This Mexican restaurant is AMAZING! It just became my new favorite suburban Mexican restaurant! The portions are ginormous! The rice is soooo fluffy! They also service American basics, but listen... you're not coming here for American food. My son had been telling me about them for months and he made a believer out of me! The woman taking our order was friendly with a smile also. Well done to you guys I can not WAIT to come back!

A local hidden gem! The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were excellent. Everything was very fresh and high quality. They have a great vegetarian selection, and even have a spot for it on the menu! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food came out very quickly. The dining area was fun and vibrant with lively music! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a hearty, home-cooked meal.

Good tacos at a reasonable price (I think). The receipt isn't itemized, so I'm not sure how much each item cost and if the prices on their website is accurate. Prices based on online menu: Tacos range from $2.50 - $2.75 (another review said they charged $4) - Loaded with meat, good flavor and texture. My hand smelled like tacos all day no matter how many times I wash them. -Tongue -Carne Asada Flautas $2.50 each - I tried the shredded chicken one, not bad, not the skinny rolled flautas I was expecting. It's more like a meat eggroll. Tamale $2 - Tasted better than it looked! Tried the shredded chicken one, would order again. Tres Leches cake $4 - Label says it's from La Mexicana Bakery. Not too sweet nor too soggy. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2022

I never knew this place was here, it hidden behind the midas. I walked in and it pretty big inside. They had Mexican music playing and they have a couple of tvs. I sat down and the waitress asked if I like some to drink and they have four different kinds of Mexican fresh water. I got a maracuyá fresh cold water. The taste was very good. She brought me chips and salsa, I look at the salsa and it was super chunky and I tried it and it had a kick to it and it was good like a ranchero sauce. I ordered goridita de chorizo, steak taco Mexican style, Cesena taco Mexican style, Chile relleno taco plain. I started with cesena taco and the meat was super tender and super juicy and the flavor of it was really delicious. If you don't like onions make sure to tell them because it has sautéed onions. I would say it was my favorite taco. The steak was good but it was well done but the choose of cut of meat was good. The chile relleno was delicious like at home mom style. The gordita was good I would say the chorizo would of beben even better if it was crispy with the cheese. Overall this place is good and would recommend. Staff is super nice, seems family owned. Only thing I didn't like was it was not to clean but it seemed like they had been busy

The mini tacos were decent. The portion size was small but satisfying. The toppings were colorful and fresh. The place was neat and quiet.

Ok, same as it's always been...expensive but it'll do the job. Shrimp tostadas and chimichangas are my favorites there. Friendly staff.

I finally found the right time to try this place, being in the mood for a dine-in Mexican dinner…read more It's a nice place with pleasant servers, and kudos to the guy who filled my water 3 times. I was torn between a chicken mole dinner or just good old tacos. I opted for the tacos Al pastor with rice and beans. I have had Al pastor at many, many places, and it's been interesting to see people's takes on the recipes. These were, hands down, the best I've had anywhere. The meat was charred nicely, yet tender. The marinade/sauce had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the pineapple and the counterbalance of the lime, cilantro, and onion. I was so proud of my selection, that I ordered some to-go for my daughter to try. I also had a delicious strawberry margarita and finished off with a tres leches dessert. Everything was superb! I'll be back for that mole someday, and will also try their Taco Tuesday. Judging from my food, as well as the presentations of others choices that I noticed, I believe their chef is seriously talented and creative.

My wife and I are pretty stuffed right now! I had the quesabirria tacos and she had a spicy shrimp dish with avocado and tortillas. Oh, and we had the nachos with a flight of 5 delicious salsas, as an appetizer. In the end, Orale felt different. It had a city vibe to it. We dug it and will be back for more. Near Hanover Park and in the mood for some Mexican cuisine? Check out Orale!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day... balloons and table arrangements. There is Spanish music playing softly in the background. There is a large tv near the bar area when you first walk in. The waitress let us pick our table and gave us menus to look at along with complementary chips and salsa. The chips are sprinkled with a red powder and the salsa is a green chunky blend... so yummy! She put three different bottled sauces on our table too (see photos) the menu has lots of great options! Something for everyone... kids section too. I ordered the Pozole soup! Oh boy the soup very filling and flavorful. The temperature is just right. The meat is very tender and the beans are nice and chewy (Not hard or soft). This is the best Pozole I have ever had. I will definitely order it again. It came with a stack of crispy corn tostadas, onions, lettuce, and slices of limes! So so yummy! My husband ordered the Fajita Texana (a burrito with steak, chicken, and shrimp) he said the Fajita Texana was very good with all the vegetables and meats mixed together. It marinated well and made the flavor really stand out. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely come back again!

Started off with margaritas--pineapple, mango, and a non-alcoholic one--and the mango was the clear winner. So good. For apps, we got the queso and loaded veggie nachos, and both were fire. The queso was actually really flavorful, not just basic melted cheese. For entrées, I got the Hot Cheeto Burrito, and if you go for one thing, make it this--so, so, so good. We also had the loaded veggie chimichangas and stuffed quesadillas, and everything was packed with flavor. Plus, the portions? Massive. The chimichanga was huge. Ended the meal with fried ice cream and flan, and I was shocked at how good they were since I'd never had either before. Definitely worth it! On top of all that, the staff was awesome--super friendly and welcoming. If you want great food, strong margaritas, and a fun atmosphere, Sammy's is the spot!

Before we ordered we were given chips & salsa which we enjoyed munching down on. We split a taco dinner w/4 charbroiled steak tacos w/beans served in a corn tortilla wrap & rice. Even though the price point of $26 for 4 tacos w/beans & rice is a bit much for the meal the quality was excellent w/very generous portions of charbroiled skirt steak topped w/guacamole, queso fresco, cilantro & onions served on a double corn tortilla (our preference). These tacos were exceptional great flavor & very generous portions of thick cut charbroiled skirt steak. The beans were also excellent& served in a small bowl formed and made from a corn tortilla. The rice was very good & seasoned well. Even though we split we had more than enough & left w/our hunger completely satiated. Overall I felt that this meal was exceptional & will definitely go back again if I'm out in that area. I also paired this with/a nice cold Modelo cerveza. I mean what's better than charbroiled skirt steak tacos & a nice cold beer. Our server was very attentive & did a great job. The dining room has a nice decor & there is a large outdoor patio that is great now that the weather is warmer. (A little to too warm & humid for us outside today). Even as I'm writing this review I'm thinking about the thick juicy portions of skirt steak on the tacos & I know I will be back again when I'm in the area (unfortunately I live in Chicago 37 miles away) Thank you for an enjoyable meal

Multiple TVs, mounted above order counter, are playing with sound and captions off. Chips and a very mild salsa kicked off our in-house experience. Meat was tender and well seasoned. I didn't enjoy the refried beans. The rice had a good sprinkling of peas. Guacamole, sour cream and diced tomatoes were striped across shredded iceberg lettuce.
