Happened to be in the Pasadena area and thankfully they had a Labcorp close by. Needed to get some lab work done that I just didn't make time for. They opened up early in the morning. Found plenty of free street parking. Took the elevator up to the 2nd floor and did the easy self-check in. Waited for only a few minutes in the waiting area before I was called up to the registration desk to provide my lab paperwork. There was only one other person waiting ahead of me. After I gave my paperwork, the lab tech was ready for me. Everything looked clean. Very friendly technician and did a great job drawing up my blood quickly. Hardly felt a thing. Back in my car and off to do more errands! Quick and easy service.

This is a few hours after blood draw...

So, in the continuing saga of the ever-growing bruise from my January 31st blood draw, this will be the final image of my elbow. Clearly, no reply from corporate and dare I wonder if this is the reason my results that were promised on Tuesday have not been shared?

This place is a whole zoo

I will NEVER go to ANY labcorp again, I DO NOT care if it is in my doctor's IPA group. I called my insurance grievance dept and got an override to go back to using Quest. Like the other reviews say- Stay away from this clown show here on Green street. But the other locations arent much better. Labcorp is unreliable in their results and they have the worst customer/patient service. So glad someone told me that I can file a grievance with my insurance and request an override so I dont have to go to labcorp at all anymore. Keyword is access of quality patient care.

    Room 4

Absolutely ZERO privacy. Uncomfortably tiny waiting room but whatever They made me check in and show my ID/Insurance at the kiosk only to ask for it again at the desk..so then what was the point of the kiosk? As I made eye contact with patients in the waiting room while getting my blood drawn in "Room 4", I couldn't help but feel like entertainment for everyone. Surely this setup wasn't intentional..? Thankfully I didn't get Room 2, directly in front of the waiting room. Without a door or hospital curtains to shield me disrobing, I had to sit there suffering in silence as men my fathers age ogled at me the entire time! When I brought it up to the staff, he said, "oh really?? That's not good." Service provider wasn't gentle with me either, I can tell she was rushing to move on to the next person. I do not suggest coming here. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Update: Also irked that they call your name out-loud to everyone, at the top of their lungs. Now this wouldn't be such a big deal if they did a better job at attempting to be discreet about why you're visiting. It's deplorable that the entire waiting room can hear "Susie Joe" and the service provider talking about how she came in for an STD test, has high blood pressure, etc. We might as well had been in the room with them!

Rude. Never notified and I had a SCHEDULED appointment. Now I was directed to another lab Corp waiting over an hour now...

I didnt have an appointment and came in around 12:30 to do blood work. They have kiosks where you check in. There were about 4 or 5 people ahead of me. I was called and the front desk gave me a cup and said you can do it now while you wait. Not knowing what she was talking about.. I told her i didnt think i could poop atm but it was just a urine sample. Bathroom didnt have much towels or toilet paper but at least they had them. After i waited about 20 minutes to get my blood drawn. The second time I came, I checked in at 10:30 AM and was told I would be guaranteed to undergo the urine drug testing. At 11 AM, a staff member announced that they were no longer guaranteeing drug tests, and that if we wanted to wait it would be another two hours. Three hours later, I was finally seen, which was incredibly inconvenient as I was nursing/pumping and staff failed to provide a place for me to do so. On top of all of this, two staff members were in the back gossiping about patients that had come and gone at a very loud level. They were so loud to the point where the front desk staff had to go back and tell the employees that they were being heard. I hope to never be back here ever again...

I came in with severe thoracic/scapular pain that had escalated to the point where I was struggling to think clearly or function normally, and the staff treated me with professionalism, urgency, and compassion from start to finish. As a new patient, check in was quick and straightforward. The gentleman at reception was courteous, thorough, and efficient, and I was brought back within about 15 minutes. Vitals and history were taken promptly and professionally, and I did not wait long before the provider came in. What stood out most to me was how the provider communicated. I'm a critical care nurse, and she treated me both as a patient and as a fellow healthcare professional. She listened carefully, asked appropriate questions, explained the plan clearly, and genuinely heard my concerns and suggestions. The treatment plan was thoughtful and appropriate for the level of pain I was experiencing. She had already planned Toradol and Decadron injections, which helped significantly, and when I later asked about adding Flexeril for the muscle spasm component, she was receptive and quickly addressed it. The gentleman who administered the injections was also personable, professional, and genuinely skilled. Two glute injections and honestly some of the smoothest IM shots I've had. Most importantly, I left feeling heard, respected, and substantially better. Within about 30 minutes my pain level had dropped dramatically and I finally felt like I could think clearly again. Healthcare workers remember places that treat patients well when they are vulnerable, and this clinic absolutely earned my trust. They've gained a returning patient if I ever need urgent care again.

