This spot is nice and the ambiance was great. We were greeted upon arrival and quickly checked in. The set up was amazing and the decore was nice.. Lyna was awesome. She gave me the menu , set my area up and offered something to drink. She did a great job on my nails and my toes. There were so many colors to choose from. I got the short, coffin shape with gel and gel on my toes. Y'all know I'm picky when it comes to my nails and the shaping. Like I've said before if it isn't t broke don't fix it. Well I had an issue and had to find some where different... I'm glad there were no limitations in her work. I told her what I wanted and she said I am so that. Everyone else complained or stated my nails had to be a certain length because they just COULDN'T do a short coffin shape. The prices were a little sooo for all the ads on but if you want what you want I guess you gonna pay it anyway lol. It was easy to set an appointment. It was very peaceful an just laid back. Frequent customer at this nail salon, and while I usually have great experience here, this visit was a bit off-putting. Before coming in, I called to ask if they were accepting walk-ins, and I was told yes. However, when I arrived, the receptionist asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, she told me they weren't taking walk-ins due to a limited number of technicians. I feel like this was something they should have mentioned over the phone instead of having me come all the way there just to be turned away. Went here for a mani/pedi with my guy. He wanted to go somewhere that offered more privacy as it's been a while since his feet have been catered to. I decided on Bichonne after reading several Yelp reviews. I scheduled the appointment over the phone quickly and easily. When we arrived for our appointment, the salon was extremely busy but they took us right away. Nathan worked on my mani/pedi and Hannah worked on my guy's mani/pedi. They were great! Such fun personalities and spectacular service. They did not rush our services and allowed us to have an enjoyable time. Throughout our services they checked in on us to make sure that we were comfortable, that I liked the polish color, etc. The salon is clean, inviting, intimate layout and offers free beverages. I look forward to returning and definitely after covid restrictions go away so that I can get a free adult beverage with my services. Started coming there with Lisa- until she moved and she was great! Recently went Oct. 17th to get a simple pedicure and acrylic design (see pic below). The pedicure was AMAZING- the acrylic job was a disaster. First, she recommended dip when I told her acrylic will probably be best. After trusting her judgement, the nails looked horrible. Ken tried to fix it, even saying she should have done acrylic. I paid and left upset- called later to express my disappointment and the owner said "no refunds but we'll redo them for free". A day later, I called to agree but didn't have a rescheduled date- Lena didn't explain ANYTHING about a policy. Called today to get them done and the receptionist said "our policy is you only have 7-14 business to get them done for free". Why didn't Lena explain this the first time? I asked to speak to the owner and she did not talk to me- just asked the receptionist to repeat her response. I didn't even argue afterwards- just don't spend here. read more

I had great first experience here at Bichonne Nails. My two techs did a fantastic job. I was asked to push back the time by 30min b/c the pedicure tech was finishing someone else, which was perfectly fine with me. I was very appreciative that they even called instead of having me sitting there waiting. I did not feel like the rushed me at all. It was a very pleasant calm environment especially with COVID. We all wore a mask the entire time. A temperature and hand washing along with a form verifying you had not come in contact with anyone or you yourself didn't have COVID. I got the Deluxe mani/pedi with regular polish. My hands only lasted 1 day with normal hand washing and using gloves in the kitchen. I still rate them a 5 star because of their excellent service. Impressed with this little strip mall nail salon. I'd never noticed it before, and decided to pop in to see if they could accept me without an appointment. (I had used the 'request an appt' option on Yelp, but they never responded). I only had to wait a few minutes before they took me back. The atmosphere was clean and bright. The massage chairs were awesome and they gave me a complimentary glass of wine and a warm neck pillow. I chose the pearl mani and pedi which came with all sorts of masks and hot stones and such. All felt wonderful, and the cost even with tip was less than I've paid elsewhere for lesser quality results. I was very happy with my manicure and pedicure. The people here are great and I liked the way the salon was set up. The reason I'm rating it so low is because I always get SNS dip powder manicures and they normally always last me 3-4 weeks (& only need to be re-done because they grew out). After I got my manicure, one nail chipped that afternoon. I thought, "okay it's just me. Maybe I was being too rough." No... since a week ago I've had 2 nails chip at the top, one nail break in the middle of nail bed which was extremely painful (& now I have to wait for this nail to grow back out..) and another nail break into pieces. I've never had anything like this & and I did not do anything different in my daily life than usual. They don't use the gel clear coat on top so I'm not sure if that's why the nails are weaker but just beware if you do get SNS dip. I think if I just got gel, my experience would have been a lot different. I hope. read more

I really enjoyed my first visit here. It was my first time getting dip and I liked how long it lasted but I didn't like that it was raised above my nail. I came back today. I called ahead and the receptionist told me I could come in as a walk in to get the service I requested. I got here and waited patiently as the receptionist checked out two guests, one of whom walked up to the counter after I'd arrived. When she finished on the phone and with the customers, she attended to me. That took about 15-20 minutes total. Then, I was seated in the pedicure chair for an additional 30 minutes before I left. I called ahead because I wanted to know if they could service me, I gave my eta and the receptionist said that was fine. She did not mention they'd see me an hour later. It didn't happen the first time I came but it was super annoying. Wasted over an hour of my time driving there and waiting. Wish I'd gone somewhere else. Will not be back. read more

