These guys are a family owned business, and have been around for more than 20 years. Over time, they expanded from the back corner of Ivy Place. In fact, part of the store is where the old Spoons and Spice location used to be. Tastees has all kinds of Eastern European baked goods, cheeses and meats, imported shelf staples, etc. Nice treats too! The day I stopped by, they had just restocked their Milka chocolates, and there was a broad selection to choose from. They have a neat display case of nesting dolls and various decor items that I enjoyed looking at. Lots of authentic middle eastern groceries. Got some Aleppo chili peppers which is not available anywhere. Also got some Turkish yogurt. Got some real lavash, which was actually thin lavash. Great for shwarma and wraps. Got some orange blossom ice cream. Delicious! Tried middle eastern brand of orange soda. Refreshing! I had to exercise self-discipline and not buy some authentic Turkish delights. Will get them the next time. The owner lady was very friendly and helpful. Look for them on the corner of the lower level of an apartment building. Absolutely worth the visit. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good.
