I woke up early Saturday morning to go and get some labwork done at LabCorp. I think prior this I had gone to one other LabCorp in my life on the other side of Hialeah. Since then, this one opened up and my doctor sent me here for tests. That said, this one felt so warm and cozy, at least in terms of interior design. Spacious, clean, and pretty modern with kiosks for check-in. I know this is all due to COVID-19, but I was still pretty impressed. There were lots of people there, but it didn't feel crowded and everything was easy peasy. Upon entering, I had already checked in on my mobile device, so really the only question I had was: What do I do with the paperwork my doctor gave me? I eventually got to the front and asked. Gave it to the guy at the desk, but really I could have just given to whomever attended me. Never got asked for my driver's license or insurance card, even upon leaving, but then I realized the paper I turned in had that. Well, that and my history hasn't changed, so I was clearly in the system. This is something I wish they had told me upfront rather than me realizing it. Armando ended up being my phlebotomist. He was amazing. Typically I detest getting blood drawn as I have thin veins, so it's a mission to get a vein and for it to actually drain. I'm so used to being pinched several times, but he did it one go and it was just seamless. Friendly, efficient, and perfect. All in all, a better than expected experience in Hialeah. They just need to work some minor organizational issues, and well, maybe speak some English. I didn't see one person there speaking it. read more

This is honestly the best labcorp I've ever been to. I didn't have an appointment for Saturday morning and I Was expecting to be there for a while and that was not the case. I probably waited less than 10 minutes. My son needed some blood work done and he is not the easiest kid to have blood drawn. The older gentleman with glasses (I wish I would have gotten his name), was beyond amazing. And the doctor has the blood work by Tuesday morning. read more

Honestly, it is the third time I have gone to this place with appoiment and they left me sitting next to my son for more than 45 minutes having arrived extremely early, poor treatment from the people at the front desk and when I went to complain at the window they told me: They are going to call them and it doesn't happen. It is unacceptable that this happens in these times. I absolutely do not recommend it. Considering the volume they get their service is relatively fast. Come prepared for the fact that you are in Hialeah and your experience will be ok. They do need to improve their customer service , I saw several patients who struggle to use their check in machine and they offered very little help. On the other hand, I was in a hurry due to another appointment and they made their best effort to tend me faster . I keep coming back here because they are conveniently located , A ok! read more

I hate the cold non human aspect you get here . Even if you are just dropping off lab work it's a stupid computer check in process . I'm Never doing a LabCorp drop off again or anything . Ridiculous amount of people and not enough help Today I was moved to be an advocate for my community because of the Labcorp disgraceful business practices . This was the most non-human experience I have ever dealt with in healthcare. Since mostof the patients are elderly and computer illiterate and non-English speakers you have implemented a very cold computer check in process with no option for an in person assistance. I experienced chaotic moments where the younger patients were helping six elderly sign in to their machines . They are very understaffed an only had 2 to 3 employees to draw blood to prepare specimens and work the desk with a waiting room of about 30 people . The elderly were complaining how they were hungry because they've been fasting since last night and have been waiting for three hours with an appointment to get their lab work done this is simply unacceptable and is simply corporate greed at this point Americans are now receiving some Third World level customer service from this business No surprise I called the corporation to file a complaint and I was told that they were going to send an email to a supervisor so I could get called back. An email Huh ? So impersonal so cold No American should have to deal with this level of service and operational dysfunction. If you absolutely have to go to the blood suckers, then this location might be worth the trip. My daughter recently had to do the 3 hour glucose tolerance and this was the only location that was available on a Saturday. We arrived pretty much when they opened, so her first draw was pretty quick. However, we sat there for 3 hours and noticed that most people only waited for about 15 mins max. There appeared to be a lot of employees. And they seemed to be actually working, not just shooting the breeze. It's a heck of a long drive for me, especially since I have a Labcorp that's just 2 minutes from my house. But if this is the norm at this location, you might want to cross the border into Hialeah. read more

I walked into Labcorp at 970 West 49 St. Hialeah, FL, and said "Good morning" to the 2 customer reps who were having a conversation at the front desk but I was ignored. I assumed that maybe they couldn't hear me so I had to repeat myself for the 2nd time and then I was greeted with a smile and a "Good morning". When my name was called I walked up and handed in my paperwork, the woman at the front desk took my paper and with an attitude shoveled the paper back to me and said "We don't do that here" She gives me a paper circle the address of where I needed to go. In all the years I've used Labcorp I have never been treated with such indignation. This woman was rude and needs to be RETRAINED on her customer service skills. Question... Is this the usual behavior of the employees at this location??? I hope not! I decided to go to the Coral Gables location of Labcorp. The 2 women who helped me out were nothing less than PERFECT!!! Never going to any Labcorps again!!! Not only is the service horrible here, but even after I showed them my insurance card they didn't care to inform me that my insurance wasn't active anymore. I had no idea and I received a bill for $1,500 from them for simple bloodwork that my doctor request as a check-up. That is insane, this is the same as my rent. read more
