Terrible experience at the Quarry Lake location this morning. I was a few minutes early and checked in from my car. When I've done this in the past, I would get a text saying "we're ready for you, please proceed to the office." No text came, so when a few minutes passed, I walked in. Assumed I was signed in and I was still on time for my appt. Nothing. When I asked the woman behind the desk she says "I called at 8:33 and you weren't in the lobby." I said, "I checked in from my car. I got no text or phone call. Besides this, her attitude was not great and she didn't seem to understand why I was annoyed and frustrated. What's the point of being able to check in from your car if this is going to happen. Apparently, only checking in from the kiosk inside is the way to go. read more

Michelle & Vincent are the best. It is because of the professionalism and the manner in which they accommodate all patients that supports my review. Even when watching them handle demanding patients their professionalism does not wane. I have disappearing veins and I tell Vincent one stick. He is thoughtful and in one stick it is done. Michele simply keeps us flowing in and out even while calling to get orders corrected. It's a delicate balance, but I have watched them manage the office on many occasions. I signed in and the woman at the front desk told me the wait is about 20 minutes and i have to wait in my car to be seen. I waited for 45 minutes and came back to check in and she responded "oh well i called your name" and i told her that she told me to wait in my car and then she checked me in right there and said i have two people in front of me and it would be another 20 minutes. i ended up having to leave due to my busy schedule and don't know when i will be able to come back to get my labs drawn because i am afraid more of my time will be wasted. if i could rate zero stars i would rude and inconsiderate of other peoples time read more

I use the Quarry Lake location because of the amazing phlebotomists there who had no problem finding my hard-to-find veins. They were always friendly too. Two days ago, on August 20, the only phlebotomist there was a new employee (at least, I had never seen her before). I asked her to use a butterfly needle that the phlebotomists had chosen in the past and advised me to choose in the future for my small veins. She haughtily ignored me and got the regular thick needle. She stuck the needle into my left arm and no blood came out. She was able to draw blood from my right arm. Instead of leaving the needle and waiting for the slow flow to finish, she got annoyed that it was slow. She started to twirl the needle inside the vein in all directions and then added an up-and-down movement, injuring the heck out of my vein. I told her she was hurting me and she sarcastically asked if it was my first time drawing blood. The twirling movement happened a few times before in other Labcorp locations, that's why I stuck with Quarry. I shared the experience with some good phlebotomists (who can find a vein on the first try and not bruise me in the process). They said that the needle must not be moved around while inside the vein, it won't add to the blood flow, only cause injury. I didn't tell her to stop moving it considering her dismissive attitude and refusal to use a butterfly needle. Some people take your requests as a personal insult because their ego makes it about them and not you, the patient. I told her she was hurting me but, as I expected, she couldn't care less. Made a snarky remark and told me not to look. I've no problem looking at or dealing with blood. I have a problem when an incompetent arrogant woman actively injures me while sabotaging the process. Of course, her twirling/stabbing tricks completely stopped the blood flow before the last sample was full. She just couldn't wait for the natural blood flow to do its job. When she saw it stopped she flunked the needle out as if she was fed up with me and tossed the half-empty sample in the tray. Now I have a Labcorp test result that is... missing. There wasn't enough blood so I need to re-take it. She didn't wear a name tag as Labcorp employees are required to. For those with hard-to-find veins who visit the Quarry Lake location, AVOID the woman! You'll get badly bruised and most importantly, you won't get your test results. She is a short, slim black woman who wears a hijab (Islamic head covering). read more

The Quarry Lake Labcorp is consistently top-notch! Although the office is usually busy, patients are treated courteously and without delay. In addition, I've found the technologists to be extremely skilled here; at other labs, the techs often have to try a handful of times before they're successful, but Taryn always gets into the vein on the first stick! read more

While in the waiting room a technician walked by. Several patients was very happy to see him. They started talking expressing amongst each other how fantastic he was at drawing blood and his professional mannerisms. I'm sitting there thinking, I haven't met a tech yet that can get these tiny veins of my child. Every time that my child have to get blood drawn the technicians have an extremely hard time finding a good vein because his is so tiny. I'm even including when go to the emergency room. He is usually stuck at least 5 times and they always have to call in several others to also attempt to get a vein. I also have had various times where I had to come back because techs didn't draw enough blood after all those attempts. I was SO surprised because when I went to Labcorp at Quarry Lake, this technician (I can't remember his real name but I remember he said he always calls himself Lamar (lol). He )was able to find the vein on the first attempt. Even my child was shocked!!!! He was also extremely professional and child appropriately engaged! Because of this, Quarry Lake is my new go to location for all blood work. With that said, "Great Job Mr. Lamar . Thank you for being good at what you do". read more

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting LabCorp today for routine lab work. I was met with poor customer service representatives and a waiting area with below average cleanliness. I hope that LabCorp's corporate office focuses on who is representing their company at this location, as well as how they are protecting their patients during this unprecedented and challenging time, as many of their patients tend to be seniors and deserve a higher level of competency. In my experience as a certified phlebotomist, I would not recommend visiting this location, as I won't return here myself, or would feel comfortable working in their lab. read more

They have such a bad attitude here. The female phlebotomist was slamming the doors over and over again coming in and out of the waiting area. She had to go into the bathroom to collect a specimen after someone left and she complained loudly to her coworker on how gross of a mess he made etc. I had an appointment and I waited in my car and I still had to wait a long time in there after they said to come in even though I was the only one left. They didnt know how to enter my insurance in and then since my bloodwork was from an out of state doctor (a neighboring state) that was an additional hurdle. It was a long wait (at least half an hour) and when I asked how much longer the tech told me with a bad attitude that it was because I had an out of state doctor. And then when my doc reviewed my results she said they didnt run some of the tests she requested. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I have been going to this LabCorp location for two years because of Sherri! She is welcoming and does a great job following Labcorps expectations. She makes sure that everything runs efficiently and I get in and out quickly. The unit itself could be repaired but that's on LabCorp for maintaining. read more

This is the worst lab I have been to. Last Friday I waited for over 30 minutes. The Clerk behind the desk was slower than molasses! The Phlebotomist had a real attitude problem. She was complaining about the number of patients and how busy the lab was. She acted as if breathing was taking a toll on her. She clearly needs a job without people contact. She was most unpleasant and very disagreeable. It's a shame because the location is great. It is right in a medical building. If you have no patience for patients, please do us all a favor and find another job! read more
