One of the best fireworks shows I've ever seen! I've watched the La Verne Fireworks show for 26 years now and have NEVER been disappointed!

There's a lot to offer here. On one side, there's a lot of activities for the kids and families, like decorating hiking sticks, meeting some real live owls, and so much more. The amount of vendors is about average for the size of the venue. They've got a good viewing area blocked off for the live entertainment. The food area seems to have one or more vendors than I usually see here. Went to one that I hadn't been to before and ordered the chili with Portuguese sausage. It came with steamed rice and macaroni salad for $8, and accepted credit cards. And not a bad serving size too! Good includes L&L Hawaiian, which I passed up. I want to feast on more homemade food and support small business'. Also got some malasadas for $7 a dozen, with regular sugar. Cinnamon sugar was an extra dollar. Beverages are sold separately at another stand, selling a variety of canned and bottled beverages.

If you're looking to experience a little of the 'aloha spirit' or maybe you're a local missing the islands, this is the perfect place to relax, unwind, do a little shopping with local vendors, enjoy some Hawaiian music and hula dancing, and savor some great Hawaiian fares. There's plenty of things to do for the keiki (kids) such as arts and crafts, face painting, and learning about wildlife. They had snakes and owls that the keiki could touch. The wildlife experts are able to answer all your questions about these beautiful creatures. Parking and entry is FREE! If you can't make it out to San Dimas, they also will be at Alondra Park in LA this July! It happens every year (usually around summer) so plenty of opportunities to come and have a great time.

As soon as I entered the fair, a photographer asked if I wanted a picture taken. I checked for pricing and the lowest package they had was $40. Needless to say I did not take the photo . I did run into some cute jewelry vendors, and a soap making vendor that is local, and supported their business. I also saw some interesting art and the artist was onsite to talk about it. Parking at the fair is always something. They do have a complimentary tram that will take you closer to your car. For a discount on tickets, I decided to go with Mattress Firm. The process to reserve discounted tickets was easy. Til next year.

It was really cool to see all the retro-themed exhibits this year, from the "Retro Row" magazine cover section to the toys, teenage bedroom decor, video stores, typewriters, TVs, and more!! There were so many great photo op spots :) It was also interesting to see how much technology has changed over time and how some items are either no longer used at all or are used very differently now lol. As always, we spent time walking around and checking out the different outdoor booths, and a few of my friends even ended up winning some raffles! I also enjoyed seeing all the decorated tables and was especially happy to find the one my friend had entered into the competition. The other art exhibits were fun to look at too, and it was interesting trying to interpret the different pieces haha. As for food, I got to try the Watermelon Candy Chamoy, which I really enjoyed and would definitely order again!! I also tried the Loaded Cheese Fries with Bacon Bits. They were good, but more of a "try it once" kind of thing for me. Lastly, I got to try some Fried Frog Legs from a friend, and much to my surprise, I actually liked them and could see myself ordering them myself in the future. Overall, it was another fun and enjoyable day at the fair :)

Again, UNLIMITED. There were over 30 canopies where most breweries served at least 2 types. Many of them had won Gold in numerous competitions, which makes me very curious what made them so special. Stand in line. There were not only beers but a wine tent, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Cayman Jacks margarita (would've never tried this but it was SO REFRESHING I would get this for a party). OH, not to mention a ton of free cigar samples we got, from Swishers. Blueberry is my fave. The one time to promote their beers, the perfect plan to take a step ahead of the growing competition of the best craft. Come for the experience. Get a souvenir cup of 4 oz, with a mark at the 3oz line allowing for foam to dissipate. ALL tents filled the cup to the 3oz or more, some spilled, multiply that by about 12 cups tried, we had 33 oz+ of beer (=1L the size of a German stein) Difference is, these were ALL different. Amber, IPA, Lagers, ESB, Belgium...... Got tipsy? you bet. Craft beer is usually strong, one even had a 10% ABV! THE FACTS: -5 of us got alcohol rights plus one designated driver! -Long lines but moved fast. -Drink start pouring from 1pm-5pm nonstop -Live music throughout -Hint giving free bottles of cold water -6 food trucks (I got the German currywurst+german roll, not like the authentic but good still); friends got Indian, southern BBQ, wraps... -XIOS energy drinks for free, sunglasses, bags, stickers, all sorts of promotional stuff - Check in on YELP, got more stuff -Other food tents -Getting tipsy/drunk guaranteed -Finally finding out what that beer you always saw at the alcohol aisle tasted like! at least for me it did - Unmistakable California vibe, love it! NOTABLE: - Karl Strauss Brewery from San Diego, CA (Red Trolley Amber and Pintail Pale Ale) - Firestone Walker Brewing Co - Cayman Jacks Margarita - Angel City Brewery - Grand Teton Brewery - Goose Island - Winner of the Competition announced at the end, Dale Bros. - Honestly can't remember most of the names We mixed wine, beer, whatever is in Cayman jacks and Mike's Hard Lemonade and topped it off with cigars. Got hungover by 6pm. A fun experience, but i might've set my expectations too high having been to Munich last October. Kudos to American brewery. We then went on to jump into a friends pool, clothes, sunglasses and all. That's how far the alcohol went.

I liked the set up as the booths were close together. We recently went to a beer fest in San Diego and you had to walk like a mile between each booth and that cut into our drinking time. They had a band playing some great cover songs and a giant California bear taking pictures with people. The tickets were $40 ($35 presale) and it included hours of unlimited tasting. They even had Guinness flavored ice cream for sale! Overall, great festival for any beer lover.

For parking, it was an easy process going from the gate and getting funneled to available spots. They take American Express at the gate. Be prepared to remember where your car is parked because it could feel like a maze later. For food, there were a lot of options all around the venue. There were so many options but my girlfriend and I could only try a handful. There was a good variety of items and we specifically got to try the following: matcha latte, pork belly tacos, tiramisu parfait, pizza taiyaki, and ube banana pudding. We saw online that there was a program. But honestly this wasn't something we focused on. Most of our time was spent browsing the different halls that consisted of different vendors, food vendors, kpop, artwork, anime, etc. The only drawback was we were not able to get a full preview of what vendors were attending. However, we were able to get by with some of the ones highlighted on their instagram and discovered by walking around. We spent about 3.5 hours here. A lot of vendors accepted American Express. Looking forward to coming back here again!
