This off-the-beaten path oasis is tucked in near Army Trail Rd and Gary does a lot of takeout. So the dining room is comfortable and quiet on an early Saturday night anyway. Multiple TVs, mounted above order counter, are playing with sound and captions off. Chips and a very mild salsa kicked off our in-house experience. Flavors were unique (for example their salsa verde was cream or mayo based). Ordered their $18 namesake burrito with steak and it was two meals. Waitress brought me chicken instead. Meat was tender and well seasoned. I didn't enjoy the refried beans. The rice had a good sprinkling of peas. Guacamole, sour cream and diced tomatoes were striped across shredded iceberg lettuce. I had always driven by this place and have been curious about the food, but never saw it busy so passed on by. Today while in the area my wife and I decided to be adventurous and stop by. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. They offered free chips and salsa, and also had lunch specials which is always good. The girl at the front had us sit down and brought us menus and the chips and salsa. Steak in the tacos/burritos was tasty although a little dry (which i chalk up to coming after the lunch period at 130p). I really want to come back earlier in the day while everything is fresher! But that being said was happy with the food and it was reasonably priced and the serving sizes were very good. The place had a good flow to it with your standard pictures and seating (chairs vs booths which is another plus). I definitely plan on coming back next time I am in the area. read more

Was a little hesitant on going in but I am glad we did! It was super cute and nicely decorated inside! The staff was knowledgeable and nice! They serve complimentary chips and salsa. We love queso with chorizo so we added that. It was delicious! They have alcohol beverages and the michelada was exactly what I had a taste for! The birria plate came with 3 pieces and the consome. It was delicious! We also ordered the taco dinner - 1 pastor and 2 streak tacos. They were good. I personally like a bit more flavor and seasoning. The pastor was crispy. The streak was clean but a bit over cooked and like I said maybe a bit tasteless. They seem like they have some many different options to choose from! I would like to try their enchiladas or chicken or steak dinner plate. I would go back and would recommend to check out! Overall food was great and ambiance was as well! I hope they make it work! We tried Tacoma for the first time tonight and it certainly won't be our last trip. Amazing food. I'm not judge of what is or isn't authentic, but I know what's good and this was delicious. We had chips, queso, guacamole, and shredded chicken bowls. The bowl was excellent, served in a completely different way from any other bowl I've had. It's a very comfortable atmosphere,. The service was perfect. I really, really hope this place stays open. It's a great change of pace from all the chain restaurants in our area. We'll absolutely be back. read more

I had to eat twice here to make sure my initial thoughts about it weren't too far off the mark. After the second visit, I can confirm: this place is delicious. Since I can barely remember the first dish, I'll focus on the second one, which I ate today. I had a Burrito Ala Roqueta, which is thankfully NOT enormous, sits in a shallow pool of cheese, and has pico de gallo on top that is equal parts tomato and green peppers. In fact, green peppers are strewn throughout this burrito, and there's enough that for a while I thought I was eating Hatch green peppers in New Mexico again. With the sauce being *just* a little bit sour, this burrito was delicious. Paired with strongly flavored carnitas, this burrito won't put you into a coma for your afternoon. I also had chips and queso. The queso also had green peppers in it and was a bit spicy, while the tortilla chips were clearly homemade and sprinkled with chili powder. Tacoma is definitely going to be a new addition to the rotation. read more

This new Mexican spot is on point. Staff was super friendly. I placed our order ahead of time and Gio was very accommodating. Food is excellent, we ordered a variety of items to get the full experience. Our order consisted of tacos, sopes, fajitas, HOT salsa, queso, guac & chips, and chimichanga cheesecake. I am not exaggerating when I say everything we ordered was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and exceeded all of our expectations. The salsas were on point, salsa verde and especially the hot salsa. Chips were delicious, sprinkled with chili powder. The best was the chimichanga cheesecake, a must try!! One been here a couple times. The first was better than the last. The first time I had a Philly steak burrito which was pretty good. The second time we decided to put in a large other for 3 families, spent over $120. Ok so first things first they wouldn't let us order ahead on the phone. I dunno if that's a thing but it seems pretty weird but ok. Then they didn't label stuff. We had to open the boxes and open the food to see what meats were inside. Probably not a big deal when you order 2 things but this was not great considering the amount of food we got. The carne asada was super dry/overcooked. Guac was decent. Needless to say we will probably not go back. Maybe it will improve but there are a lot of other dependable options nearby read more
