One of the only rooftop restaurants we could find in Varenna. While the atmosphere was beautiful overlooking Lake Como, the food came short. We weren't impressed with the pastas, and we had ordered a bottle of hard cider that had gone bad. We did however enjoy the peaches and cream dessert. The servers were trying to rush us out as we were dining late, seemed to be a trend as most of Varenna closes down early.

Great venue for views of the lake and great food. One of the most beautiful sunset views you can get in Lake Como! We went during the summer, so it was quite hot but it was fine. I would time out the sunset and book your dinner here. For appetizer, we ordered the caprese salad, melon w/ prosciutto, and thinly sliced veal w/ tuna sauce. For our entrees, I ordered the big ravioli with scallops, prawns, and shellfish bisque, and my friend order the medallion of beef w/ pesto of pistachio and hash browns. All the food was excellent. I don't have any critique on the food because everything we ordered was great.

Bad quality panorama but shows the great view at sunset!

Fantastic dining experience with an absolutely gorgeous lake view. Customize your three course meal for 40 euros, or add another course to make it 48 euros. Great ambiance/location, and great portions -- it was a little chilly in early October, but they provide lovely soft thick blankets. You can make reservation requests via their website -- we made a request in the morning for same day evening and got a confirmation within 30 minutes! Very close to the Varenna ferry station, just up one level of stairs. My spouse had the three course -- liked the tortellini soup, loved the guinea fowl wrapped in bacon with AMAZING potatoes, was so-so on the dessert cookies, but loved the dessert wine that came with the cookies. I got the four course (how can you resist a fourth dish for 8 euros when it usually would cost 18?!) - Loved the pigeon terrine with duck foie gras, LOVED the ravioli stuffed with white fish with scallops, liked the local sea bass filets with purple potatoes, and very much enjoyed the chocolate soufflé with pistachio sauce (waiter recommendation as her fave dessert). Looking at what other tables ordered -- would also recommend ordering the dessert cheese plate. It looked like it came with 7 different cheeses with enough sides to cover a 10"x10" plate!

Absolutely amazing! The shellfish was cooked perfectly. We are here our last night in Varenna and it was by far the best restaurant we tried. So flavorful and luxe. Great wine list and beautiful views. You can't go wrong here.

My husband and I had one of our favorite dining experiences here during our trip to Italy. We were seated outside on the patio with a beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. We enjoyed everything we ate. The ambiance is quiet and romantic. The servers were also very helpful and service was on point. We had the best panna cotta of our lives, don't miss it!

The views were spectacular and the service was exceptional, the food was good just like all other food we had in Lake Como.

The waiter kindly put a reservation for table at 8 PM on their outside patio. While we couldn't get a full view of the water, that atmosphere was so nice and everybody was generally very pleasant, which was relaxing. Their menu was vast and because we had so many choices, we ended up ordering so much off of the menu, including fries with ketchup, their soup of the day, (which was a zucchini cream soup), cocktails and mocktails, seafood pasta and monkfish, shrimp & scallop skewers. Safe to say, we are completely full by the time we left, but everything was delicious and I didn't regret anything we ordered.

The interior is just a beautiful space modern but still showing off the old stone walls. Plenty of tables but all of them separate and not stuffed together so you will have privacy. The wine list is extensive while the menu is a bit more concise. The food is locally sourced and all is home made. The bread basket is not an after thought but a an excellent blending of different breads and bread sticks. I wanted to try the risotto with fish filets but they only prepare for 2 so I asked our waitress for he favorite dish she l Pointed to the raviolis stuffed with rabbit. They were amazing the wife had a top notch pasta with mushrooms.foe desert tired of tiramisu we asked the waitress she led up to a wonderful tarte with lemon ricotta and blueberries . Wow!!

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 One of the restaurants that open a little bit early so we have decided to try it out. We got there 10 minutes before and people started coming after us. We got the seat even we didn't have reservations. I ordered risotto with fried perch (minimum 2 orders), lake fish sampler entree, and white wine to pair with fish dishes. Risotto flavor was good but the texture was a bit hard for my taste. It was different from the one I had in Venice. I don't know which one is authentic but I don't really like the texture of this one. Lake fish sampler also great on seasoning but then again some fishes have small bones which I didn't like. So if small bones bother you like me, I suggest don't order this dish. Also order "Miascia" with figs jam and pumpkin ice-cream. Which tasted balance with ice cream and taste of fig jam. Overall experience was ok but it was a bit over priced.

We were seated as soon as they opened; which was very nice of them. We ordered their Risotto and Grilled fish and ended our dinner with sweet dessert that they have. Their Risotto was not my favorite because the rice was tough to chew and fish had tiny bones in them. Risotto had good seasoning but texture was not what I prefer. Grilled fish platter was decent but fish had a lot of tiny bones that I didn't like. Seasonings were great! Service was good and staff were talking in English and smiling and friendly with people. Table settings were in family style and this place is good for large families.
