I had work in Nola so came back on Tuesday before I headed to an event. The young man at the desk (not Kevin) said it would be about 45 mins until someone could assist me. I didn't have that kind of time so I left. I returned today just after they opened after attending a yoga class about 10 mins away. Today, Kevin told me it would be a 25 min wait. + time to be serviced....I sat in here last week for an extended amount of time I don't wanna sit here again that long - MOSTLY because I have places to be! I was in between appointments and needed a dip/SNS manicure fast, and that's exactly what I got! I came in on a Wednesday at 2 and there was no wait and I was out within 45 minutes. I already had the dip/SNS on my nails from a previous appointment, but my nail tech took it off so fast. Normally, the nails have to soak for what feels like forever, but not at this salon. This time, I went with a very light yellow. The color is perfect for back to school. She only dipped them twice, I would have loved a third dip to make it thicker, but they are still perfectly on my nails two weeks after my appointment. Got a dip manicure and picked out my color, and Nathan started putting the wrong color on, just straight sparkle with nothing under it. I questioned it nicely and he said he usually puts bubble bath under it, and I asked if he could please do that (even though it still was not the color I asked for). I said I didn't want it to be see through, and yet my nails are still see through and not the color I asked for. Then went to the register to pay, and they charged me extra for no change shape. You have to be on top of them to get the style the way you requested. Been here twice and there's always a mix up in communication between the person in the front and those working on your services. They quote you with one price and the price at checkout is always vastly different. When trying to get understanding, the receptionist tends to direct their frustrations toward the customers. I have very mixed feelings about this place. It's very clean and beautiful inside but my pedicure was extremely subpar. Her long nails were scratching me during the "massage", which wasn't really a massage. Didn't rub the oil in at all, and spent maybe 10 seconds "scrubbing" my feet. She also just dropped the oil on my toes and didn't rub it in which left my feet really oily and my shoes, but maybe that's customary, never happened to me before but maybe get a different technician than Allyssa. Well my experience at this salon was great. It's really pretty inside and clean. You have to have a mask on to enter. My nail tech was Huey. Let's just say he's good with his hands. I had a 10 min neck massage for $20 felt like I was on the table in a private room with aromatherapy candles burning. Until, a customer broke my thoughts saying she needs a massage also! Any I enjoyed my experience it's a little pricey than my regular nail salon but doable. I'll definitely be back for that shoulder and neck massage. read more

What an unfortunate experience this was. I went in to get my nails done for my wedding, and I showed the lady a picture and she said she could do it. You can clearly tell which one was the pic I showed her and which one was what she did. This was $65.... I didn't even get my hands or arms massaged. I left so mad and went down the street to a nail salon that took care of me and made my wedding nails beautiful. The lady at the 2nd nail salon was so particular and not in a rush (unlike the first). I love this place and was so glad that Vi was able to give me my manicure and pedicure. Getting pampered during COVID was the last thing on my mind. What better place to get these services done at than the Venetian Nails Spa. For someone who almost got married at the Venetian (in Las Vegas), this nail salon definitely tickled my fancy. The decor reminds me so much of that Las Vegas hotel/casino. I love the dark purple colors and the chandeliers that hang from the interior under the "sky" ceiling. Vi got me started in the pedicure chair, so I got treated to a chair massage, while getting my toesies done. Immediately after that, I moved over to the manicure table and my handsies got some TLC. A beautiful facility with high end , well everything! It's always nice and quiet in here, and the music isn't to loud. The pedicure rooms each have 8 chairs each and 1 large tv, gold curtains, purple walls and a dazzling Chandler! In the main hall the ceiling are Arched and are painting to look like the sky and then adorned with a giant gold Chandler. There is even a small waterfall. If you look at the pictures, you can see that she didn't even bother to wipe off the extra powder that had now stuck to my fingers after she put polish on them. Once she finished putting the top coat on, she simply said "okay go wash your hands. After you wash your hands, your done." Um... I've never been told to "wash my hands" in a nail salon before? What if I was going to an event right after... this lady expected me to just there with stains on my fingers? She didn't put moisturizer on my hands or cuticle oil. You can't really tell in the pictures, but my nail tech managed to get the red powder into the silver nails and in person there is a very obviously red tint on the silver nails. I hate to update my review, but honestly this shop is not the same. I received a terrible manicure here. I am giving my nails a break from dip powder, so I got a basic manicure. The manicurist talked on the phone through her AirPods the entire time. She stopped mid manicure many times. It was definitely a rushed job. She spent less than ten minutes on my entire manicure. The polish is extremely sloppy. It looks as if a child polished my nails. She left nail polish all over. It was not worth the price at all. Before leaving I asked to at least have the polish removed from around my fingers. I was told I had to wait. I waited for about five minutes and no one came. I would have waited longer but it seemed like no one wanted to help me, as I could see employees just idly looking at me. The only time the manicurist spoke to me was to tell me she had been at work since 9:00 and she works six days a week. My appointment was for 6:00. I completely understand being tired; however, I paid for service so that's the service I should receive. I do not receive a discount when nail techs are tired. I'm expected to pay the full price. Therefore, I should receive the full service for the full price. I'm not sure if it's a management issue that's causes nail techs to work long hours, or if it was just this particular nail tech. Time to find another nail salon...I went in for a regular manicure and Emily rushed through the whole process. She soaked my nails but didn't use the cuticle lotion when she clipped my cuticles. That was the first clue. She didn't ask me to wash my hands at any point. She quickly started to paint my nails. She wasn't painting them to the cuticle and I asked her to. The result was horrible. I was really excited about trying this nail salon for the first time I was very disappointed, my gel nail came out very bumpy and when I asked for it to be fixed I feel like they revenge filed my nails down all the way to the nail bed and turned my would be healthy nails into thin brittle little chips of nails. I was offered a drink as soon as I sat down, and Tamara asked what I wanted and talked to me about shape and nail thickness so that we were both on the same page. The salon itself is classy, calm, and modern. Tamara took great care to make sure all my nails matched perfectly and that the finish was top notch. I cannot recommend her enough! I really wanted to love this place but I'm pretty disappointed. I paid $45 for dip powder which is pretty standard, but is high for the quality of the service I received. First of all, my nails were not shaped before the dip powder was applied. I figured they would be shaped after (especially since it was applied way thicker than normal) and they were hardly touched. I had two nails that were completely crooked because they were cut on an angle, which I had to ask my tech to fix. These nails are very thick and bumpy, smudged in several areas, and way thicker than my actual nail bed. There was a ton of residual dip around my nails and underneath them, which I have since scraped off. Not the worst I've seen, but far from the best and I will probably not return. read more
