I have been waiting for someone from this company who actually knows something to contact me and explain things to me. I sent my furniture and personal belongings to Puerto Rico. I was told that the move would take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive well it arrived early. Now due to health issues I have not arrived in Puerto Rico yet. I have spoken to Patricia Bonilla from Orlando office and she can't really do much. She said that she spoken to the PR office and told them to contact me. I have called and left messages for Francesca and I have never heard from her. I need to get information regarding my move. The company sent a letter to my brothers address in PR saying that my move arrived. Merchandise left 2/28/2023 and letter was sent 3/17/2023 If someone were to contact me they would know that I am not in PR. I called and requested that someone send me an email telling me what it is I will need to pay since I am going to have to pay. We are PCSing to California. Hey these guys have been amazing today! Helped me out so much as i am doing this by myself with two kids and two small dogs. Husband is at school at the moment. I am ver OCD so i labeled what not to pack etc... what room not to go in. I know they must have been a bit scared of me because i made sure they all new what was labeled not to pack and what room to not even think about touching the door to haha. Two army parents can be a good and bad thing haha. The day is going and I missed one important well two important pieces to add to the do not pack room. My kids TABLETS?! I was frantically looking through my no pack room, i then went down stairs to retrace my steps where i put them and when i saw the guy packing the book shelf's... it dawned to n me i put them in there! I was about to rip open all the boxes he packed lol. He looked up and said hey i put your tablets on that table i had a feeling they should not be packed i legit almost cried, he didn't have to do that ( & yes i for real Almost cried because that's just how i am lol) i thank d him please profusely and hugged him tight and long which I'm sure he enjoyed but i made it awkward for him lol. Great guys, dancing, singing to salsa, petting my dogs talking to me and my kids. La Rosa del Monte - Gaurd dogs - Movers Near Me - Toa Baja, Puerto Rico

I had some household stuff shipped from Puerto Rico to Chicago in the end of august 2021. I was a bit worried considering the reviews but I did receive all my items in Chicago and all in tact by October 2021. It was a little delayed but due to Covid it was expected. Then a couple of months later I shipped my vehicle from Puerto Rico to Chicago and I was super excited and pleased as it came sooner than expected - about 4 weeks sooner! I did have great customer service in Puerto Rico and have no complaints about them. I do however have one small complaint for the chicago location. They did some damage to my tow cover. When it arrived in chicago, they had to move it by tow, and the cover was completely off when I went to pick it up and it looks like they didn't know how to properly open it and so they pried it open leaving some damage and scrapes to it. Luckily the cover was found in the yard by one of the workers, so I was able to put the cover back on. I didn't buy additional insurance from la Rosa del monte and the insurance that's included offered $150 for damages. The claim process is pretty simple, but the price to repair is about $1000 retail price. So the insurance is very minimal, but other than that, I have no other issues. I definitely would use them again and will recommend. It's too bad they have such low ratings and the bad reviews can scare a lot of people away. read more

