In an era of dying retail malls, plazas, and outlets, we were pleasantly surprised to find an amazing selection of well stocked stores at Grove City Premium Outlets. It was pretty busy for a Monday. Many times in the past, we've been to "outlet" stores just to find items to close to full retail prices. We actually found some truly great deals in almost every store we shopped.

Pretty cool outlet mall that has a bunch of different stores some of which are high end :) Coming here I didn't really know what all to expect but what I found was several high end stores as well as some just regular ones either way it was a cool little trip to this outlet mall! I'm not sure if they are doing it but they offer a Check-In offer of a coupon book available at guest services all though I couldn't find it it's something to look for next time! The set up is kinda interesting as it has several different buildings that are basically in rows from one another where you will have to walk around the side to get to the next row definitely an older version of what some malls are today! Overall this was a fun and kinda expensive trip but hey I did find several deals and got some awesome new goodies the set up was a bit hard to find exactly what store you were looking for but definitely not the worst I've been to. Who knows when or if I'll get back here again but it would definitely be worth it regardless!

Great outlet mall to find some sweet deals and do some tax free shopping on clothes in the state of Pennsylvania

Stopped here on the way home for dinner on a basketball trip from Buffalo. Leonard, our guide and driver said he had never been and always wanted to. Hey- he's the driver he makes the rules. Upon a quick check, I noticed that the outlets had a Polo store so I was in. We started in the food court, with the options being Chinese, Cheesesteaks, Arby's, Pizza, and Hot Dogs. Why i decided to go with pizza- I have ZERO clue. It was your traditional pick a slice, reheated and pay. $3.89/slice times two? Pizza was awful. I mean AWFUL. But keep in mind, it's a food court. I should have went with the bread and butter of Arbys, but I wanted to get cute with it. Stopped by the Polo store which was dead because of the snow storm. Made a small purchase- and thought about our last trip to the other outlets together. Didn't get the time to look at the other ones - I would go back since it's around the same area for our casino trip. That is- if you aren't done with me here.

Grove City Premium Outlets is a perfect pit stop for our road trip to Pittsburgh.. of course unless you are with friends that turn a pit stop into a 5 hour shopping excursion. But at least shopping at Grove City is one of the closest I am with nature for awhile. That piece of wetland in the middle of the mall is just so neat! Green and lush with plants and the songs of insects, must be mating season. Shopping is decent here. You might not find the high end brands or stores but for everyday clothes for work and play, you won't be disappointed. And of course with no sale taxes, it always makes me smile when I see my receipts! Tips: print the coupons off their website before you shop, that includes a coupon for a free VIP booklet for savings!! Now I think my travel mates must be thinking this road trip is a shopping trip!!

Impressive amount of stores and selection. Food court was actually a food court worth going to.

We were limited on time so I couldn't explore all the shops but here's some feedback on the shops we did visit. Oak Creek Creations: My favorite shop - purchased several items here. Conveniently located near the parking lot. Pricing was fair - compared to the other shops and I loved the selection!! We spend the most time in this shop and will no doubt be returning. There is home décor and even jewelry!! Volant Mills: What a great place to explore.. several floors to browse and my favorite was the top floor which provided history of the mills!! So amazing!! I recommend checking out. I purchased actual "pumpkin spice" here and an antique tray and a cool t-shirt with a tree on it. We spent the most time in this store. Returns are - instore credit only. Kitchen Shoppe: Super cute store with items for your kitchen and coffee too!! I was able to get my favorite - shot in the dark (coffee with expresso). I purchased a beautiful handmade wooden cutting board here. Bottled pop was available too. Wicked Little Witches: Cute store. We didn't stay long since they were under construction but a lot of cool items to browse. A lot of handmade purses and cool home décor. Volant PA is just an amazing place and only an hour drive from Pittsburgh.

Wendell August specializes in gift wear for all types of occasions. They offer a variety of plates, serving dishes, cup rests, holiday ornaments, photo books, and jewelry to name a few. You can purchase the item in either aluminum or bronze which is a bit more expensive. Many of their merchandise is themed to a particular city or area but there are other items dedicated to special occasions such as weddings or having a baby. They do offer engraving but it comes with a fee per letter. They also sell display holders for a modest fee. The work is made in their factory on site. Shipping is available. They do offer some of the beautiful ornaments made by artist Linda Barnicott that feature either scenes of Pittsburgh or Kennywood park. I have shopped here on a number of occasions and found that it is a great place to buy something different outside of the ordinary. They carry other merchandise as well such as tea towels with cute sayings on them. The store is usually not very busy and is worth a short drive when visiting Grove City outlet malls.

This particular store is at Grove City Premium Outlets. When I entered this store, I felt surprised to see merchandise not only for Pittsburgh teams such as the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates and for other local teams such as the Panthers and Nittany Lions, but also for slightly farther-away teams such as the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Buffalo Bills. Of course, those cities are within driving distance, and I assume that the store knows their customers and that the customers travel from those areas to the store. I considered the prices to be moderate to high. I picked out a t-shirt about the city of Pittsburgh. It cost $28, and the cashier promptly and accurately performed his job. The t-shirt looks to be a very good quality and fits my body well.

My hot take on it, more expensive Steve & Barry's (I do miss that chain). I understand that they like to focus on nearby sports teams and schools, but this one felt like it might have missed the mark a bit. I can understand wanting to represent the Pittsburgh teams, and I can see pulling in the Cleveland teams, but the reach they took to represent Buffalo teams was a little much. Yes, this is located in an outlet mall, but I don't think that many people would make the drive from Buffalo all the way down here. Then they had the major universities represented, Pitt and Penn St. But, being located in Grove City, PA, you would have thought they would have had at least one shirt representing the Grove City College Wolverines. Not to mention the many other schools nearby, Slipper Rock, Edinboro, Westminster, Franklin, Thiel... But let's represent cities that are two to three hours away. I felt a bit disappointed even though I do enjoy my Pittsburgh black and gold. Enough with that, I did enjoy the fact that they had more to offer than just clothing. Although some of those prices should have been adjusted. If you are going to post up in and outlet mall with the stretch that you have, you should reflect that in your prices.

Making our way to the outlet this was our first stop in order to get us started. My one niece wanted gear from here and I am kind of happy that I came here. When we did show up we ended up arriving in the midst of a decent sale. I wasn't going to complain with discounted prices. This store, being an outlet location, was set up where the back corner of the store was kids, front left and middle of the store was women's, and the right was men's. The kids section was kind of lacking. When I say this, the stock was out, but not all sizes were represented. There was one hoodie that I wanted to grab, they only had it in a large. A large in the kids section looked more like infant/toddler. I had to move to the women's section to grab what I needed. Although, going to the women's section meant better sizing, which was weird. But less variety. For some reason, the sizes crossed over, what was a women's small/medium, was more of a kid's large, and better suited than what was in the kid's section. But a lot of what was offered was one-toned. In the end, my niece did enjoy what she got. She has worn the two hoodies multiple times and I don't blame her, we are in hoodie weather.
