At the same time, another employee positioned an iPhone near where we were standing, which made us feel uncomfortable and singled out. We are both African American, and the behavior of the employees felt prejudiced and unnecessary. We entered the store fully intending to purchase fragrances, but left feeling disappointed and unwilling to spend our hard-earned money in an environment where we felt judged rather than welcomed.

This particular Nordstrom Rack is in The Block Northway shopping center. This Nordstrom Rack has two floors. The top level contains merchandise for men, children, and home, and the bottom level contains merchandise for women. I focused on the women's clothing. I saw an assortment of shirts, pants, shorts, dresses, coats, and other apparel that previous retailers could not sell. I recognized brands such as Calvin Klein and Nike, but I had not previously heard of some of the other brands. I thought that the prices were low to moderate. I decided to purchase a pair of UnionBay shorts for $23. The cashier quickly and correctly rang up my purchase.

i really don't know how to go about this review…read more I stopped in duing my lunch one day. I mean a thrift store in an upper class area? yes please! The first thing I noticed is that they offer a lot of purses. Some were really cute and in good shape. While browsing shoes I saw a pair of red Keds that looked newer. I also saw a pair of sperrys that weren't too bad. I browsed the home selection which had alot of plates, cups and vases. other items seemed to be worn down. I didn't leave with shoes or a purse, but I did find a cute sweater (American eagle brand) and its was $5! great find. My problem with this goodwill is the layout--- of both the store and the parking lot. The store was crazy busy during my lunch at 1pm. I mean BUSY! I couldn't even find a parking spot! There was another car In front of me waiting for a spot.. so a lined formed to even PARK here.. The layout inside is awkward if you ask me. The aisles are very tiny. no way can 2 carts get through. There's got to be a better system. some aisles are vertical, others are horizontal which makes things even more crowded. The goodwill by my house in southside is always changing its layout to change things up and give the store some new life by moving stuff around. it was waayyy too tiny in here. Add a crap ton of people and it was not the best thrift store experience. I love thrifting and im sure great finds can be purchased here, but browsing and taking your time is nearly impossible since theres no room for other carts and its over crowded. I'll try back one day after work to see if the crowd is smaller at that time.

I've found recently on a few visits to local stores that they have raised prices on everything. What used to cost $2 now seems to cost $4 or more. I recently saw a picture in a frame that I thought was nice. They had a $25 sticker on it and the frame and glass were cracked. Some of the clothes I can find cheaper on clearance at Walmart or Target. I have also seen items with the original price sticker from when they were bought, and a Goodwill sticker beside it with a higher price. I understand they want to make more profits but let's be reasonable. People come to Goodwill for the bargains. I rarely go anymore.

It has some vacant storefronts, but most are occupied and offer a good selection of clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, beauty and hygiene products, chocolates, books, kitchenware, home decor, tools, and much more. For several years, I have shopped at this outlet mall. My favorite stores are Calvin Klein, Eddie Bauer, Lucky Brand, and The North Face, but I shop in dozens of the other stores as well. I think that the prices are low to moderate, and I do some decent shopping here. The restaurants are casual and sell foods such as pretzels, chocolates, donuts, and sandwiches. An Eat 'n Park is across the street. Furthermore, this outlet mall has a playground area for children and a nice bridge with plants in the middle. The parking lot has an adequate number of spaces and is free.

The sunglasses carts are at the sidewalks near the far end past the food court. On the way to NY, we stopped in a few stores. They had some really good sales for back-to-school, but we were on a mission for a few specific items. And, we do not go back to school in the traditional way. Haha. Nike and Samsonite are two of our favorite stores to check out. (December) We are back in the Pittsburgh area and opted for Grove City for some last-minute Christmas shopping. Samsonite had exactly what we were looking for and good sales. The newest boutique shop catering to women and children sells the cutest clothing and accessories. I love the POL brand and wanted to shop for myself. The owner (Tara) is very friendly and was so sweet to help me find a gift for my sister and best friend. She even tried on a sweater that I wasn't sure about (sizing). They have the most adorable baby and toddler outfits, too! We also stopped at Lululemon and The Coffee Tree at Joseph's. Highly recommend both. The sales were amazing at Lulu. I think the GC has something for everyone despite being one of the smaller premium outlets I have shopped over the years. We enjoyed the fact that it was not overly crowded.

Their employees never asked for my birthday when setting up my profile, which meant I never received the birthday gift cards they advertise. When I contacted the store to correct it and asked for the past year's missed offer, the owner (Tom Michael) refused, even though the mistake was caused by their own staff. Instead of honoring the gift card I should have received, I was only offered a donation made "in my name" to a charity. While that may sound generous, it doesn't solve the original problem, and it left me feeling like the store wasn't willing to take responsibility for their own oversight. It was a very small request and could have been resolved easily with good customer service, but it wasn't. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend shopping here or trying to resolve any issues directly with the owner. There are plenty of other stores that value their customers and stand behind their promotions.

My husband and I were here most recently on Black Friday 2025, and although the mall had mostly vacant storefronts, many people were walking around. The mall was clean and maintained, and a Christmas train was set up for children. My husband made an analogy and said that the mall reminded him of an old person who was dying but was in a nursing home that took great care of them (!). I needed to use the women's restroom, and an employee kindly told me its location. The restroom was located past the food court, which contained only some restaurants. The restroom looked old but was fairly clean and worked. During this shopping trip, I shopped in the Boscov's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Shoe Dept. Encore. I most liked the Boscov's.

The interior is very pretty for a mall, and there are cute gathering areas in front of two anchor stores. Many storefronts in the interior of the mall are vacant, and finding a reason to come shop is difficult. The mall is owned by Namdar Realty Group, a known slum lord. Unfortunately, the anchors contribute to the issues. The former Macy's is used by U-Haul for self-storage with part being offered for redevelopment. Rural King does not open into the mall. JCPenney is in the process of closing, which is sad as it's a nicer store for this chain. Boscov's will be the only anchor with access from in the mall once JCPenney's closes. Dick's remains as a junior anchor. The food court is still decent and includes Chick-Fil-A and China Max, along with others. It's a shame a mall this nice looking is in this condition, with empty storefronts everywhere. The future of this mall is uncertain at best.
