We wandered in and out of each booth and found an eclectic selection of items from vintage garb to antique jewelry, books, most reasonably priced. Something I do not like about antiques malls is the inability to have a best price offered or lowered. Yes, the vendor on duty will call and try to reach a dealer for a better price, but it seems they usually offer only 10% if that. Still my friend and I purchased a few items and were happy with our finds. If you like perusing antique malls put Staging Post on your list!

Many of my favorite antiques have come from this charming little place in Helotes. Whenever I stop by B Daddy's BBQ next door, I walk over to Old Town Depot Antiques to see what's new. The selection is vast and includes everything from Victorian-era posh to 1950s small-town Americana. As a spiritualist, I'm particularly drawn to the variety of crystals and tarot card decks. As a WWII enthusiast, I am impressed by the variety of American and German guns, knives, and military paraphernalia. The prices are reasonable, and I've found many bargains, including a set of antique doorstops that...well...I really shouldn't talk about here. I know that last sentence sounds mysterious (because it is), but feel free to contact me If you're curious. I assure you it's an interesting story with an accompanying video. The woman who operates the store is friendly and quick to offer suggestions. Unlike many antique store owners (those presumably mindful of potential shoplifters), she will leave you be and let you enjoy your visit. She has given me several great deals over the last few years, so don't be afraid to negotiate. The one-star reviews on this page are laughable; the staff here are very friendly and accommodating to everyone I've ever seen, irrespective of race or ethnicity. If you sensed "bad vibes," then perhaps that's a reflection on *you*, not your ethnicity. Fans of the feline variety, take note: the shop's true owner is "Rascal," a cute little fellow who, if you're charmed like me, will greet you as you enter the premises. Rascal lived up to his name on a recent visit, as he mugged for my camera (see photos) and followed me around the store to offer insight into the various trinkets behind the counter. Sadly, he is not for sale...though no cat really is for sale; cats own you, not the other way around. Definitely a five-star experience!

Lots of treasures! Easter items, jewelry, trinkets, antique furniture, clothing, a room dedicated to boots ( yes, cowboy boots!), and an outdoor area filled with furniture/pottery just to name a few.... Boysville Auxiliary Thrift is a spot that I frequent a lot. I would say I come to this spot maybe…read morethree or four times a month. It is big and they have a variety of goods to sell. My favorite thrift in the spot is the books. They are very reasonably priced and you can get quite a few or under a dollar, which is pretty impossible in a lot of other thrift stores. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They have a little boutique section in the front where they keep the newer clothing with tags, and more designer wise items. I do think some of their prices are on the higher end, which is disappointing when you're trying to get some affordable items. Clothing, however, it's usually reduced, so along with the books a good purchase. Not so much their purses, and some of their other accessories. It's worth a visit to search through their treasures and find some good thrifts. This is not my favorite thrift store, but it will be some of the goodwill prices in a pinch.
