I was really looking forward to their Boeuf Bourguignon with fresh tagliatelle, but the sauce only seemed to taste like salt and the pasta was not dressed (olive oil or butter) or seasoned at all and was very dry. The description of pizza sounded refreshing, as I was a bit tired of French cuisine at this point in my trip. I don't think a description of pizza does Le Monge justice, as the restaurant is much nicer than simply pizza, and they have lots of other options to try as well (including traditional French). For dinner I selected a small side salad and the campagna pizza which was delicious! It was larger than a lot of the portions I had seen in France before, and certainly large enough to share between two people. It had several kinds of cheese along with prosciutto. The combination of cheeses makes the pizza quite rich and creamy. My husband had the menu selection (which came with an appetizer of 6 escargot, beef bourguignon, and fruits for dessert). He enjoyed his selection as well. I would definitely stop in Le Monge for a meal and expect friendly servers, quick service and great food.