California to San Juan Nightmare Giving this company a 1 star is being generous, if I could put no stars I would. This company for one held my house hold goods for over a month and a half. They continued to give reason after reason as to why they held my delivery. I provided everything that was asked and still resulted in a delayed delivery. This company has in their possession today May 6th 2021 my motorcycle, and will not release it. I continued to ask the girl Iris why the delay and she continued to tell me that Hacienda would not respond to her emails. I have since been in touch with Hacienda and all they need is a Bill of Landing which La Rosa Del Monte has to provide but they won't respond to any of the emails that I copy them on. I called today, keep in mind that it's now been two months and 6 motorcycles later. Yes they have 6 servicemember motorcycles because they are not doing their parts to get them delivered. Makes you think that they just want to get a storage check $$$ at the end of the day. I called Iris today and her excuse is that her manager is always on vacation or never in the office. Then she went so far as to laugh at me in my frustration on the phone today May 6th 2021. I told her that the situation wasn't a laughing matter and she told me stop being so serious. Poor damn customer service at its best. Who laughs at a servicemember let alone a customer who just wants in belonging. This company should never be used for any servicemember for any PCS'ing matter anywhere in the world. Do not use this company! They literally destroyed my home tearing up the walls with holes and putting a 7 inch huge gash on my luxury vinyl floor at the entrance door. I emailed the significant damage photos to them. Movers refused to pack items they were paid to do, for which I was supposed to get my packing fee back. So my daughter had to pack the box while the movers were there destroying my house. Have not responded to any of my calls, emails or corporate contacts since April 2021. They just say someone will call you back which, I have not gotten one call back. I still do not have my belongings from them since April 2021 ( today is June 12, 2021) which I am sure are damaged due to the significant holes that were put on my walls and flooring. This is the horrible service you get when you pay this company over $5000.00. Also please don't be fooled by some of the company's response to other complaints requesting the person to email support; as I emailed that exact email in May 2021 and never got a response. I have been very patient and have given this company multiple chances to make this right but they have not and at this point i feel they refuse to. I know I have moved away from my dear Maconco a.k.a Puerto Rico. I have lived away plenty of times so I know how painful moving is regardless of the excitement or the nostalgia. Let me tell you... Service like this WILL encourage you to leave the island sooner and even forget about bringing anything with you. I felt like simply calling like Good Will or the Salvation Army and leaving everything behind. I have lived two years in Tampa. However, there is still some memorabilia and art I must bring back. I don't remember what is that house anymore... too many garage sales during my absence... Too many friends asking me for this or that... After holding on the phone close to forever, a man answered. He asked the exact weight (in tons---mind you, I don't know how much I weigh unless I step on the scale) I was meant to be bringing. He also assured me that if it was less that $1,000, the company was not interested. It would take weeks to be picked up from the house. No wonder CNN keeps announcing the massive exile of Puerto Ricans (forget the bad economy, it is service and idiosyncracy such as this that encourages emigration to anywhere else.) After I tried to empatheticaly explain my problem (No, I don't have a way to weigh each box even if I was indeed in the island), I assured him that the bill would be bigger than $1,000. For the years that they have been in business, this company's customer service is the worst and frankly. sucks; they need more competition. Once they send your shipment and it is received, it becomes an adventure and aggravation to speak to a human being at this company. The phone calls are seldom answered directly and when they have you on hold for minutes, gets get disconnected (conveniently) on their end. They do not have the basic courtesy of returning your calls. After 10 phone attempts, your only recourse is to file a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General 's Consumer Bureau or just show up physically. You call one office and they say the other office has it and when you call they stay they don't have the container with your stuff. No one calls back, they take 2 hour lunches and their excuse is that the virus has delayed the shipment. This company offers the worst movers experience in the market today, from their horrible customer experience and attitude to the extremely long delays for deliver and excuses for their bad service. Moving with them has been the greatest pain of my relocation. They cannot follow simple instructions or timelines, the do not understand that apartment complexes have scheduled delivery times and they think that they can disregards HOA rules. When asked to confirm information with regards to delivery instructions they take the attitude of asking you who did you talk to and telling you that whomever helped you gave you the wrong information. First of all, I would not AT ALL recommend shipping ANYTHING to Puerto Rico; whether it be household goods or cars. With regard to household goods, if you do not buy additional insurance against damage or loss, they are only obligated to pay a ridiculous $135 per claim. The team in New York (Bronx) tossed my boxes around like sacks of potatoes. It's no small wonder that I received them at the Puerto Rico end damaged, broken, if not missing. Because of this COVID-19 B.S., they just shut down for 2 months and didn't bother to update customers on their web page. No one answered phones. I finally got an answer when I posted a negative comment on their Facebook page. When you receive your HHG, you must inventory that all the boxes have arrived and notify the crew on delivery or no more than 3 work days after. I had a couple missing boxes, as well as items missing from the boxes (shoes, clothing, a large framed wedding picture), a wardrobe box of women's clothing, another of women's shoes, among other items. With regard to shipping cars to Puerto Rico, the devil is in the details. I dropped off my vehicles at the Bronx site about March 3, and they didn't arrive until early June. Although I dropped them of at the same time, they were not unloaded together. $3400 to ship both, but because of gross mismanagement and corruption, the Puerto Rico government is broke (73 BILLION in debt) and looking to get money out of people (you and I) any way they can. I was charged $7828 import taxes for one vehicle (a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and $2800 for another (a 2016 Honda Civic), plus another invented fee of $45 (also for Taxation) per vehicle when you pick it up. And get this: I was also charged late fees by the Puerto Rico Department of Taxation for the vehicle being on the docks so long, when it was THEY (the Puerto Rico government) who decided to shut everything down because of COVID-19. I was advised to wait until the government resumes operations and file a claim with the Taxation Department (right, I won't see that refund in my lifetime). This was not the fault of La Rosa Del Monte, but it added insult to injury. Bottom line: Ship NOTHING to Puerto Rico and buy all new stuff down here. But far too many things missing and broken out of my household goods, so I would not recommend La Rosa Del Monte under any circumstances. read more

