Meanwhile, the servers gathered at the bar (within sight of me) and continued to ignore me. Finally, I asked for a table and then a guy sat me down and served me half a glass of water. Then I waited and waited and waited. Finally, around 8:57 PM, a server came to tell me that the kitchen was already closed (the kitchen typically closes at 9:00 PM on that day of the week). I then reminded the server that I had been waiting for 30 minutes. She said that, regardless, the kitchen was already closed. I repeated the fact that I had been waiting for 30 minutes for somebody to take my order. She apologized but insisted the kitchen was already closed. I then asked to speak to the manager. She left and came back later to tell me they were going to leave the kitchen open until 9:30 PM for me. Later, one of the servers gave me a nasty look while looking at her watch as if saying why are you still here? I thought to myself if they had given me a table and had taken my order when I first arrived, they would have been done before 9:00 PM. I'm writing this simply hoping that a manager will read it and re-train the staff. I was a Quality Assurance supervisor so I understand how valuable feedback is.