This is pretty new nail salon located off Perkins Road near Matherines. I have been looking for a place for spa pedicures that provides a relaxing environment, a variety of pedicure options, a good pedicure and won't break the bank since I moved to BR in May. After the experience I had at Bichonne, I can say my search is over. This place is gorgeous and immaculate. The lobby rivals that of some hotels I've stayed at. The manicure bar and pedicure rooms are equally as opulent. It is the cleanest nail salon I've been too. There are several pedicure packages to choose from. Express up to a deluxe mani pedi combo pack called the Pearl. I chose the Deluxe pedicure. 50 min of foot pampering just called to me. There are two pedicure areas: one for the express and one for classic and up. The main difference is that the express area does not have massage chairs. After taking my chair and getting the water started in the bath (in a fully lined basin) I was offered my choice of beverage. WHAT!?! A complimentary beverage with my pedicure was the cherry on the sundae. I was given my Mimosa, the massage chair started and the feet pampering began. All I can say is WOW. This was great pedicure. Foot/leg scrub, warm towel massages, mask, foot massage....Everything felt great. They also used sanitized tools that came in a little plastic pack. I left with very cute sandal ready pink toes that felt soft and smelled good all for around $50. Looking forward to me next foot pampering day! read more

I'm only down in the area for two months. I was looking for a place that was nice but relatively cheap. When you walk in, it looks completely upscale. I got just a regular manicure and a deluxe pedicure. They also offer complimentary wine, soda, and water. For the price I paid I was extremely happy with the results. I absolutely love Bichonne Nail salon! As a male I am extremely meticulous about my manicures and pedicures as is wife. We have never had a negative experience at this salon EXCEPT..... the front desk lady/secretary, Misha, is beyond incompetent. We are frequent customers of this salon and she CONSISTENTLY acts as if she's never seen us in her life. I went today and got dip on my fingers and a classic pedi. Cindy did my fingers and overall I'm very happy. She talked me into getting dip over a full set. She seemed to know what she was talking about. They are thicker than I prefer. But I'm hopeful they will last 3 weeks like she said they would. The overall experience was great. They were polite and professional. They spoke English and understood what I wanted. Cindy was very helpful and willing to do what needed to be done to make me happy. Dip nails were $50 and the classic pedi was $50. Extra $15 for gel (I did not get gel). Overall I paid $100 plus tip. The pedi was very basic. Overpriced in my opinion. I will try to remember and come back with an update on how they wear. They have rooms for the manicures. They seat up to 2 people. But I was alone. Very clean and private. I went here on a recent trip to BR. Used to be a fan... this time my mani flaked off after just 2 days and the pedi polish lasted barely a week. Also my mom had made both our appts at 9 and they sat her in the pedi chair and left her waiting almost an hour. She is in her 80s. So she is super patient--not. We kept asking what was up and didnt get a clear explanation. We had other appts after. Finally a woman showed up and did my mom's pedi. We moved our next appt to later. My polish seemed to have been done by someone who didnt know what they were doing tho--to last such a short time. I would never go back. I just spent over an hour waiting for manicure and pedicure. I was totally okay waiting but after 30 minute the front desk girl came to tell me a technician was finishing up polish and will be with me. I waited another 15 min still nothing. I went up to the front after 15 min and they acted like they had no idea who I was. I finally just said I was leaving and at that moment 2 technician suddenly became available. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to write a review but I have a baby at home and I had a babysitter just for this and had a gift card but being upfront that it'll be more than an hour wait would've been much better than making me wait just for me to not be able to get anything done because I had to go home to relieve the babysitter. My gel nails were lumpy and chipped less than a week. The technician even said that I had baby fingers!!! I mean what kind of statement is that? My pedicure was so bad I went home and had to fix it. This last time I waited for over an hour before they even started work! Then my actual manicure polish was terrible and polish all over my fingers. What a relaxing experience! I stopped in shortly after they opened and was told it would be an hour and a half wait. I was offered a text if I didn't want to stick around and wait and I gladly accepted because I had some other errands to run. When I was done with my errands, I headed back and lo and behold had just received a text to return! As soon as I walked in, I was promptly escorted back to a private manicure room for my dip nail. My tech Kim was professional and very knowledgeable - walking me through every step of the dip procedure, as I had no clue what to expect. After she finished the process for the initial color that I picked, it was a little too light colored with my skin tone so she offered to do one more dip with another color and it was perfect! My pedicure tech, Pauline, was also fantastic - very patient with my poor dry and knotted feet and when she was finished I felt silky smooth and VERY relaxed. Overall, this is a different salon experience than I'm used to and it was a great upgrade. It was slightly more expensive than other salons I've visited, but you definitely get a service and quality level above and beyond other salons in BR. I will be back! read more

When asked if they could take me she said there were 2 tickets ahead of me. I asked what does that mean? An hour? How many techs are working? She said there are 3 technicians working and when they are done they will get a ticket. Like I wouldn't understand that. I said does that mean an hour or hour and a half. She said at least an hour. First time was great. We has an appointment and the service was wonderful. Second time we did not have an appointment. Called ahead of time gave specifics and was told we could come first come first serve. That was fine and expected. Upon arrival, we stood at the desk with five people behind it. Two looking at a screen facing the wall (would glance back every once in a while). One person standing by the desk. One person was helping a guest and one was staring at the screen while the other assisted the guest. The lady assisting the guest said she would be with us in a moment, so we stood there for about 10 minutes (not an exaggeration), being patient while the guest was being assisted. Once she left, the lady behind the desk looked up and told us they did not have any spaces but they could schedule us for 2:30 p.m. That it's best to schedule in advance. I understand that they were booked. But to have us stand there when they knew there was no space available and any one of the other four people behind the small desk could have easily relayed that message. I also called in advance and gave specifics. I could have been told that time, we have 2 space avaialbe at 2:30 if you would like to schedule, otherwise chances are we will be unable to see you both. I'm not frustrated that there was no space avaialbe. I am frustrated at the complete lack of customer service. We will not be returning, appointment or not. read more
