My name is Sarwer Chowdhry and I was treated at WellNow Urgent Care, 1438 Western Ave, Albany, NY,…read moreon July 10, 2026 for a cutaneous abscess of the left upper limb. The provider performed an incision and drainage (I&D) under local anesthesia, extended your antibiotic treatment, and gave you detailed homecare and follow-up instructions. My Review: I had an outstanding experience at WellNow Urgent Care on 1438 Western Ave in Albany. I especially want to recognize Callie Geeslin, PA-C, for providing exceptional care. Based on my condition, she could have simply sent me to the Emergency Room by saying that the clinic did not have the necessary equipment for an incision and drainage (I&D) procedure. Instead, she took the time to evaluate my abscess carefully, explained everything clearly, numbed the area, and performed the I&D with great skill and professionalism. She treated a painful abscess on my left forearm that had continued to worsen despite antibiotics, and I truly appreciate her confidence, expertise, and compassionate approach. She is truly a gem of a provider. I would also like to thank Ashley, the nurse, who applied my dressing with a smile, was extremely polite and caring, and even provided me with extra dressing supplies for my next dressing change. Her kindness and attention to detail made a stressful situation much easier. The entire visit exceeded my expectations. I am very grateful to Callie Geeslin, PA-C, Ashley, and the staff at WellNow Urgent Care for their excellent care. They are a tremendous asset to WellNow, and I highly recommend this location to anyone needing urgent medical attention. Kind regards, Sarwer Chowdhry

My…read morestatements were mailed to the wrong address and delivered to my neighbors, despite my correct information being provided. When I contacted billing after their voicemail threatening collections to attempt to correct the address and set up a payment plan, I was told the problem was my fault for not including my apartment number on the original registration form. I was also told there were no flexible payment options outside of their automated system, which only allowed payment timing based on the original statement date rather than my current situation. Overall I do not believe they can provide adequate service based on simply blaming patients for their mailing system not accepting apartment numbers correctly. Edit in addition: I have already reached out via email and then received a call yesterday requesting I call the customer service line who told me that when I did. I sent to wecare@wellnow, your privacy team and the billing email you provided below.

I was turned away saying the dr wrote the script wrong. now I have to wait even longer with symptoms that are getting worse. I should also add this is a repeat of previous bloodwork that was taken at a different location and Quest refused to take the sample. in going to have to go to labcorp and pay out-of-pocket because they are not in network with my insurance just to find out what is going on with my health.

They did a whole bunch of paperwork, and then that same woman told her to come in the back, which she did. The two of them came back out and did a whole bunch more paperwork. There was NO ONE else there, and yet thirty minutes went by before the Quest receptionist ever looked at me or acknowledged me. The one woman at the counter, it turned out, was the entire Quest team: she was the receptionist, secretary, and blood drawler. Also phone answerer. I kinda expected her to pump gas and maybe play the accordion too. All in all it was a peculiar experience. The only good thing I will say is that when I finally got in the back to have my blood drawn, she was nice, and she managed to draw my blood without any problem. But even that doesn't make me want to give it two stars. There was something very Twilight Zone about the whole experience, and the creepy way that I was there, it was quiet and empty, and yet still nobody saw me or spoke to me.

I went into the Kohls' location first thing in the morning for a blood draw. There were two…read moreemployees present, a younger woman and an older woman. They were loudly shouting back and forth from one end of the office to another. At first it was just pleasantries. Unprofessional, for sure, but I just wanted to get the blood draw done quickly. The younger employee began complaining about the codes that were listed on my blood draw order. She yelled to the other employee that the codes were incorrect and that "these doctors just don't care." Then she shouted my doctor's name, a well respected member of the medical community, and said "he should know better." I was shocked. The other employee asked her who the doctor was. She shouted his name even louder. The older employee then shouted "He's old. He should retire!" I was appalled at the lack of respect for a member of the medical community and for me, his patient. I had never experienced this type of unprofessionalism in a medical facility. I was going to retrieve the work order and leave when the younger employee called me in and said they were not going to be able to draw my blood because there were incorrect codes on the order. I took the order and quickly left the office. When I got home, I emailed Patient Experience at St. Peter's Partners. Within a half hour I received a response from the coordinator apologizing for what I experienced and assuring me that the incident was being referred to management and to Human Resources. A half hour later, I received a phone call from the woman who supervises all 14 St. Peter's labs. She reviewed the facts with me and then said she was on her way to have a discussion with these two employees. She said that this type of unprofessionalism would not be tolerated. She was appalled at the statement of my doctor being too old and should retire. I am grateful that St. Peter's responded quickly to this incident. Hopefully they will take action to make sure that no customer ever has to endure this type of unprofessionalism again. I appreciate their apologies, but I will never set foot in this lab again. And I had been a steady customer there since they opened. This is how you lose business.
