If you're even remotely thinking about using wedding planning services with LaBoum GO FOR IT! You…read morewill NOT be disappointed, If I could give them 10 stars I would. Holy cow what a luxury it was and what special memories we created because of them. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah Albourn and Rebecca Kopperud from LaBoum events. When I reached out to Rebecca, who owns LaBoum, she helped me figure out what kind of service would best fit our 150 guest, Palmer, AK wedding planning needs. We decided on the 'day of coordination' services and were assigned Sarah Albourn who did nothing short of completely blow us out of the water. She was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We met a few times to talk (at length) about our wedding expectations over coffee and she so patiently helped us develop the perfect timeline for our special day. Having a wedding planning professional just a text or phone call away was priceless. She helped with so many aspects of our day from the smallest details to the big 'oh god help me' moments. She ran our rehearsal the day before the wedding seamlessly and kept us and all of our vendors on track on our wedding day. I legitimately don't know how we could have done it without her. It was so special to not have our closest loved ones running around in circles and instead we could all relax and really enjoy the moment because Sarah had us all taken care of. We legitimately miss her and are so grateful for everything she did to help us have the wedding of our dreams!

Dimond Skateland - Great floor condition and the carpet seems brand new also.

Okay, this is the third Skateland I've been to, which was for the party of my twin boys' friend…read more The other two are in San Antonio, Texas, where my oldest son had his 8th birthday party. Apparently they all have the same rules, sales, and layout. These three things I noticed: (1) Same kind of food served for birthday parties to include frozen pizza or hot dogs, ice cream cups, and soda. And those "Slush Puppies" that every roller skating rink seems to serve. (2) The décor is total late 1970's-early 1980's, never having been remodeled. I love it, but it's enough to make many younger people want to gag. And (3), the restrooms all have the sinks outside them for both genders. But no privacy stalls in the restrooms whatsoever! These places were constructed back in the day for efficiency and when people didn't have the privacy issues like they do now. The boots I was issued were brand new, but the ones for my 7 year old boys must have been at least 20 years old. And the rink was pure concrete and floor tile. Ouch! Not good for beginners. I'm really sorry to hear about people's bad experiences. I think a lot of their rules are ridiculous, but obviously the owners are trying to prevent preteens and teens from getting out of control. And the owners and staff didn't seem particularly friendly or inviting, but hey, it's Alaska. Many Alaskan's don't particularly like people.

Don't book a birthday party here, $290 for a 8 oz soda and the nastiest pizza!…read more Bathrooms are disgusting, probably haven't been cleaned in months! Rather use a portable toilet! Health inspector came in that establishment, would be shut down immediately! Elderly lady at the desk informed us before reserving our party we can come in 30 minutes prior to decorate, not the case! $290, for 6 kids. Skates and two rounds of laser tag, a table, nasty pizza, and coke a cola for a 9 year olds birthday. Had to purchase additional to the $290 for the bumper cars. Take your business else where.

I can't believe no one ever told me about this place. Always in search of a good if not the best…read moreburger, I decided to give these guys a try when I heard about them. Ordered via DoorDash. What drew me to give them a shot were these cheeseburger egg rolls I saw in an advert. What the heck was that? Well it was an eggroll cut in half that was full of ground beef and cheese and on top there was lettuce, tomato and onions. It came with the side of awesome sauce, which is like spicy thousand island. It is a bizarre concept and remains so even while you're chewing it. But it is absolutely delicious. The burger ordered was called the Food Truck. It was your classic burger with a double smashed patty, lettuce, tomato cheese, pickles, and onions. It was fantastic from the bun to the ingredients. Everything was fresh and fabulously assembled in proper amounts to make a really great burger in every bite. It held up to the leftover test and tasted really good without reheating. Because who has time for that? My friend ordered the Ruben Griller (sorry no pic). It was very good looking on marble rye with a lot of meat. I sensed some cheese and was not sure if there was sauerkraut in the bite that I had, but I found it a little dry weirdly because it had been toasted on the grill and had quite a bit of butter on the bread. Hard to describe, but I could tell that it was a good sandwich. I just might've got my bite off the edge so I will try again another time. My friend enjoyed the sandwich and ate it all in one sitting! Sides: the standard side is garlic fries, which are delicious and also once again fresh ingredients. The garlic seems chopped and not from a jar, I mean, you can tell the difference. You will smell like garlic for a few days. Which is cool though cause it's good for you. The most notable thing about the fries or if you would prefer tater tots is that you can "load" them. This is where someone comes in and sprays them with cheese and sour cream and bacon and green onions and etc., and it blows your mind and your diet. The onion rings are also as amazing as everything else. I particularly like the type of batter they use that is all one unit rather than like Panko that gets everywhere and falls apart. In all this is comfort food, and definitely high calorie (the items I'm reviewing, I don't know about salads, lighter, fare, or anything like that) and will have to be viewed as a once in a while treat if I don't want to have to buy larger pants. If you are looking for something really satisfying and want a good fresh meal that wakes up every single tastebud, I would recommend these guys. I also have to say it feels like the owners themselves made the food, and maybe they did. Either that or they have trained and treated their staff well because their integrity shows in the care they take to prepare and serve really outstanding food. They have a cool website where you can learn about the owners and their vision, and you can also purchase the awesome sauce for your own refrigerator, which I have done!

A good place to go if you have the "munchies."They have a lot of creative options on their menu…read more Also the Buffalo chicken sandwich is the spiciest Buffalo sandwich I've had in Alaska
