The only thing this place gives you is an uncomfortable and very unsatisfactory experience. The staff has been rather rude towards me in all my three visits. After doing my nails, in which process they don't even ask exactly what you want, they kept telling me I NEEDED to get my brows waxed. After refusing a few times, I finally gave in and the woman waxed almost all of my brows off, leaving them looking worse than when I came. I always feel very uncomfortable during my entire visits and the staff make you feel like an inconvenience. Not to mention PUSHY. They literally will do everything to get the most money out if you while doing nothing to actually make you feel comfortable. Do not go here. read more

I'd been here once before and was a little disappointed in how long it took to have someone help me (granted it was closer to closing time and they still fit me in). But this time I walked in on a Sunday morning and was seated right away. The tech did a great job, even gave me a great leg and foot massage before painting my toes. While my nails were drying she gave me a back, head, neck & shoulder massage which at 8 months pregnant will probably be the highlight of my week. Runners pedicure (extra callus removal, pregnancy is tough on the feet!) and about 25 total minutes of massage for $50. I'd say that's a great deal & it was a job well done. Another plus, I watched her clean the tub when she was done. I can't tell you how many salons I've been in that people rave about where I see someone get up from their chair, the tech drain the water and 10 minutes later sit another person in the chair without cleaning it. I was in Frederick visiting family last month. Since I had time and this salon was nearby (right across the street from Frederick Memorial Hospital), I decided to give it a try for both a mani and pedi. I was impressed with how clean and upscale the salon looked, and with the friendly and professional owners. When I expressed surprise that I was the only customer there, they told me that they had taken over the salon nine months ago, and had done a complete renovation, but negative reviews from the time it was under previous management were likely keeping clients away. They showed me pictures of how it looked under the previous management...gross! It probably would have helped to change the name so the negative reviews wouldn't continue to show up when the salon was under new management. In any case, I promised to write a review to share my very positive experiences. My powder manicured nails and pedicure were excellent. I really hope word gets out that these owners have transformed the salon from a trashy to a classy one! read more

So I've been coming to this nail place even before the new owner Michelle was there. & I use to love it. I moved from the Frederick area to the Gaithersburg area, and would still make the trip to this nail salon. Michelle the new owner would do my nails all the time so I had her personal # to text before arriving. Once I arrived she had another client and she told me that her sister who works there would do my padicure while she finished. Turns out she did both pedicure and gel manicure (not to mention she pushed me to get a gel pedicure because it would "dry fast") so while her sister was doing my manicure Michelle finally came around and painted my toe nails ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It was so uncomfortable sitting there while I had my foot up on her knees. I had long natural nails & I asked her to fix for me because they were breaking a little on the corners. So she got gel powder and "fixed" it so they wohldnt break anymore . 3 days later all of the nails she had "fixed" were broken, gel polish was chipping! I went in to show Michelle what had happened & asked for a refund. She said "I can't do refund! but I can give you a full set!" At the time it was just her at the salon and she was busy so I told her I would come back! Today I finally made time to go in, but even before this I was texting her telling her I was busy at work and couldn't make it. All she would say is "Come in whenever" I get there and her sister is there and I go in and she tells me "I'm not gonna do your nails she (her sister) will fix them for you and only paint them! Because you took too long to come in!" she didn't even take in mind that I had already came in 3 days after I got my nails done to show her. I asked why she couldn't do a refund and she just kept on saying "we sat there and worked for it! So it's already nice enough that I'm gonna paint them for you!" But would all of this had happened if they actually sat there and did they're job RIGHT? I'll never be going back after this last time! I'm pretty sure half of the people she has working there aren't even real nail technicians. read more

Went here for the first time today. Was not super pleasant. The techs were very sweet and nice but pushy which was a little unsettling. Also, the guy doing my pedicure cut my toe and ignored it completely. My friend was getting a pedicure and they decided to do her manicure at the same time, which left her in a very uncomfortable position the entire time, not allowing her to relax. Then the lady ringing us up was just kind of throwing out numbers. I was almost charged $65 for a basic manicure/pedicure. Needless to say, I probably won't be going back. read more

I used to go here all the time when I lived in Frederick. I went here today for the first time in a while and was very disappointed. I was expecting to get a relaxing mani pedi but instead had to have my body twisted the whole time because they decided to do my mani and pedi at the same time. I also had to balance the bowl and the uv light on my lap which once again is not very relaxing. The techs are nice but very pushy. Also after two of my friends asked for the basic pedicure they did a more pricier one, which in my opinion is theft. My one friend asked for a basic pedicure and the gel manicure.. Which should have been 50$ but she got charged 65$. Also they have a sign saying 5% off if paid with cash.. Well instead I paid 5$ more for who knows why. Needless to say, La Villa Nail Spa will never be seeing me again. Not worth the half an hour drive. read more

Went in for a standard pedicure. The woman working on my nails kept trying to get me to upgrade to a more expensive pedicure. I noticed the tools she used were already laying on the stand. Nothing was freshly wrapped or autoclaved. Even when the lady in the chair next to me was finished her pedicure and a new customer was seated, they used the same tools on her feet. Unsanitary. When a customer leaves they only rinse the bowls out with water spray. My polish was smudged when the woman doing my nails put my sandles on after the pedicure. I selected La Ville in Frederick due to the great ratings. I'm thinking these were made by staff of the salon. Never going back! read more

I used to come here because I like the ability to walk to this salon. I was pleased with the service. However the ownership has changed and so has the service. I went to get a pedicure with my granddaughter and was strong armed into gels for me and the queens package. I said no to gels 3 times until I gave in because the lady would not work on me. Meanwhile my granddaughter was almost finished and had to wait almost 45 min more until I was done. this is not appropriate. I just wanted to leave. I do not recommend this place anymore and will not be returning. read more