Overall, I do not recommend a place that doesn't take care of its patients, show a little compassion for elderly that are trying to check in on the kiosk. This place is horrendous. It's not everyday you find out that your mom is having heart failure, come in feeling devastated/hopeless, but these people did their absolute best to take care of us with compassion, integrity, and go above and beyond to address our needs. This entire process was almost 2-3 months long, my mom had a complex 15 hour surgery, and yet made a recovery in less than 2 weeks, and was discharged today and is now soundly back at home, and it's all because of the incredible team here. There's a lot of people to name from their amazing staff but here's some specific people that left an incredible impression on us I'd love to give credit to: Station 45: Sydney the nurse was extremely warm, compassionate, and took such great care of my mom during the initial stages of her being admitted in January while they were diagnosing her condition. Critical Care Unit: Joe, Cassie, Cesar who treated my mom with the utmost respect, patience, dignity, and care given her post op condition. No matter how much assistance was needed by my mom, big or small, they attended to her swiftly in all manners, continually provided me reassurance, and thoughtfully answered any and all questions and concerns. Extra special shout out to Felicia Sanders and Haig who went above and beyond to provide my mom with the utmost comfort, you both were angels. Step down unit, floor 2, of West Tower: Shannon, Letty Martinez, Jazzmin, Elena, Becky, Gloria, Robert, Rhonald, Carlos, Art, Brenton, and Jed. Wow this team was also incredible. They continually checked on my mom as well through the day and night, encouraged her walking and movement, breathing treatment, independence, and literally guided her every step of the way in that journey. Extra special shout out to: Hailey Milsark, Mary Cavena, Emily, and Yolanda. I visited her everyday, and never once had to leave with any doubt or worry in my heart and soul, knowing she was in exceptional hands. Cardiothoracic surgery team: Dr Lim, Dr Bob, Dr Andy Chang, Elysa Guran, Melissa, Sunita Boparai, and of course, Dr Armin Kiankhooy and Dr Grace Huang who performed miraculous work in a lengthy, complex, and demanding procedure(s). There isn't enough words to describe our awe at the superhuman job you did to put my mom on the path of recovery and healing given her initial diagnosis. We feel extremely blessed and count our lucky stars that the universe gave us the good fortune to have been put under your guidance and care. Sorry to anyone I may have accidentally missed, but we truly love and appreciate you all. We recognize how difficult your work and job is, and just how demanding it is, and yet you all were continually at it, day and night, with the highest positive attitudes and energy and it made all the difference for us in our healing. You are all the real heroes and we hope you get all the credit and respect you deserve, because this was one of the hardest things we had to go through in this journey of life, and you all made it as pleasant and smooth of an experience as could be. In our experience, we were treated with love, care, dignity, and gentleness, and made to feel like we were a part of their family/friends. I'm no medical expert, but I believe the high level of care we received here is why my mom is making such an exceptional recovery. You all have helped give her a new lease on life. We are truly grateful beyond the words I was able to write here.

A CT scan was performed, but the radiologist apparently misread the results. My appendix had already ruptured and I had an appendicular abscess forming around what remained of it. Because of this error, I was left without surgery for an additional night while in excruciating pain. Surgery did not occur until the following evening. When I was taken into the surgical room, there was blood on the ceiling, which was shocking and unsettling to see before a procedure. After surgery, I was placed in the maternity ward being used as overflow because there were no available rooms. The room felt like a closet. The TV did not work, and the monitoring system initially didn't work either--they had to go find another one. I was given a PureWick catheter device to urinate with, and it was never changed during my stay. I later developed a severe urinary tract infection. A nurse in my family told me these devices are supposed to be replaced multiple times a day. One night after surgery around 3 AM, I woke up in excruciating pain and repeatedly pressed the nurse call button, but the remote didn't work. I could hear nurses laughing nearby but no one responded until I gathered enough strength to yell out. Only then did staff come in. I also remember a night when blood was drawn and the nurse smelled strongly of alcohol, which was extremely concerning. Overall, the experience was chaotic, painful, and deeply unsettling. Between the diagnostic error, the lack of responsiveness, and poor post-operative care, I would strongly caution anyone to think twice before going to this ER if other options are available.
