do not care about the instructions written in English nor in Spanish on your boxes. Even if you put fragile on boxes, they will completely disregard the instrctions and will put 5 other boxes on top. You can put 10 directional arrows on a box and they will not care about it. Bicycle boxes with clear instructions on it are transported standing up on the fork side. On top of that when you point out the lack of care for your belonging and disregard for clear instructions to the delivery guy in Puerto Rico, he tries to argue that everything is fine and to look inside through the handle as a proof that I'm overreacting. Also, their insurance is a scam, they charge you per items that they will transport, they charge you for an insurance and of course when they break something they tell you "oh by the way we use a third party that has exclusions for ikea type furniture". And the cherry on top! We shipped a car with them, that was "thoroughly" inspected inside and out. We had a tire pressure pump with the spare tire (inside the spare tire compartment), that was STOLEN from us. The person in Miami who did the inspection saw it, she made us open the trunk, lift the divider to see the the spare tire compartment and did not say anything about it. There was also a windshield sunshade in the car that they did not have us remove but they did not steal it. So somone in that company is obviously looking through the cars and picking up whatever is interesting to them. And to add to the horrible customer service, you cannot get a straight answer as to where your things are once they pick everything up. You call the Puerto rico office, they tell you double check with the Philadelphia office, that will not give you a straight answer and refer you to the Port services to locate a boat that did not exist. One office told us that our things were still in New Jersey when the other office told us that it was in Philadelphia, when the pick up driver told us that he was going straight to New Jersey. "This is pathetic, its 2026 and they cannot properly track a container? You can track a pair of socks from the deepest part of the countryside of a country on the other side of the world but Rosa Del Monte is incapable of tracking a container? What is this? read more

Under NO circumstances should you use this company to move your belongings, they DESTROYED our furnishings and prized irreplaceable personal items. The boxes arrived wet and crushed and SOME ITEMS NEVER EVEN ARRIVED AT ALL! With so many broken items I ended up having to hire an attorney to sue them. They hide behind their contract that says you have just 72 hours to unpack and go through your entire household and personal belongings and report any damages or they are not liable. What a mistake. Horrible customer service. My furniture was picked up by a wonderful crew in Jacksonville FL, no problem there. Getting anyone to give me a status of when they will deliver my furniture in Puerto Rico is a disaster. Their phone system puts you in a never ending loop that always begins and ends at the intro message, both with the English and Spanish options. When I can connect to a different department with the hopes that they will transfer me, my call reverts to the never ending loop. It is a shame that something as stressful as a move is made more stressful by incompetence. read more

Te hablan de que firmaste un contrato el cual nunca nadie te explica ni te dice que es un contro, tampoco las politicas, te dicen una cosa en FL y otra muy diferente en PR. Me apena no haber visto tanto review malos como mi experiencia antes de contratarlos esto indica que es uso y costumbre en ellos. We used La Rosa del Monte to move from Florida to Puerto Rico. It was a horror story. They offer $3K insurance included in the cost of shipping. We estimate $10K in damaged furniture. Note that not a single item we packed was damaged on arrival. I was able to repair our 40 year old roll-top desk but don't know how long it will last. A beautiful 40 year old all glass coffee table was shattered. They didn't even bother to unpack it. The guy said - take pictures to document it. We also added several of our more precious items at $40 per item to insure at replacement cost. We received a notice recently that they would compensate us $1K !!! Do NOT use La Rosa del Monte for your shipping unless you enjoy getting ripped off or you're a masochist. read more

I used this Company for first time and Mr Carlos Figueroa from the Miami Office was excellent in the entire meaning of the word. I received my stuff in a month and 4days everything came ok just a few boxes a little damage and the guys in PR were excellent as well! Horrible Company with horrible service. 8 expensive items were destroyed and they only wanted to pay for two (2) or three (3) items while leaning on technicalities to avoid paying for the full damages. The first time I called I gave a very detailed list of items and necessary boxes I would need for the move. I was given the company's limitations and a list of instructions needed from my end in order for your company to complete the move. When the movers arrived I was blindsided by an additional list of instructions that I had to do and additional limitations that the company had that I was never told about. After speaking with the manager he wanted to charge me an additional extra $1,000 for things that were never discussed. The nature of this contention was that I had specified that I needed things to be boxed by the movers as I was not going to be present and I was given a price. Then when the movers arrived and I disassembled everything I was asked to disassemble they wanted to charge me $80 per box extra from what we had previously discussed. Again, This information was given the first day and I was given a prize for the requests I made. Nothing had changed on my part and suddenly they wanted to charge an extra $1,000 saying that this was not discussed. I almost wanted to cancel the whole thing as this man was incredibly obnoxious and rude. He screamed at me over the phone. Still, we reached an agreement and I paid about $250 extra instead of the $1,000 extra that they wanted to charge. I was already a dissatisfied customer. The company stated that they were going to move all my things in six (6) weeks and I heard no answer from anyone in two (2) months. After I tirelessly called several times after the two (2) months I was given a date for another six weeks out, making the delivery date fourteen (14) weeks from the pickup date. So I had to talk to the manager again. They were suddenly able to squeeze me in last minute for Saturday June 12th, 2021. When the movers began to unload the truck in Puerto Rico we noticed way too many things were broken. The following list has all of the destroyed items. I submitted a claims report as well and am currently waiting their final decision/approval. 1. Chest had a leg broken and the whole thing is now just wobbly. Value: $322: 2. TV of 55", screen broken. Value: $424.99. 3. TV 75", screen is broken. Value: $1,472.70.  4. Big mirror, the frame is broken and unglued from mirror. Value: $158.31 5. Dell Monitor of 27". Value: $349.99. 6. Brava Jet mop roomba. It was completely soaked in water within a suitecase that was completely soaked as well as if someone left it outside in the rain or dipped it in a pool. The poles are completely corroded and it does not work at all. the base is also corroded and it does not even turn on after I dried it. Value: $370.90. 7. The drawer under my desk apparently took a hit so hard it broke the drawer side panel. Value: $471.92. 8. Microsoft Keyboard was inside the same suitcase that was soaked in water. It does not work at all. Value: $94.99. The company has been rude from the first day and has done a terrible job. On top of that they have been very disrespectful about paying for all of the broken items. DO NOT TRUST YOUR PRECIOUS BELONGINGS (SPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE SENTIMENTAL VALUE) TO A COMPANY THAT WILL BREAK THEM, DISRESPECT YOU AND THEN WEASEL THEIR WAY OUT OF PAYING FOR THE DAMAGES. read more

I used La Rosa del Monte when I moved from the Boston area to Puerto Rico, it was the worst experience of my life. They damaged four major items including my car (which was shipped separately), totaling $8,000.00 in all damages. They compensated me with $300.00 which my husband and I accepted, because going through the Puerto Rican court system is like being in a Banana Republic. La mudanza era para mis suegros ya de edad avanzada, fue recibida el 24 de octubre por mi cunado pero mis suegros no llegaron hasta el 6 de nov. I've been waiting for my stuff to arrive from PR to VA. They told me the shipment would take 6-8 weeks to arrive at my new home but when the shipment arrived at PA they told me it would take another 5 weeks to be delivered. (Its a couple of hours away, 5 weeks is ridiculous) They also told me there's an extra $40 "document charge" that I was never informed about, and that it has to be paid in cash. This business is sketchy and hard to reach. I'm scared to receive my things broken given the record of the comments on here. read more
