Labcorp sits inside Baptist Health. It was a quick sign up online although they also take walk-ins. An email confirmation was sent and I was able to load my insurance details. A kiosk is at the entrance. I checked in and had it scan my license. My lab order wasn't in the system but I was guided on the fax number to share with my doctor's office. The technician drawing my blood also checked me in. She was upbeat and made the experience easier for a person that is afraid of needles. No pain, no bruise. Fast and easy. I will definitely schedule myself back at this location, when needed.

Thankfully, when I arrived, I didn't have an appointment, but they took me as a walk-in within 10 minutes. Although I couldn't provide a sample at first, they were understanding and told me I could come back by 3:40 p.m. I rushed back at 3:25, only to find them closing a bit early, but they let me in. I still had no luck providing a sample, but they were flexible and let me take a cup home, allowing me to drop it off later with an appointment. They also helped figure out where to send the results by cross-checking the system after I provided my doctor's info. The staff was great overall, but I gave one less star due to the early door locking.

The system then blaringly loudly announces I'm patient 101. Strange as this hadn't happened to previous check in patient. Many minutes pass & a very rude young female employee comes out and asks for whoever 101 is. Proceeds to state I did not finish checking in. I told her I got to final screen and got the loud announcement. Then she asks if I have an appointment. No, my Dr said to just drop this off. States I still have to be called back and registered in and that'll take awhile as a walk in: At this point, the rude attitude was enough. I said ok I'll need to come back tomorrow. I need to return to work. Can you schedule a drop off time tomorrow? No, you can just go online and find an appointment. LabCorp does not operate like this! If I have a choice it's LabCorp for me for any future needs. After, I of course, complete this situation hopefully tomorrow.

Look. I wasn't happy about being here or having to pay for…read moreanother test. And the screening and test I had was unpleasant to say the least. But everything else about the experience was strangely pleasant. The gowns for the exam rooms were long enough and big enough to not struggle with. There is a more private interior waiting room for just the patients. Despite the unpleasantness of the reason for the visit, the staff was pleasant, calm, and gentle. The rooms were kept a comfortable temperature, and the instruments were conscientiously made a warmer temperature as well. They do try to make it as not-awful as possible.
