He listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut and blow out. I was in and out very quickly. I have very thin hair and not a lot of it and he did a really good job. I was using a Groupon and I did not get any "attitude" like you do with some places when you say you're using a Groupon. They were extremely accommodating, and even changed the time of one of my appointments to a more convenient time when they realized it was available. When I arrived at the salon I was greeted warmly and given a comfortable place to sit while waiting for my first appointment. I was having my eyebrows waxed and a manicure and pedicure. Allison did all three services. It was the BEST eyebrow wax I have had in my life. It was practically painless and Allison checked with me throughout to make sure she was shaping them exactly how I wanted. The Groupon was for a gel manicure and gel pedicure, which made those less expensive than the regular manicure-pedicure. Allison was very helpful with picking a color (I'm indecisive). She even added a little extra sparkle for an accent nail without my asking for it. Everyone was so friendly. While I waited for a few minutes before my pedicure I was able to soak my feet and enjoy a glass of wine. (Pinot Grigio - my favorite!). The foot bath is not "jacuzzi" but frankly unless you put your foot right on the jets I never thought that mattered anyway. Care was taken to shape my toenails after my podiatrist had butchered them. After I was done I asked if I could sit and relax a while before getting in the car. I was welcomed and not rushed out. A perfect experience.

Both of my last visits, I made appointments weeks in advance. For my visit in December, they called the day before to tell me there are only 3-4 stylists that can cornrow, and the one I was supposed to have was no longer coming in. It was very inconvenient and instead of getting a style that took 2.5 hours, I spent 6 hours there, the weekend before Christmas, having to get full head braids, because apparently in a braiding shop of 14, only 4 can do cornrows. The next time, although I had an appointment for 8am, the stylist came strolling in at 9:15. And when I asked her what time she starts, she said 9. My daughter was also getting her hair done and her stylist was on time, so I waited for that reason only. Annoying, but I let it go and the owner seemed genuinely sorry. That was until I returned for my final appointment in late March. Again, I made the appointment weeks in advance, and due to my anxiety from the last few times, I called to confirm this a few days ahead and was told everything was set. Also, I made the appointment for 9, since I now knew the stylists actual start time. So imagine my surprise when I walk in the door and my stylist is not only missing, but apparently had told them she wasn't coming in? Keep in mind, no one told me and the owner wasn't even there! One of the other stylists called her and she nonchalantly admits the stylist isn't coming (and uses the same exact excuse she used in December) and I called it out. The stylist who was there was nice enough to offer to take me, (because apparently no one else could do the basic style I wanted) except she already had someone in her chair who clearly wouldn't have been happy either. Meanwhile, Dira is on the phone hearing this, and as the owner, doesn't even offer to help fix her/her employees mistake! Ooo business all around. Long story short, I left and I'm never going back, and if you value your time, you shouldn't either. They don't see their clients as people, they see them as money, and only IF they feel like working that day, will you receive respect, and basic common courtesy. You've been warned!
