This place needs some serious organization. From having someone help people at a kiosk for check in or better yet get another kiosk. Another thing is a lot of walk ins were seen before people with an appointment. I had to wait 2+ hours to get blood drawn. This facility needs to be ran more appropriately. And there is accessible water in this unit number. I was looking at the elderly waiting with me and it's terrible that there wasn't accessible water. Overall, I do not recommend a place that doesn't take care of its patients, show a little compassion for elderly that are trying to check in on the kiosk. This place is horrendous. I would suggest going to the Quest in Arcadia which has much more workers, bigger facility and you get in and out of there according to your time of appointment. Excellent experience. Marcela helped me with my labs. She was wonderful. Kind. Gentle. Warm. I enjoyed my conversation with her during my process. I recommend this lab highly. Yesterday was my first visit to this location. Everything went very smoothly. Marta drew my blood. She is the best phlebotomist I've ever experienced!!!! I donate blood often to the Red Cross and I had blood tests for many years (I'm 67). It is often difficult to do my blood draw because I have rolling veins. Martha did it easily, quickly, on the first try with no pain or jabbing and no bruise!!! She is friendly and highly professional. read more

The lab tech here is amazing. He might have been the best phlebotomist I have had blood drawn from. However, whoever does the billing billed the wrong insurance and now for over 6 weeks I have been stuck with the burden of proving that Quest is at fault while their system keeps sending me threatening bills over and over and over. I have called and have sent messages online to no avail but the erroneous bill still stands. I will update this review if anything changes. BE AWARE that the system billed my insurance from over 5 years ago even though the correct current information was shown!! read more

Tuesday morning, arrived at 8:40 am as a walk-in. Checked in through the kiosk, kiosk said wait time could be between 30 minutes to 1 hour for walk-in. Waited an hour and 15 minutes, spoke with a white man with brown hair who told me that there was no guarantee to be seen before lunch time. This Quest location was incredibly efficient in my recent (first) visit. The front desk took about 5 minutes to create a file for me since I had never been there. I was called in soon after and all of the bloodwork took about another 5 minutes. Both guys I saw here were professional. I tried to make an appointment but the earliest date offered was several days out so I decided to try a walk in visit. I also came at a bad time. Impossible to get service. Since the Pandemic, Green St location doesn't take walk-ins, although the recording g says all locations do. Appointments must be made on-line. Considering g how many seniors need their services, this is a hardship if you don't have computer skills. You can call-- but no human being to help. You have a robo- operator ask what day you want. Then it says "Not Available" and asks for your next idea. Considering what they charge, is this really the best a healthcare provider can do? The technician was a complete jerk and no help whatsoever. This was my 2nd attempt to try to get bloodwork done WITH AN APPT. And rather than try to help me he was like, without your prescription - there's nothing I can do. I found out later that my doctors office could've faxed the prescription to this specific location, but that would require someone to actually give two shits about the patients they're supposed to be helping. (OH and all the elderly patients are completely flummoxed when it comes to the QR codes -- can you please read the room and help them help you by not even asking for this? It only confuses them. And hire one technician to make sure that all those in the waiting room have actually been helped -- is it really that hard to care about those with health issues? Waited over an hour for an appointment for a simple blood draw. If walk-ins are accepte , there needs to be some further consideration given to those who made appointments. The DMV has figured this out and the system works very well. Those without appointments queue up and those without can march through. I made an appointment with the automated system. When I showed up after fasting 12 hrs, the kiosk told me there was no appt. I tried to request walk in and it said there was nothing available. I hit "Reschedule" and it said nothing available! I tried to call from home -- you can't talk to anyone! It's either the automated voice on the phone or a website of FAQs. This review is for Quest on Madison in Pasadena, CA. It was all quite easy! As a non-tech-savvy senior, I'm glad I watched the short video ahead of time (on the website) about what to expect upon arrival, as I knew to stop at the bright green kiosk to check in. It was easy to follow the prompts on the kiosk and to scan both sides of my ID and insurance card. Two other patients arrived after me and just sat down, looking around. They were expecting a receptionist and did not know to use the kiosk until I told them that's how they need to check in. Parking was easy, though the machine outside the back lobby only took credit cards, not cash. Wish my doctor had told me ahead of time to fast before the lab tests and that a urine sample would be taken--now I know for next time. read more

