I am new to Baton Rouge and was referred to La Rouge by a friend. My dip always comes out amazing. It lasts over a month. Every time I walk in without an appointment there is no wait. The dip cost $42, which is low compared to other places I have been. The quality is wonderful here. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I would recommend this place to a friend. Nope. I do not recommend this place. The only reason for two stars and not one was that my manicurist gave a great leg massage. We walked in and it was immediately and noticeably hot. There were several oscillating fans going, but that just made it seem more hot somehow. The selection of colors was smaller than anywhere else I have been. The spa pedi chair was nice, but they did not use a liner. Later, when I saw them wash down my friend's tub, the woman gave it a cursory swish with a rag and a spritz of Lysol. Not gonna cut it. Like I mentioned, my guy was good. His pedi was neat and looks great. His leg massage was on point. Sadly, my friend at the next chair did not receive any massage or lotion! We paid for the same type of spa pedi. She was really disappointed. I saw the lady (the same one who "washed" the tub next to me) clean the tools she'd used on my friend. She used a bristle brush and no soap. Hopefully they will go in a sterilizer later. No frills. No consistency. No recommendation. read more

This place was great! After having a bad experience down the street, a friend and I stopped to La Rouge to try it. It was packed but well worth the wait. We were very comfortable and were offered water and chocolates for Easter. The guy that did my pedicure as well as the woman who did my friends both did a great job. My friend also got a gel manicure that came out fabulous. Everyone working there was very personable. I'll be back. read more

I never write reviews, usually only read them. Felt it was necessary to advise anyone looking for a nail salon in the Baton Rouge area, stay away from this place. My experience: When I walked in, a lady asked how she could help me, I then stated what service I wanted along with notifying her I had a gift card. The 3 employees then acted like I was the last of their worries just because I had a gift card. After waiting for an hour, the lady then called me to the table to get started. She had a mouth full of food and grease from the food on her hands WHILE filing my nails!!! She was on her cell phone while she was servicing me so she didn't hear how long I said I wanted my nails. When done filing, I asked her to go shorter, she said "oh my god" and rolled her eyes at me. Another lady then came to me to paint my nails. She asked me why I wanted my nails shorter, I said "I told the other lady twice, she was on her phone so I guess she didn't hear me" & this lady waived her finger in my face and called me "Rude." If I didn't have a gift card there, I would've walked out after waiting an hour on a Tuesday at 2:30 pm. read more

The service here is amazing. Manicure with a very long hand/arm massage. Pedicure with a really deep leg massage. Wonderful!

I made an appointment but while I was there several ladies walked in without one and were helped immediately. Tee did my nails and did an outstanding job; she took her time and made sure everything is the way I wanted. Everyone there was accommodating and never rushed their customers. It takes a lot for me to right a review but this nail shop has gotten on my last nerve. This is utterly rediculous. I have been to this shop a few times and every time it's something new. You need an appointment. The person that does ombré is not there. The persons that is there can't to acrylic or the person there can't do dip. It's always something. Then when the stars a-line and they can do what you want. They are rude as can be and has to say "that cost extra" with everything. I get my nails done EVERY 2 week like clock work. I know what is extra. If don't ask that's because I am not new to this honey. I know! I will say they do a good job and the nails last, that's why I have tried to go when I can get to that side of town. However this will be my last try and no more referrals from me. I am done with waisting my time and my gas! read more

Horrible service! So many nail places in Baton Rouge stay out of this place! I went in for a spa pedicure, lasted maybe 30 minutes. The place is a mess. Within that 30 minutes the woman found time to eat and text constantly. She cut my toe nails and cuticles way to short to where they are still bleeding the day after and she did a horrible job painting my toes. I literally have no paint on the sides of the nail only the top! I paid $30 for service of a child and I'm in pain. read more

I LOVE La Rouge ! I have been coming for a year to Tim for my nails! He does an excellent job & I love how well they hold up ! I get compliments all of the time, even when it's been 3 weeks since I have been ! He does a French Manicure with the Acrylic for me ! They also do dip & pedicures ! Super sweet family owned business ! So thankful for Tim! The previous place I used: my nails would turn yellow & no sheen after a week ! Not with La Rouge ! I've really been going back and forth on posting this but I finally decided to. I wanted a full set, and came in an hour before closing. My nails were rushed and bumpy, and I told her the electric file was hurting me but she didn't stop and cut my cuticle. After I was bleeding everywhere she wiped it off with her bare finger and put a drop of antiseptic on it. I was so shocked, I asked her for a bandaid so I could leave and she said "no no it's fine" as I'm still bleeding. None of the tools were pulled from an autoclave, or sanitized after my blood was on them. She just put them back in the drawer, no alcohol or anything. I am so disgusted, and shocked. I will never be back, and strongly advise anyone reading this to go somewhere else. read more

I was in Baton Rouge for business and needed a manicure & pedicure pretty badly - noticed this place on my way to dinner and walked in the next day. It was a Tuesday and there was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! Annie did my toes and then had a scheduled appointment come in - she did such a good job that I decided to wait for her to finish that and then do my gel manicure. One of the best manicures I've ever gotten and they look absolutely perfect. I will definitely go back - Annie does an excellent job! read more
