I went for a routine blood draw. What resulted is significant bruising and pain. It has been a week with little reduction. I stopped by the facility on Monday to have the situation documented and was told someone would reach out to me. It's now Thursday and I haven't heard from anyone. As a patient we need to know that when we make medical choices we are dealing with true professionals that genuinely care about our well being. I think they have severely missed the mark. i cannot recommend this facility or company for a variety of reasons. I'm so very disappointed as to how this has been handled. Colleen at the front desk is so pleasant and does the work of 4 people! She's amazing! The first time I ever got blood drawn where I didn't even feel a pinch at alll, request Dr. Pablo Pablete! Definitely make an appointment this is in a busy location and have your ID and license card ready to scan at the self serve machine or know your info to enter manually! I was in and out in 15 minutes. Make sure you go to the front and mention your appointment. Highly recommend!! read more

I go to Labcorp yearly for lab work for my physical, and usually it is a great experience. Front desk staff was great as usual. Their "wait where you are comfortable" check-in works well also. This time the phlebotomist that worked on me must have been having a bad day. The "stick" was fine... well done, no problems there. Just unusual, not offensive or anything. Could have been many reasons... so not upset about it. Just very noticeable... and I don't think I did anything that would have caused it. But maybe next time will be better. Their credit card policy has become a point of frustration during my annual preventative bloodwork. Each year when I come in for my routine bloodwork which is fully covered by my insurance under preventative care, I'm asked to provide a credit card to keep on file "just in case" the insurance doesn't cover it. I always explain that this lab work falls under my annual wellness benefit and is covered 100%. Despite this, I'm told it's policy and that I must provide a card to which I refuse and advise them to bill me if need be. I find this not only unnecessary but also concerning. If a charge is denied by insurance for this routine bloodwork, it's often due to incorrect billing codes, which can be resolved through proper resubmission. Instead of placing that burden on patients. I believe their billing department should verify coverage and ensure proper coding before the visit. This would prevent unnecessary stress and avoid the appearance of preemptively expecting payment for something insurance is supposed to cover. read more

As soon as I realized Labcorp was responsible for my Drug Screening, I dreaded it because from previous experience, the wait time has always been extremely long even with an appointment. You make your appointment online and it's hard getting someone on the phone. They will redirect you to their website to schedule an appointment. Thankfully, lots of appointments available throughout each day! When you arrive, you checkin at a kiosk that requires you to scan your ID. The front desk will redirect you to the kiosk...I feel like they were understaffed because there were a good number of people ahead of me and not enough staff to help. I arrived at 1:45pmEST which is the suggested time to arrive prior to my 2:00pmEST appointment but they didn't call me for my urine sample until 2:45pmEST which I ended up on asking about where I was in the queue because I was about to pee my pants! Decor is minimal and could use some sprucing up...one TV in the corner of the waiting room like a long dining hall. Parking isn't an issue! read more

Not a terrible experience but less than "A-OK". I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment time, checked in early, and was told it wouldn't take long. There were several folks waiting already. After a while everyone else was called in, including folks that arrived after me. After waiting 45 minutes I let them know my appointment was fifteen minutes ago. For whatever reason I wasn't checked in anymore and they had to do it over. I was called in a couple of minutes later. The lab technicians were friendly and helpful. My appointment lasted about five minutes. Although this lab was lackluster in decor, it was very clean. The news was on TV in the waiting area and I got stuck listening to awful Trump. I think HGTV should be the standard waiting room channel everywhere. read more

Sadly, all the one and two star reviews are completely accurate. This place is so inefficient and unorganized, it's kind of shocking that they have been open for so long. Unfortunately, they are the required lab facility on my health insurance, plus on my way to work, so they are the sensible option for me. They just started opening at 6:30 am, which I took as a sign that they would process people earlier, and I would get out quicker. Wrong. It just means you can wait in the waiting room versus standing outside by the front door. At one point in today's visit, they had 13 people in the waiting room, while just one person was in the back getting his blood drawn. It took them 50 minutes to get through 3 people (keep in mind each person takes about 5-10 minutes). They skipped around the sign-in sheet to take someone after me into a room because this person "comes in all the time". The one decent part of my visits are usually the people I deal with to draw my blood for lab work. They are usually kind and organized, which I appreciate. They also seem to get my results to my doctor in a very timely manner, which is also helpful. These are the main reasons for two stars instead of the one star I was tempted to give. I'm sure I'll be back because I don't have a choice, but I'll dread every minute of it. read more

Just expect them to be running about half an hour behind and you'll be fine. The bar for this experience was set very low from the point of setting my appointment. Labcorp said I could do it online or by phone. I tried online first. I needed to register for a glucose test, but it wasn't an option! I choose routine blood test and then sent a comment to ask if this was ok. I then tried to call to make an appointment. Although glucose test was an option on the phone, the system hung up on me. Then customer service called me because of my comment. I missed the call and the only message they left was to say that I could set up an appointment online or on the phone, which didn't answer my question at all. At this point I decided to call customer service because I didn't want to show up for an appointment and learn I did it wrong (especially since I had to fast for 14 hours before). It took about 15 minutes to get through, but I'm glad I took the time because it turns out I did have to sign up for a glucose test (even though it wasn't an option on the website). The employee canceled my scheduled appointment and gave me a new one. There was only one time available in the next couple of days so I took what she gave me, 8:30 a.m. on a Friday. After I went through all of this my bar was set very low for the actual appointment. I had to be there for three hours to take the glucose test. Basically, they drew my blood every hour on the hour for three hours. The good news for me is that meant I was pretty high priority since there were certain times I needed to be seen. Bad news is I was stuck there for three hours. However, this means I got to see a lot. My appointment was at 8:30 a.m. I checked in at 8:20 a.m. and I was seen for my first blood drawn at 8:45 a.m. 15 minutes late wasn't that bad, my bar was set pretty low. There was a guy that got mad when my name was called because his appointment was at 8:15 a.m. so he had been waiting for half an hour. I would gladly switch with him since three hours later he wasn't there but I still was. The employee who drew my blood was quick and efficient. She did a good job making sure I had my blood drawn every hour. The waiting room really fluctuates throughout the day. At 8:30 there were quite a few empty seats, by 10 a.m. almost every seat was taken and by 11:30 it was only a third full. They do have wifi, but it is slow as molasses. Some pages won't ever load. Just assume you'll be internet free during your wait and be pleasantly surprised if the wifi is faster. My experience wasn't bad enough that I'd go out of my way to find another lab. Other than the headache of scheduling (which isn't an issue if you fall under one of the actual options they give you), my time there wasn't terrible. read more

