There was a large pot of made-from-scratch soup to warm the bones on offer, too. After chatting with the very amiable and knowledgeable French proprietor, I purchased a few different cured meats and a lovely, somewhat stinky cheese. Not only did I leave feeling like I'd had a good interaction, but I'd also left with incredibly tasty food stuffs of good quality. Another employee--a young man--remade the coffee, and this time it actually tasted like coffee. However, they didn't replace the Mocha. The person who originally made our coffee had a rude and arrogant attitude, insisting that the coffee was fine in her opinion. From the very beginning, the service was terrible. I live in this area, but I will never step foot in this place again. Avoid this cafe, you'll be extremely disappointed!

There are three floors - whether you want a quiet nook to lose yourself in a book for hours or a place to chat with a group of friends around a table, you'll find the perfect spot. They also boasted things like "My food is better than your food" and "I can kick a soccer ball better than anyone!" but the staff did a good job quieting them up. The guy at the counter was very lovely and from hi I ordered a grilled ciabatta filled with goat cheese, pesto and sun-dried tomato. So going back to the olive oil... they sell it by the half litre and will fill up any bottle you have, as long as it clearly shows the capacity. They also sell beautiful bottles to put the olive oil in. I like to make my own chili and garlic & rosemary oils, so it is ideal for me to re-fill those bottles. I don't love the taste of oils, but this one is really mild and lets the salad / food you're cooking do the talking rather than taking over - which is exactly what I look for in my olive oil. I would highly recommend this gorgeous place and tell you to take your time, spend plenty of time (and money!) getting some real Italian treats.

We sat outside on recycled tables, drinking from re-purposed yoghurt pots (the posh terracotta French kind- not plastic pots!) and admired the selection of tea towels they had for sale.
