You come in and no receptionist, signs guide you to check in kiosks. It walks you through scanning your license, and insurance cards. A few more questions and your done. Someone calls you up to the window and takes your co pay and your on your merry way to get your blood drawn. The phlebotomist was nice, but when he put the needle in it burned like hell. At least it was a one stick episode. He drew 2 tubes and wrapped me up and it was all said and done. The entire process took approx 15 minutes total which was great. read more

I don't know how this place continues to operate. It's pretty clear to me that Labcorp represents the very essence of a revenue driven corporate healthcare machine, like so many other patient services these days. Labcorp doesn't care about the patients and they certainly don't care about their employees based on the staff's constant rude, cold, unfriendly demeanor I experience once a year for routine bloodwork. They just want the money from people's insurance companies. Today I went in for routine bloodwork and Jay came out to get me. She pretty much screamed my name into the relatively small waiting room at an unnecessarily loud volume. From here on out I don't think she ever even looked at me. She just barked at me to provide her my name and DOB while she prepared everything she needed to draw blood at breakneck speed. Now, I totally get knowing your job and doing it efficiently but I wish she would've slowed down a bit and took her time before jabbing me in the arm. That's how things are missed and mistakes are made, which can be costly when dealing with people's blood. It seemed as if my being there was a burden or a nuisance to her. Like I interrupted her lunch break or something. That's the vibe I was getting for the five minutes I was there. If you're having a bad day, go outside and have a smoke or go home. But fix your attitude before you start sticking needles in my arm. Overall the visit was just very uncomfortable and by the end of it I just wanted to get hell out of there. Needless to say, I won't be returning next year. I'll request my blood get drawn someplace else. It seems Labcorp hires just anybody and I don't need to be made to feel like I'm an annoyance. PS- Labcorp, if you're reding this, fix the grammatically incorrect sign on the door to the back. You have apostrophes on words that shouldn't have one. Those words are plural, not possessive. It makes your facility look unprofessional, not that this place is the hallmark of professionalism to begin with. This only further strengthens my opinion that Labcorp hires just anybody. read more

I've been to this location a few times and always considered it adequate and quick. Today I had Jae draw my blood for the first time. She was amazing! I never felt the needle nor even felt her change the vials. She is super friendly and makes you feel very relaxed. I'm 70 and this was the best blood draw I have ever had. I have used this lab for years because it is close to me and convinient. But... Scripts are being misplaced, appointments don't mean a thing, waiting is a routine despite having appointments, no receptionist, phlebotomists do it all (paperwork, check in, billing as well as blood draw). Lab Corp is terrible! Don't go there for your blood work! I called the Latham NY location to make sure they had my lab paperwork that the Dr said he sent over to them . Someone picked up the phone and hung up on me. I called back and it went to voicemail. I left a message for someone to call me back to confirm that My lab forms are already there before I drove over there. No one called me back Of course. I went to LabCorp signed in on the automated system, I got in line to talk to the representative at the desk to confirm that my lab paperwork was there before I waited in the waiting area to be called. while standing in line they completely ignored me. They never acknowledged me never said we will be right with you or we will be available to help you in a moment while I was in line. they called somebody else up instead without acknowledging my presence first when I was finally able to speak to a representative they told me my paperwork was not there. I wasted all this time and never going back there again or to any LabCorp location. read more

This place is understaffed and the staff that are there are understandably frustrated, but they are also rude. Apparently, you need an appointment, but the LabCorp website is not working for making appointments. If an appointment is needed, then tell people that when they walk in. They replaced a human receptionist with a really cool self check-in, but no one can get answers regarding status or other details. I waited among a crowd of others who were confused and provided zero details. If you have a choice, select another lab. This lab is not customer-friendly. If you do choose this lab, know that you need an appointment. They totally hate walk-ins. read more

Went to LabCorps, New Loudon Road in Latham NY, to get blood drawn for an upcoming physical. The technician that drew my blood tried to find a vein without success. She left and a more experienced technician took over and she found an accessible vein in the other arm. As a result, both my arms are seriously black and blue. I'm an elderly person and have had blood drawn many times throughout my life. This is worst experience I have had. read more

The staff Mitchell is so rude and I mentioned her, use butterfly needle as i have very small vein. She didn't listen to that and poked twice. I asked her why you poked twice and she lied to me saying only once poked. I am so shocked whether they can lie too!! so cheap!! I didn't complete my test here and went to another Lab. Go elsewhere. Period. Gave it a 1 star because I had no other choice. Awful experience. Waited 20 minutes, the front desk person was in the back "chatting." When she came she was obnoxious and just plain rude - and that is being kind. I left and called the corporate office to ask them why they would have someone like her working for them. The lady at the corporate office said that LabCorp has a difficult time retaining employees/difficult time finding good employees - so turnover is high and they "get what they get" (her words). Don't bother making an appointment, they will still make you wait until all the other walk-ins are seen first. The young girl checking people in was rude to everyone so I guess I should have expected no less when a 1/2 hour after my appointment time, I asked when I would be seen and I was rudely told appointments don't matter since "so many other people have been waiting a lot longer than you". I left LabCorp and went to Quest as a walk-in and was seen within 15 minutes. Stay away from LabCorp. read more

I had a great experience at the labcorp in Latham. Did not have an appointment and was in and out of there in 15 minutes.

The staff are miserable and act like you are bothering them by being there. The wait was insanely long for a routine blood draw. To top it off, the person at the window was lying to people and saying that they had to provide a credit or debit card and then sign a form saying that Labcorp was "pre-authorized" to bill the credit or debit card for an unknown amount at a future date. So basically asking for a blank check. I refused because I have health insurance and Labcorp is in-network and the pushy staffer then asked me if I wanted to cancel my lab orders then, which is obviously implying that I would be denied service if I refused to give them the credit card info. I felt that she was lying as she continued making excuses as to why this info was required and started talking about how some people are dead beats so you can't blame LabCorp for wanting to ensure they would get paid. Very unprofessional! I called corporation and asked about this and it turns out providing a credit or debit card is NOT required and they can't refuse service for not providing one. Corporate LAbcorp did admit that they strongly encourage their staff to get credit cards, so I suspect that they have an internal system that rewards their staff for getting this info (or punishes them if they don't), but at any rate it is unethical to lie or mislead customers to obtain their information. Not happy. Things need to change. read more

I used the "Wait where you're comfortable" amenity and I still sat for 30 minutes inside after I was told my tec was ready to see me. Best experience ever in a blood lab and I've been to quite a few believe me. This time was for my daughter who was anxious to start with and turns out to be wicked dehydrated. Our phlebotomist, Tom, was so amazing !! He made her comfortable, laugh, and taught her about dehydration !!! Which I've been trying to get across to her for 2 years !! Just want to shout out to Tom a huge thank you ... you rock !!! There should be more people like you in the world !!! read more

Literally 1 lady works here as an actual lab technician. I'm guessing the other woman was the one that takes your insurance info. Either way, it took 2 hours for me to take a urine test for work. The test itself took less than 5 minutes but without an appointment you'll be waiting forever. I get it, not everyone needs lab work done so they probably can't staff this location that well but people were so sick of waiting they left, meaning my 2 hour wait could have been much longer.
