My own insurance undervalued my vehicle, they didn't care what I had to say, they didn't care what proof of value I had. Progressive sent me a list of comps that were not comps at all, it was a list of 2wd vehicle ( my car was 4wd ) they didn't care what I said or how I said it. I was frustrated, mentally exhausted and becoming overwhelmed by it all. On a Saturday evening I sent provalue a message, they responded quickly and asked me to send my files over to them and they would look at it on Monday morning, I did and Henry called me around noon on Monday and told me I was right, I deserved more, and he would get it for me. It sounded too good to be true, it wasn't. When it was all said and done, thanks to provalue I ended up with 4k more in my bank account, THIS IS AFTER PAYING PROVALUE'S FEES 4k more, its a huge improvement, it makes a difference. I had to request it a couple of times and finally received it over 3-weeks later. The bad: His appraisal came in really low. The house is in great shape, remodeled and received two comps from two separate Realtors that were shocked by his proposal. He was way off and I'd be a fool if I used his numbers. The house could have been cleaner at the time; but we were in the middle of packing. Still a trained eye should be able to overlook it; especially when he is supposed to look at sq footage, upgrades, the area and comparable sales. It felt like a stab in the dark with his number. I made the request that he re-evaluate and consider raising his appraisal to at least the mid-upper range from the eight market comparisons provided within the 3/4-mile radius. On two separate occasions he said he just got back in and would get back to me. He never did and I finally gave up on this guy. This appraisal was a waste of time and money and would go elsewhere for your appraisal needs.
