I mean, I couldn't even drive there because I couldn't do "mirror, signal, head check (mostly the head check part). I called in and spoke with Adura one of the massage therapists. We made an appointment for 12:30. I arrived at 12:15 for paperwork. Audra explained that she is mostly a "treatment" therapist meaning she does more of the healing instead of the foofy foof. For this particular visit, treatment for my messed up neck was exactly what I needed. I had no time for tom foolery. The room was warm and dark. I loved the music playing; not your typical classical crap. I think this was a greatest hits CD of love songs and it was louder than music at prior massages. Audra was PHENOMENAL. She did rarely talked and worked out so many kinks from my neck and did a lot of different stretching. Very knowledgeable about massage therapy. AND... she rarely spoke. Even though this was a therapeutic massage, it was also relaxing not to hear someone gabbing. Afterwards, I felt great! I was very happy with my massage. I have a few other LMPs I recommend but for anyone with an injury or a sore spot, I recommend Audra M. Stott at Massage on the Ritz. The price is right (regular price is $55 and if you come every 30 days it's $45) so it's worth at least checking out.

There is also no system to leave a message, so no way to request a call back or follow-up. 3 stars (not 1) because I didn't actually receive poor service, I just have received no service at all, having been unable to connect with the business. I hope that they decide to set up some kind of answering service or at least a voicemail to prevent loss of business in the future. I'd like to support our local businesses over the "chains" but when they don't give a dependable way to be contacted - especially after you've already paid for a service - it is extremely difficult to do so.

I was experiencing severe neck and shoulder pain, so I was happy to return for a same day appointment. When I returned I was directed to the waiting room in the back area and offered tea or water. Zen music played at the perfect volume. This area was in the same hallway as the massage rooms and it felt like I was in a real deal massage place, not a strip mall location. Anyway, they have a couple of really good masseuses that I would wait to get because they applied the right amount of pressure and they would remember what areas of my body needed the most work. If you want a super soft rub down, she's your girl, but if you want or need pressure, don't let him stick you with her because he does some of the scheduling too when they are busy. As far as the place, it's tranquil and very nice. The masseuses wait for you in the hallway and greet you with a cup of cold water and ask you how are you feeling which is nice because I've been to places where they have a water machine and you're on your own. If I had anything thing bad to say, it would be that you don't get your full hour of massage time. The start from the time you walk in the room and they are asking you questions about what areas would you like them to concentrate on and then you change clothes but your hour has already start so that's about 15 minutes gone. I always wear clothes that I can get off quickly and the masseuses I try to get already know what's going on with me so our conversation is very brief. An hour should be an hour from the time they touch your body not from when you walk in the room.