Really unprofessional staff. My appointment was today (4/6/21) at 2:30PM if anyone at this office is interested in how your staff treats patients. I came in for a test today and my doctor told me to avoid taking any medications a two weeks ahead of time with no other instructions. When I came in for my test, the tech/nurse (he never said who or what he was) asked if I had fasted an hour before the appointment. I said no, I had some water and was chewing gum. He became visibly irritated and rolled his eyes. I told him, "I didn't know. My doctor just said not to take any medications." He said, well doctors don't know anything. I said if my doctor doesn't know, how would I? I told him I didn't get any instructions from Quest telling me to fast an hour before the test. I never raised my voice but the tech was definitely raising his and was getting pretty angry and defensive. He kept talking over me, shouting, "No food, no water, nothing!" I said it's fine I can make another appointment but was bewildered at the unprofessionalism of this employee. He glared at me all the way back out the door. I get that you hate your job but don't take it out on clients. read more

I have the tiniest, shyest veins and had a problem getting blood drawn from every other quest location I visited. Read the reviews for Ben, which are all stellar (!!!) and he lives up to his legend status. Made drawing my blood easy for the first time! AND he is so patient, kind and humble about his famous status!! If you are queasy about needles, then Ben will be your hero. He is mine. Thank you Ben!!! Best Quest ever! Clean, comfortable and with a staff that takes pride in their job and give the best care! I had some very VERY bad experiences in my past that left me terrified of having blood drawn. I would do anything to avoid it, and wouldn't sleep for a week before the appointment. I am so very glad I found this place. Baioni was my Phlebotomist and I pray she stays there a long time. She was so kind, understanding, and changed my whole experience. Bonus... IT DID NOT HURT! I've been going to quest for years and years and my almost permanent location is the one on 3600 N Verdugo in Glendale but today I had no appointment and checked some locations with less walk in wait times and found this location. Walked in to a clean and quite location and helped by the nicest phlebotomists ever to the point that we hugged each other and I left with tears in my eyes. """"She was the Indian lady"""" She mentioned that she is a floater but i hope Quest managements see this review. She restored my faith in humanity and made me believe that human beings still exist. I have terrible veins and I told her. She poked me once and my blood flow stopped. I told her that I'm used to being poked many times and get bruised at the end. Finally she found a vein and drew a lot a blood since my test requires almost 15 tubes. She was nice, gentle, humble, but most importantly a HUMAN. I hope her managers do see this review and give her the proper recognition and appreciation. In medical filed not only you should be an expert at what you do but you should be a human and she was everything and more. She hugged me and wished me well. read more

This morning, my 99-year-old grandmother arrived at this location for lab's requested by her doctor. This location states that it does take walk-ins.. the staff was completely rude. There was an African-American woman that was apparently a phlebotomist as well as reception. If this place takes walk-ins, they need to adjust the system because my grandmother waited over an hour and ultimately had to leave , she was never updated on if she would be able to be seen anytime soon mind you she wasn't able to eat before this. I went here recently for all of my labs the other day. Big mistake. No receptionist means you have to navigate their horrible check in process. Problem is their scanner doers not work and ultimately it is easier to check in as a walk in, verses having an appointment like 80% of the fellow patients. Phlebotomist candidly share their new system has been a problem for three weeks and that the company has not done anything to remedy the situation. He added the company told them no receptionist would make the phlebotomist more responsible. Would eliminate any erroneous information on intake/check in. All BS to me. They just are looking to maximize profit at patients costs. What a joke! Avoid! read more

I come here every month. The one phlebotomist works so hard but the wait is always and hour with or without appointment. I came today after posted lunch time. Signed in and wait said 21 minutes. After 20 minutes, wait said 13 minutes. Then the phlebotomist put up his break sign and left. Because he hadn't had a lunch break. Staff really needs more help and Quest doesn't staff properly so employee can get breaks and patients can be accommodated. It's so frustrating. read more

I've been to this Quest location twice, both during the pandemic. Both times, I was checked in promptly and waited less than 5 minutes with no one else in the waiting room. Both times my blood draw was easy and as painless as it could be. I have small veins and often it's a problem, and I end up getting poked multiple times and it gets gruesome. During both visits, the phlebotomists were able to get it on the first try. Ben did my blood draw today, and he was great - calm and efficient. read more

would give 0 stars if possible. the staff is so slow and poorly managed. there is a growing list of walk ins and appointments and yet only two people are able to be seen at once? and keep in mind they charge for parking and there is no validation so you have to wait for these employees to get off their butts and pay for all the time you spend waiting for them to do their jobs. makes no sense why they have a list of 10+ waiting and only see two at a time when there are over 4 rooms available and then still have the audacity to charge you $12 for parking. poor service and a waste of time. not sure why quest diagnostics is still used as a primary lab work source. read more