I go to this lab Corp every 3-4 months for Routine blood work. You have to understand there is always a wait- even when you have an appointment. That's fine. I take this time to relax and check all my email and social media in the waiting room. They have complimentary water and a tv in the lobby. The staff is friendly and the phlebotomists are very good. I'm usually a "hard stick " but they do a great job. Drink a lot of water before you come here AND be patient. read more

Labcorp, regardless of location tend to be a bit rough. Labcorp and Quest have essentially a monopoly so customer service, staffing, and overall customer experience is irrelevant to them. This location feels like your at a free clinic run by the UN in a third world country. Hollywood should create a reality show based on the waiting room in a Labcorp. read more

I'm not normally the type to write up reviews on places not involving food, but I have to give Labcorp's Sheldon site some props. I've been getting my lab work done here for 5 or 6 years now and I've seen tremendous improvement with their timeliness and their staff. When United Healthcare first began forcing members to use Labcorp, the staff here was slovenly and slow as hell. I used to count on being there for at least 1 hour just to get blood drawn. Now, you can book an appointment online, and you're looking at 15-20 minutes MAX. Plus, the staff is a lot more fun and presentable. People who work in healthcare, especially labs, shouldn't be robotic drones, and the newer staff is definitely not that. read more

Was still waiting to be called back at 11:40 so decided to reconfirm benefits included LabCorp. Thankfully I looked because LabCorp is not in-network for Aetna!! I was sent I my OBGYN to LabCorp to take my glucose tolerance 3hrs test. These lab workers told me to keep track of time because it was not their responsibility to keep track. Although I think it is they had to ensure they take my levels at 1hr, 2hr and 3hrs after taking the glucose drink. Well I'm sorry my phone battery was dying and there were no clocks for me to visually keep time. I told them they were gonna need to remind me because there was no way I could tell time and they rolled their eyes at me. I asked the lady to use the butterfly needle and didn't care just used the biggest gauge she could. Also I'm a pregnant lady with lots of nausea issues. She told me to drink the drink fast. I told her I'm trying but I don't wanna end up vomiting. They were just rude and didn't care. read more

This LabCorp appointment setting/scheduling and check it was easy and quick. The issue i had was their blood pressure machines. It was very old and gave me a really high reading. I have a BP machine at home (recommended by my Dr) that i monitor my BP periodically and my reading was pretty normal before and after the LabCorp reading today. And they only take the first reading on their machine as the recorded one "per their policy". (Good, bad or indifferent) as the tech suggested. They refused to take a second or third reading to see consistency and usually places will take the lower of the 3 readings. I insisted to the tech to take a 2nd reading just to see if the high numbers come back. During the testing the machine did some crazy thing and started again and again like it had issues. So i pointed that out and stopped the test. It was very obvious that the machine was having issues starting and stopping. The tech totally dismissed it and recorded a number that is 35 points higher than what i just took at home. My BP machine gives consistent readings as to the one at my Dr. office. Their BP machines either needs calibration or a replacement. Be careful if they diagnosis you with high BP and get a second opinion from your primary. Not to mention that most of that staff is pretty rude and they just want you in and not engage in conversation nor take the time providing customer service. They tend to talk down to you. read more

The young lady in the front is very kind and professional, she did a really good job of keeping me updated and getting me in quickly. My appointment was at 7:45 and I went back around 8:15 which wasn't bad at all. SHE is the only reason I'm giving it one star because the technician in the back, Lori, was awful! She was rude, didn't give instructions as to what she wanted and then was super abrasive when you didn't ALREADY know what to do. She then told me that she would be taking a hair sample as requested by my company (no fault of hers) but she told me she needed to take two 2 inch chunks out of the back of my head (I have long hair), several people including her co worker up up front told her that that she was incorrect but she was persistent. The company requesting the sample even called to tell her she needed to take much less and finally she agreed to take one 1.5 inch chunk instead. So I agreed and when we got back there she was very rough and in a hurry, she pushed down so hard with the scissors that she scrapped my scalp to the point where it actually hurt a lot and then ended up taking a three inch chunk anyways. I am furious and I highly recommend you NOT going to this location. If you do REQUEST not to have Lori, she is unprofessional and terrible. read more

Made an appointment for 7:30, which was the earliest available when I made the appointment online. Got there at 7:08am. At 7:40 I asked about my appointment and was told they'd get to me as soon as they could. Finally called me in around 7:50 and said they had made a mistake with placing my paperwork in the queue. Lab person verified my info on the paperwork, but that was it. When I had used Quest (previous insurance), they always had me initial the paperwork, then showed me the labels on every tube of blood they drew, which gave me a lot of confidence in them. Plus they always got me in at my appointment time, which is important when you have to work. I think next time I will try a different location and see if it goes better. read more