This is absolutely the worst moving company. We lost most of our belongings in hurricane MARIA in PUERTO RICO and have decided to start a new life in North Carolina. Its been over 2 months since they picked up whats left and we have yet to receive our shipment. We feel as if we are still living in the afternath of Maria. We are a family that struggles like every other but this company can care less that we sleep on the floor,that we can sit on a comfy chair to have dinner, that we watch the news. I am sooooo disgusted with the poor service from what i believed was the best choice. We want our belongings asap. I will never ever recommend this company to anyone. I will report them to bbb. Before you decide to use Rosa del Monte be aware of the following: your belongings will probably be damaged and you will have to pay for it yourself, even if you had insurance!!! Rosa del Monte does not accept liability for poor workmanship and the insurance does not cover that because there is a deductable. So this is how it works in reality: Workers from Rosa del Monte throw your items in a box (even glass items are not wrapped), hammer your wooden table with glued joints into pieces, etc. Do not believe you will get reimbursed for these damages because Rosa del Monte does not accept claims for damages caused by poor workmanship and re-directs you to the insurance company which does apply a deductable so you are the one ending up paying for lack of professionalism on behalf of Rosa del Monte. We moved from California and also stored out furniture for a remodel right before Hurricane Irma. Even after communications were back up, we could not get them to respond to us. Our goods were wet, many things damaged and some items lost. They refused to respond to us. Their excuse was that so many people were leaving Puerto Rico that they were very busy. i was very hesitant to use this company due to all the bad reviews and reputation in PR. I used them since there was no other company to move me to Northern New England from Puerto Rico. Much to my delight, they came on time, courteous, tidy, and very fast packers. I had no problems with customer service and the person who came to inventory the move even helped with another issue. Move arrived in 6 weeks, not bad considering the distance. Really very pleased with their service. I did book thru Unipack so that might have been the difference. read more

When packing my items in New York they didn't charge me to go up and down the stairs mind you this was a lot of stairs I lived in the 3rd floor. Everything was fine now in Puerto Rico that was a complete different story 2 days before I got my stuff the company called me letting me know of my appointment for the men to bring my stuff. I had informed them that the previous address I put down wouldn't be the address to send my stuff (I just bought a condo). I proceed to tell the lady (her name is Janice) that it is only one flight of stairs which in turn she said it was ok not to worry. Fast forward 2 days one of the movers said that they are going to have to charge us to bring our stuff upstairs. I in turn said why didn't the lady notify me when I spoke to her. So I called the company and she told me how many stairs is it I counted 17. The gentleman that worked for them said anything after 18 they will charge. But the lady (Janice) said 5. So why then would she made me count the stairs for no reason if she knew 17 would be too much. So I said whatever I'll pay it by check (The same way I was going to the company the same way I paid in New York.) she said "no it has to be an extra $215 in cash!." I know for a fact the money was going to the movers. Not only that They asked for extra money that they shouldn't have gotten. They also stole a box and a couple of extra items I'm missing that I new for a fact that I packed. Just to let you know I paid $9600 so that I could have a container to myself so this problem wouldn't happen because they told me once I purchase the container for myself it would not be opened until it gets to my place. Would give them 0 stars,I packed my own stuff moved from Nebraska to Puerto Rico,most of my boxes came all broken they were taped pretty good and really wrapped with lots of tape all around and marked,the boxes were missing some items and when I filed a claim as per the employee that delivered the boxes instructed me to do, not only had to be calling every two weeks when finally got a response they emailed me stating that "I'd packed my own stuff" they were not responsible for lost items I told them when I called there office I was Not told that and how can they tape the broken boxes and not put back inside whatever came out of these boxes that doesn't belong to whomever took them, in my world this is stealing. And I'm talking about a $100.00 dollar tool set I even sent pictures of the marked broken box,they never took care of this matter,me and family have use this company for many years and trusted them till now none of us will never do business with them again and Not recomend them as well to anyone. I was skeptical to use their service when I saw few bad reviews but all I can say is that I received a great service transporting 10 boxes from P.R. to Marietta GA. I received and opened the boxes yesterday and all 10 boxes came in perfect conditions. Prior the delivery, I called the office in P.R. and I was told to call the office in Orlando which I did. I was told that the manifest will be arriving in a week an half. I did call during that time and I was told that the day before someone will be calling me to confirm my address in GA. I did receive that call and the delivery was completed yesterday. So as you can see, I had the expectation that the delivery will take in between 6-8 weeks. I was able to speak to two agents and properly informed about the status. That I was the luckiest one.. don't know, but I got the service I was expecting. read more

