La Tagliatella was a very pleasant surprise on the final night of my Spain trip. My husband and I were with friends and it seemed like every place we were interested in trying was totally booked (on a Monday night!). We had passed by La Tagliatella earlier in the evening and decided to venture back and ask for a table. We were seated inside and presented with menus. There were some language barriers between our server and our group but we managed to figure them all out and everyone received their drinks as requested. Wine prices were incredibly inexpensive so we enjoyed a couple bottles throughout our dinner. Our friend managed to successfully communicate the ingredients of a negroni to our server and he was pleased with the results. To start, we shared a large salad and margherita pizza. The pizza was on super thin, almost cracker-like crust. It was perfect! The salad was delicious and filled with parmesan crisps, a roasted tomato sort of chutney, walnuts and crispy prosciutto. We each ordered a different pasta and sauce for the main course. Pastas were housemade and you could absolutely tell in the texture and flavor. I had bolognese which was really good, as were all of the other choices. The tortellini casalinga was probably the best dish. I don't typically love tortellini but these were really delicious. We were absolutely stuffed after our entrees and happy to have found a restaurant that was able to seat us and was also quite tasty. I wasn't sure what to expect of an Italian restaurant in Spain but this one really impressed. Worth a stop if you need a break from all the tapas, and wallet-friendly to boot! read more

The staff was very kind and spoke English. The restaurant is really pretty inside but with gas in the heat lamps, quite lovely outside too. Our waitress recommended a couple wines, we chose the Pinot cause we haven't had one yet. It was really tasty! We also got water, a coke, app bread (6 pieces), Caesar salad and Parmesan pizza. We planned to split our salad and pizza and they actually brought serving ware. The salad was excellent and so interesting with the watercress. The pizza toppings were good, a bit salty with the parm and bacon combo. The crust was super thin, like a cracker is thicker. This was the first place to charge is for still water, boo. Pizza pizza pizza and pasta Mia! Found this place from a recommendation from a lady that works at the W hotel that I am staying at. It was only 8 minutes walking distance. We ended up ordering the salmon tartar to start, then their tagliatella pizza, and the tortellini pasta. Every dish was amazing and great portion. It is decently priced. The quality of a Italian pizza was amazing but I do wish it was a bit more crispy and had more cheese. But I was happy with the pizza overall. The tortellini was the best dish. It was stuffed with pork. The sauce that came with the pasta, was to die for. It was not salty, but perfectly balanced in the seasoning and thickness. It was creamy with enough to cover the pasta and not be soup based. 4/5 I ended the meal with the dessert called café gustoso that consist of tiramisu, chocolate truffle, and espresso shot. It was a perfect way to end the lunch. The atmosphere is very well decorated with history of Venice and Italy. This restaurant is a good place for a date. It is two story and they have an outside seating. I would definitely come back here to try their other pizza and pasta. 5/5 read more

The pizza was fantastic! they had so many toppings to choose from but we decided on 4 cheese. Yum! Food was good and location is near the beach. However service was horrible, their serving staff can't get the order correct even when you show them picture from the menu of dish you want (Ragatoni pasta with 4 cheese) and still get it wrong. You get an order of drink at initial after that not a single time waiting staff came to our table for asking drink repeat. For lunch the Carpaccio di vitellone is light, fresh and tasty.Served with a cracker thin pizza/bread I found it a refreshing start. For dinner I started with the Napoletano Carpaccio. A vegetarian dish of mulled fresh tomatoes and home made burrata cheese similar to a caprese salad, I've tasted none better. Pizza was good for lunch, a cracker thin crust light but lacked the intense flavors found in Italian restaurants I've tried in Rome and Florence. The Carbonara, served over the restaurant namesake Tagliatella pasta was nice and cooked perfectly but also not strong in flavor. The portion was enormous for one person. Service was off both times. Night and day experience in this location. Perhaps we were early (way early) by local standards at 630pm, but it's our last meal in town and I thought we liked their other location, let's repeat and try what else is on the menu. Pesto (scoop of it) in the salad was still frozen, the pasta was so dry, the shrimp that's in the pasta was 100x over cooked, it became hard (like it sat in the sun for an hour). It was supposed to have garlic sauce, I found maybe 2 slices of garlic, lol! Needless to say, this location sucked pretty bad. read more

We wandered onto this restaurant as we were walking from the W hotel looking for lunch on our first day in Barcelona. What a nice introduction to Spanish meals. I had risotto which was a bit soupy compared to what I am used to, but it was still very good. The best part was the bread and olives they served as starters.
