I can't believe no one ever told me about this place. Always in search of a good if not the best burger, I decided to give these guys a try when I heard about them. Ordered via DoorDash. What drew me to give them a shot were these cheeseburger egg rolls I saw in an advert. What the heck was that? Well it was an eggroll cut in half that was full of ground beef and cheese and on top there was lettuce, tomato and onions. It came with the side of awesome sauce, which is like spicy thousand island. It is a bizarre concept and remains so even while you're chewing it. But it is absolutely delicious. The burger ordered was called the Food Truck. It was your classic burger with a double smashed patty, lettuce, tomato cheese, pickles, and onions. It was fantastic from the bun to the ingredients. Everything was fresh and fabulously assembled in proper amounts to make a really great burger in every bite. It held up to the leftover test and tasted really good without reheating. Because who has time for that? My friend ordered the Ruben Griller (sorry no pic). It was very good looking on marble rye with a lot of meat. I sensed some cheese and was not sure if there was sauerkraut in the bite that I had, but I found it a little dry weirdly because it had been toasted on the grill and had quite a bit of butter on the bread. Hard to describe, but I could tell that it was a good sandwich. I just might've got my bite off the edge so I will try again another time. My friend enjoyed the sandwich and ate it all in one sitting! Sides: the standard side is garlic fries, which are delicious and also once again fresh ingredients. The garlic seems chopped and not from a jar, I mean, you can tell the difference. You will smell like garlic for a few days. Which is cool though cause it's good for you. The most notable thing about the fries or if you would prefer tater tots is that you can "load" them. This is where someone comes in and sprays them with cheese and sour cream and bacon and green onions and etc., and it blows your mind and your diet. The onion rings are also as amazing as everything else. I particularly like the type of batter they use that is all one unit rather than like Panko that gets everywhere and falls apart. In all this is comfort food, and definitely high calorie (the items I'm reviewing, I don't know about salads, lighter,fare, or anything like that) and will have to be viewed as a once in a while treat if I don't want to have to buy larger pants. If you are looking for something really satisfying and want a good fresh meal that wakes up every single tastebud, I would recommend these guys. I also have to say it feels like the owners themselves made the food, and maybe they did. Either that or they have trained and treated their staff well because their integrity shows in the care they take to prepare and serve really outstanding food. So I waited 40 minutes for the ChowNow app to quit pending my order. The guy tells me his iPad died at his desk. On top of waiting for that order, when I come to pick it up; half the bun of the 'guacamole chicken burger' special, is soggy. The garlic fries are both soggy & hard... if the front desk guy didn't have access to his iPad, why was my order soggy? He apologized & said my order would be ready in less then 15 min. We attended a wedding by Main Event Catering down Girdwood. They provided appetizers, dinner, and a bartender. They did everything very right for the event. Food was excellent and right on time. Our dinner was enjoyed by all guests. Our bartender was so very nice and pleasant to all the guests she served. They also provided china and flatware for the dinner with cleanup on their items at the end of the night. We were very remote and they were great in helping us get all tables set up and done. We recommend Main Line Catering to all events needing catering in the area. They do a very good job and were really easy to work with in planning. read more

We did a takeout lunch from here today and it was great, we are stoked! The Kenai burger was awesome, the Huli chicken burger was really tasty too, and those were the best fried pickles I've found so far. Burgers come with tasty garlic fries and ask for an extra side of (gratis) awesome sauce. Generous portions and good value. I was even impressed with the customer service, in the pandemic I've noticed many businesses buzz with a bit more tension, but everyone there was professional, nice, direct, and they were out doing their regular pandemic-related extra cleaning. I have been a few times to their truck this summer. My favorite thing on menu is the bacon jam and brie grilled sandwich. Their cheeseburger eggrolls are pretty delicious as well. I just had a free order of garlic knots delivered to my office. These little bits of goodness are fantastic. They are doing a promotion for office catering with free order on facebook. Definitely did not have a great experience with the customer service here at the Spenard Food Truck Carnival! I was ordering lunch for a friend ( oh does this make this not a first hand experience?!!) I was spending my money and time! (what ever!! )I waited in line, super patiently and when it was my turn my friend texted and said she changed her mind. I quickly said OH!! I'm so sorry she changed her mind thank you!! And jumped out of line And the woman in the truck was not very nice at ALL!!! She made a face and said "really?" Like I had put her out. Seriously folks I didn't hold her up or the line. First impressions make a huge difference. All it would of taken was an okay cool from the employee or no comment at all and I would try them again. The cheeseburger rolls are crunchy and yummier than lots of regular burgers. Co-worker won a salad from them so I decided to order along side her. Ordered a salad for delivery and it was amazing! Just what the doctor ordered. Southwest chicken salad has everything you would come to expect (corn,black bean, romaine lettuce, avocado,tomato,chicken,chips, and cheese) and the dressing was light and tasty. The bread roll that's served with it was also very tasty. The salad is 12 bucks or so and worth every penny. I'm from Anchorage and am currently planning my wedding in town, but I'm no longer local. I contacted Main Event on Facebook on a Friday inquiring about booking a tasting as a friend had recommended their catering services. I let them know what days I would be in town and why I was looking to do a tasting. Didn't hear anything back until the following Wednesday (now five days before I head up), where he explained how he does his tastings and asked for my email. When I had not heard from him Friday morning I reached out again, reminding him that I'm only in town for a short while and would like to have everything planned. He instantly responded that he would be unable to accommodate a tasting the following week because he had been booked solid before I even contacted him. I'm really disappointed I wasn't just told that when he originally reached out to me two days ago, which was five days since I originally messaged him. I have no idea if his food is good or not, but his customer service and communication is definitely lacking. read more