After waiting for 3 weeks to hear back from them, I called and was told they still did not know where my property was. They told they would follow up in 1-2 weeks- Nothing. I asked for a supervisor and was told supervisors do not take calls from customers. IN WHAT WORLD do supervisors not take calls from customers. I spoke to an incredibly rude person by name of Annabelle that basically denied me speaking to anyone else. I had to call the receptionist 3 times to have her finally transfer me to the general manager. The manager was nice enough, but is obviously still lacking, since his employees provide terrible customer service. Mind you, if I had not called back irate, they would not have done ANYTHING. Needless to say they concluded they lost my furniture and they are reimbursing me $300 for a TV stand that cost me $500. I understand there are not many options when bringing your possessions with you to Puerto Rico, but I would really look for someone else - ANYBODY else. These people have zero respect for my property and did not even show any empathy (except for the manager). Please note that the claims manager (the one who was responsible for my claim) Edwin Quintero, never had the decency to call me back. Ricardo Martinez (general manager), on the other hand, did. I wonder if corporate reads these, or even cares. It's extremely sad and frustrating that in this day in age companies are still providing terrible service, getting paid for it, and getting away with it all. In case they forgot, we are sending items that not only cost us money, but that also have sentimental value. There are so many people that do not have jobs here in Puerto Rico, and this company has these buffoons working for them - SAD. read more

So far LRDM are doing an excellent job. At this moment when this COVID19 its doing damage on everything and everywhere we know that LRDM are doing the best they can. When they were picked up our items from our house in Puerto Rico they were on time and worked very professional and fast. All the boxes that we wrote FRAGILE were picked with precaution. We still have more items to be send to our location, but its just a matter of a call (what they respond quickly). We thank the staff at the Toa Baja, Puerto Rico office, specially to Mr. Roberto Rivera. We don't have any negative thing to say about him. When i have a question about our shipment, we called him and he answered every single one of it. He were very helpful in the process of our shipment. Thank you Mr. Rivera! We appreciate all your hard work and your business. We recommend this company at a 100%. The customer service is really bad. They tell you to call to follow up on your move and when you call they tell you to call again the following week. They kept this up for 4 weeks until we told them that we were going to show up with the police because they were not returning our property. Finally they told us that our shipment was being audited by customs and we had to pay an extra $400 from which we requested to see paperwork or evidence that it was true. When we finally got our belongings everything had a horrible smell and was dusty, as if they do not clean the containers. There do exist better companies out there, I suggest you go with a direct shipping company that has their own ships. The service will be faster and better customer service. read more

If you have a chance look at their FB page and you will see so many bad reviews. The funny part is that they will copy & paste the same paragraph asking for details to see what went wrong but trust me that they would not do anything more. No matter the value of your things, it could be over $600 and they will give you a maximum refund of $60. Not only that the boxes come filled with mold and everything damaged and wet, so it makes you think in what shithole they throw your things in. And to make things funny once the driver arrives after almost 2 months they will charge you a fee to unload it. That part did not make sense since I payed everything before hand. Then they will say that if you don't pay them that fee they will bring it back later but will charge you $300!!!!!! Seriously, don't dare using this company.
