Al pastor taco (back left), carne asada taco (front left), birria taco (right). Horchata drink. Most toppings from cart.

My bf and I only recently found this gem and are now regulars. We both really enjoy their carne asada, I usually get their street tacos and he usually likes their burritos. I also think their horchata is some of the best around (albeit a bit smaller and more expensive than other places). I've also tried their al pastor and birria which were definitely good, but I liked the carne asada taco more. Be sure to not skip on the toppings and sauce bar! Service is usually pretty fast, you can order with them or at a self serve kiosk. Ambiance is casual, often times it's also a little smoky. I've definitely left smelling like tacos/meat haha but it's worth it!

Ordered Santo Taco to-go and tried the burrito, fish tacos, and the birria quesadilla. Everything had really good flavor, and I appreciated the fresh little salsas and lemon that came with the meal. The fish tacos were tasty but could've used a bit more seasoning for that extra punch. Overall, though, it's a great spot with solid food and generous portions, definitely a place I'd order from again.

Conveniently located downtown. Staff was helpful and food came out quick. They have a fully stocked salsa bar with multiple salsas, peppers, and lots of other stuff.

I ordered (2) birria tacos with consume, (1) fish taco, and (1) shrimp taco. Everything was SO delicious! And since my last review, they took notes because I received an abundance of condiments! Red and green salsa, limes, and little cups of cilantro and onions! I was such a happy fat kid after this! The fish and shrimp tacos were beautiful and tasty. I will order again and again for sure!

We stop here every time we fly into SLC and before we head to Park City. They have the best Birria hands down with the most delicious juice/consome broth to dip our tacos in, very flavorful. We also like their salsa bar offering a variety of salsas with many delicious options of mild to hot and roasted jalapeños were wonderful. Service is always outstanding, self serve beverage area, nicely decorated by a local artist. You can get your angel wings here, great photo op.

Yikes! I had such high expectations and was sorely disappointed. The food was so greasy and sad. Birria had no consume (is it even birria then??) the pork verde taco was greasy, gray, soggy, and pathetic. The flavor was minimal. The salsa bar was empty and crusty. Not even worth a drunken visit. You're better off at the pie hole probably.

As you can see the tacos didn't make the pic. Sorry. But this place was good stop for a late night meal. We ordered the asada and pastor which are the best. The chicken was ok but wouldn't get it again. The place was busy since it was a Friday night. Pretty loud but nothing bad. They had our order ready pretty fast. Will be going back.

    BIRRIA QUESADILLA FISH TACO

Food was amazing. We got the Birria quesadilla, but the one that's on the catering slide of the menu. So much food it was enough for two starving guys that love Mexican with leftovers. We also tried a fish taco since they are famous here supposedly... and they are pretty gas ngl. The fried filets here actually very large, messy to eat but delicious! Great spot, will definitely be returning in the future 100%.

Yummy! We ordered taco Al pastor, steak, birria, chile verde, and chicken, then a side of rice and beans. It was quick, fresh, and tasty. The only one we didnt live thoroughly was the chicken taco. Prices ranged from $2.50 to about $4. They have a condiment bar that was fresh and clean. It hadn't been sitting out all day. The people were friendly and helpful. The outside area is nasty, inside super clean. SLC CLEAN UP YOUR SIDEWALKS!

When it comes to tacos I like to consider my self an expert as it's my culture I literally grew up on many of these and I have spent my adult life trying to find the best ones. These are some of the better ones I have had. These yellow tortilla was perfect just enough crisp but not so much that it is hard. These salsa was good not great but good enough. The steak was chewy could use some work. Their pastor was the highlight it was some of the better pastor I have had in Utah. The restaurant was empty for a weeknight but that comes as expected. The service was average nothing bad but nothing special. I think it's fair to give this place another try not bad!

Santo Taco sits on the busy corner of State St and 400 S in Salt Lake City where there is energy all around. That energy continues through the doors of the bright and colorful party inside. You place your order on a tablet, but it is smooth and easy enough for the low tech diners. And if you need help, the staff are ready and willing. The tacos and rest of the menu is fantastic. We tried a variety from birria quesadillas, al pastor tacos, consommé, carne asada tacos, chorizo, and more. The burritos are plentiful and all the prices are reasonable. Come for some great grub and leave with a happy tummy and smile on your face.

Cactus taco was good, just a really good non meat taco. Birria was on point! Any of the sauces was not hot at all.... But the cold jalapeños made up for it kinda.. prefer hot and grilled not grilled then chilled in the cart overall not a bad experience! But could be better

The bathroom is hidden to the right of the store walking in. Just a warning, the further you go in the store, the more it smells like bathroom... When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted - which is fine, there were a handful of people inside. While ordering, I had asked what was popular and what the cashier suggests, and she said "matcha". I told her it was my first time but she didn't proceed with any recommendations. I decided to go with the ube matcha with oatmilk. She then asked if I'd like cream with it, I had asked if she suggested it and she responds with "well everyone gets it with creamer". Ok so I agreed to try it out. Why not cause everyone gets it with creamer right? I waited about 10 mins, which isn't bad considering the amount of people. She called my name and had 3 other drinks with her. I asked her if the one she was handing me was with oatmilk , and she says "well that's what you ordered right" I tried it and it wasn't oatmilk. I brought it up to her attention and she kinda just said "sorry" and that was all....unfortunately, I can't say it was the best service. If I decide to come back next time, I'll only get straight matcha instead of a latte just to try again. The matcha didn't have a strong taste to it. It was on the watery side. Perhaps I came on the wrong day a they were off with their orders. Who knows...

If you're looking for pastries that are as stunning as they are delicious, Fillings & Emulsions…read moreabsolutely delivers. Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.

The sweet cashier recommended Strawberry & Mango, so that's what we got. They were delicious! I think the mango was my personal favorite. The location is in a food mall, which I wasn't expecting but it was so cute inside. I wish we had more time to check out the other vendors but we'll have to come back. On a separate note, it was kind of hard to find a trash can.
